Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 75: Titan's Last Words and Entering the Ruins

"Impossible to be weakened to the point where just a few Star Realm Masters can resolve it?"

Richard repeated the Titan's words, his expression looking as if he had seen a ghost.

No, are Star Realm Masters weak creatures? Why does it sound like in front of that monster, they are just like foot soldiers?

"Don't think I'm joking, I can simply tell you about our strength," the Titan said seriously.

"Although in the late stages of the war, our Dominators lost quite a few. But before the decisive battle, we had twelve Breaking Limit Sovereigns, twenty-seven Eighth-level Dominators, and fifty Seventh-level Dominators.

As for World Masters like you and me, there were almost enough to use as an army.

This doesn't even include the three Civilization Leaders who have surpassed Breaking Limit and are just one step away from Eternal.

Each of these three Civilization Leaders is capable of defeating multiple Breaking Limit Sovereigns."

The Titan's data left Richard's expression frozen.

Twenty-seven Eighth-level Dominators, fifty Seventh-level Dominators, not to mention the even higher-level Breaking Limit Sovereigns, and Civilization Leaders.

And this is the number after the losses.

This means that at its peak, the number of Dominators in the Civilization Alliance was even above this.

"That thing is a monster."

Richard's voice unconsciously carried a trace of tremor.

These figures were too terrifying, even without lower-tier forces, just those twenty-seven Eighth-level Dominators could crush all the known combined civilizations.

As for those even more terrifying Breaking Limit Sovereigns, half of them could probably sweep them all aside.

"It truly is a monster, otherwise, we wouldn't have been annihilated."

The Titan's voice didn't carry the grief of national ruin and family destruction; it was incredibly calm, so calm as if talking about an insignificant matter.

"However, after our weakening, you all should be able to slay it."

"Aren't you sad?" Richard couldn't help but ask.

Facing the extinction of the civilization that gave birth, nurtured him, and for which he fought all his life, how could the Titan accept it so calmly?

"Sad? Later one, my sadness was exhausted before I came here."

The Titan's voice revealed not a hint of emotion.

"Before coming here, we were already prepared for the loss of the final battle and the extinction of all civilization seeds.

The rise and fall of civilizations is an inevitable cycle.

The self-collapse of a civilization, being annexed by others, or, like us, encountering an unsolvable terrifying monster.

All of these are merely different processes, but essentially they constitute a 'decline' in the cycle.

The successful civilizations that have perished are numerous, and now it happens to be the Titan's turn."

"...You can accept it so calmly."

Richard found it somewhat difficult to accept the Titan's perspective, acknowledging the rise and fall of civilizations as inevitable, which Richard also admitted. But admitting is one thing; facing the actual decline, he definitely couldn't remain as calm as the Titan.

"Your confusion is quite normal."

The Titan's voice suddenly became gentle, seemingly recalling some warm memories.

"Have you ever witnessed the growth of a Star Realm Whale, watching them grow from a fry to a large fish, then gradually decline, finally spawning a World Seed on their corpse?

Then, the seed takes root and sprouts, internally birthing lifeforms like us.

If you have observed this cycle, you would likely be moved by its beauty.

Civilizations are merely a part of this cycle.

Without our extinction, would your birth be possible?"

The Titan seemed to fall into ancient memories, his voice tender, like singing a lullaby to an infant in a cradle.

"I once shepherded a Star Realm Whale, watched it grow from a fry into a whale the size of a Miniature World, then slowly age and ultimately die, transforming into a World Seed."

Saying this, the Titan suddenly waved his arm, drawing something like a Crystal Ball from the Void.

Inside the Crystal Ball, a miniature world seemed to be flourishing.

"Looks like you are lucky; it's still here."

The Titan's voice was full of excitement, even as the aura of decay on his body was almost tangible, his mood did not change.

"Look at this, the World Seed of Char's birth. I have sealed it within this Crystal Ball, creating a world in a bottle.

If you have potted plants like a World Tree, you can plant it inside.

In that case, you will have a mobile Miniature World as a vehicle or fortress in the future.

Both decorative and practical features maxed out.

Of course, if your skills are sufficient, using this thing as an ornament is top-notch as well."

With that, the Titan tossed the Crystal Ball to Richard.

As soon as Richard took hold of it, he felt a sharp heaviness, as if he were holding not a Crystal Ball, but a miniature mountain.

"Huh!"

Runes on Richard's body flickered, with Wizard Runes and Abyss Runes intermingling, allowing him to barely support the Crystal Ball.

"Huh, I didn't notice it before, how come you have an Abyss Aura."

The Titan noticed the outbreak of the Power of Abyss from Richard, and his tone suddenly turned curious.

"Could it be they've succeeded?"

Richard was taken aback by the words as well. Could it be that the Abyss is a product of the Titan Civilization?

"Have you seen the Abyss?"

"Of course I've seen it." A hint of pride flashed across the Titan's face. "I even participated in the development of the Abyss World."

As he spoke, a ball of golden blood, viscous like resin, suddenly appeared in his hand.

"Try integrating this into your body later. If they truly succeeded, then your Bloodline should be able to integrate with Titan Blood.

Your foundation is decent; upon integration, your physical body should be able to match, if not surpass, an average Titan."

Speaking of which, the Titan suddenly seemed somewhat regretful.

"The Abyss was a project spearheaded by us Titans, meant to save the world and preserve civilization, to fight against that monster.

Unfortunately, I was chosen to be the Executor of the Spark Plan and couldn't continue the research.

Alas, if the Abyss succeeded, Supreme's dragon... Hmm? Why can't I remember anything about Supreme?"

The Titan's six eyes narrowed slightly, realizing that there was something wrong with his memory.

"Not only have the memories of Supreme vanished, but many memories about the Titans have disappeared too. How can I remember the Furnace Men so vividly?

How can those little people survive so well?"

Richard's heart stirred as he replied, "The Furnace Men still exist today, but they've lost their intelligence, becoming beast-like creatures."

"Those little people..."

The Titan shook his head with a light chuckle, and within that laughter, Richard felt an incredibly complex emotion.

After a million years, he could still see the same era's race.

"Gone is gone. My intuition tells me that the Supreme race is very reliable. I reckon they're the key to the final battle."

The Titan's voice began to weaken, and the decay of his soul made his otherwise perfect physical body seem filled with death.

"Enough small talk. As your predecessor, I'll give you some advice. That monster feeds on war, and all those who lose in war become its food.

If you wish to win, then quickly mediate the wars of the entire community.

Those who resurface with the monster's power, though terrifying, fighting the monster itself is also a war."

The Titan's voice grew fainter, until it was barely audible, like a dream babble.

But just as his voice faded away, the Titan suddenly lifted his head, his six eyes radiating like six stars.

His voice was extraordinarily passionate.

"Successors, remember, our name is Shepherd Star Titan, Supreme, and Son of the Melting Furnace.

I believe my race and comrades have already paved the way to slay that monster for you."

It seemed as though the Titan bit down on steel, the killing intent seething in his eyes.

"Don't waste our efforts, make sure to kill that bastard!"

With that, the decaying aura of the Titan suddenly vanished, as if he had undergone an ultimate transformation, reborn once again.

But Richard knew this was merely a manifestation of his physical power reaching a certain point.

The Titan's soul had already disappeared; his body was simply too strong, preventing it from dying immediately.

If Richard left it there unmanaged, before long, this body would be eroded by the special rules of this dimension, turning into a brand new Dimensional Creature.

Richard gently spoke to the Titan's body, "Rest assured, Pioneer. That monster will die without a doubt."

After saying this, he tore open a Space Rift and tossed the Titan's massive body inside.

Leaving the corpse here would be a waste; since the Titan was so intent on killing that monster, he probably wouldn't mind using his body as a weapon against it.

"Ulysses, come back, the matter is settled."

"Ga? It's over so soon?"

Ulysses sounded a bit startled; the exchange between Richard and the Titan hadn't lasted long, merely a few minutes.

To conclude a battle of such intensity with a powerful Titan in just a few minutes seemed unbelievable.

"He regained clarity, chatted with me for a bit, and then died of old age."

Richard slowly approached the spot where the Titan had been before awakening, finding a pitch-black Obelisk there.

A beam of blue light shot out from the Obelisk, scanning Richard from head to toe.

"Welcome, unknown Flesh Creature. Doomsday Spark Base 32 is open to you."

Listening to the cold voice of the main control, the base of the black Obelisk in front of Richard suddenly dispersed into countless small cubes, revealing an entrance.

At the same time, Ulysses also arrived beside Richard. After being scanned by the blue light, he also obtained permission to enter the base.

"Let's go, Ulysses. Let's see what our predecessors have left for us."
