What if Gohan landed in DC 2

Chapter 56: Chapter 12 (10, 11, 12)

Tony and the others stood in confusion as the shaking subsided, only to be hit by a tremendous shockwave.

"What in the…?" Tony muttered, reacting to the cosmic vibrations.

"That was weird…" Natasha agreed, still catching her breath.

Bruce studied the data, watching new figures flash across the monitors. "Tony…" he called. Tony stopped rubbing his eyes, trying to shake the uncomfortable feeling in his head.

"These readings—are they random fluctuations in cosmic tremors?" Bruce asked as Tony approached the screen and nodded.

"It shouldn't be fluctuating all the time, right?" Bruce pressed, wondering if he'd misunderstood something. Tony nodded grimly.

"What?" Natasha asked, frowning.

"What's that mean?" Steve added.

"Think of the foundation of reality as a set of laws, like the bedrock of existence. Those laws aren't supposed to fluctuate constantly. Sure, there are cosmic tremors, but these are kind of… unscrewing reality—like taking a nail out of something that was securely fastened. If we're not on a stable foundation, our universe will literally start to drift apart, probably within a year."

"I thought that took billions—if not trillions—of years, for the universe to go dark after running out of resources," Natasha said, raising an eyebrow. Steve looked surprised.

"That's a thing?" he asked.

Bruce interjected, "For some reason, our reality is just falling apart. Time is also acting strange…"

"If only we had Strange…" Tony groaned, then paused, struck by a thought. "We might not have Strange, but we do have Wong—"

As if on cue, a golden circular portal began to form. A somewhat puzzled-looking Asian man stepped through.

"Somehow, I had a feeling you were partially responsible for that cosmic pulse," Wong remarked, eyeing Tony, who shrugged.

"I did something, but whatever started this wasn't me," Tony confirmed as Wong eyed him suspiciously before nodding.

"That's why I said 'partially,'" Wong replied, rubbing his chin.

"Tony," Bruce called out, catching everyone's attention.

"Whatever that was, it seems to have stopped. But I can't tell whether the tremors have sped up the destabilization of our reality or if this is just some mechanism of reality—an unknown law that hasn't been discovered simply because not enough time has passed. From what I can tell, this could change the laws of physics as we know them…" Bruce looked horrified at the data as Tony approached to get a closer look.

"You're… right. If this goes on, fundamental constants will eventually change… If these numbers keep doing what they're doing, then things like mathematical constants, geometry, physics, and biological processes—life itself—could become unstable," Tony explained, and seeing their expressions, he continued.

"But to make it simpler, let's say the universe had a rule that made it life-friendly under certain conditions. Now those conditions won't operate as they're supposed to…"

"On the bright side, the tremors seem to have stopped," Bruce tried to find a silver lining.

Back with Gohan and the rest.

"We should return to the 21st universe—it's been a while," Gohan said, his tone casual yet firm. Vermont gave a small nod, always quick to follow his master's lead. But before they could move, a sudden, thunderous tremor shook the Time Nest.

"W-what was that?!" Circe exclaimed, her composure cracking. A place like the Time Nest never trembled on its own—not even during universe-ending crises.

Vermont's usual calm demeanor shifted as Chronoa appeared, her expression far graver than any of them had seen before.

"It's begun," she said quietly. "The Omni-Cycles are switching for the first time ever."

Gohan blinked, confused. "Omni-Cycles?" He turned to Vermont, silently hoping for clarification, but the Angel looked just as puzzled.

"I've lived through countless eons and witnessed the rise and fall of realities. Yet, I've never encountered this term," Vermont admitted, folding his arms.

Even Strix, couldn't hide her astonishment. "Not even you, Master?" She asked.

Chronoa took a deep breath, raising her hand. It shimmered faintly, almost as if it were phasing out of existence. "These cycles predate even me. They are the foundation of everything—older than time itself. I'd forgotten them, but now… it's impossible to ignore."

"Wait… what's happening to you?" Diana asked, her voice soft, as she noticed Chronoa's increasingly translucent form.

"As a Prime Kai of Time, I was created to uphold the current flow of reality," Chronoa said, a bittersweet smile gracing her lips. "But this shift renders my existence… redundant."

Gohan's fists clenched. "Is this what he meant by a surprise?"

Chronoa shook her head. "I don't believe so, this may have been his original plan. Whatever he intended, it seems his efforts only accelerated the inevitable." She stepped forward, creating a flickering portal with a wave of her hand.

"I should have known he'd be after the Temporal Crystal…." Shaking her head in frustration.

"You must return to your universe immediately. The boundaries that keep reality intact… are about to fall."

"The boundaries?" Gohan repeated, alarmed. "Isn't that Grand Zeno's jurisdiction?"

"It is," Chronoa confirmed. "And the Grand Priest has already issued an order to all Destroyer Gods: return to your universes, and maintain what order you can. You, Lord Gohan, are the last hope for yours."

Her words struck like thunder. Even Vermont looked shaken for a brief moment.

Chronoa's gaze softened as she looked at Gohan. "I'll be sending someone to support you. Beware of the Phantoms from the Abyss. With the collapse of boundaries, they'll grow far stronger. Even the Gods are not safe."

Before Gohan could respond, the portal pulled them through, depositing the group onto his Destroyer planet.

The sky, once calm, was now a chaotic swirl of pink and violet, as though the universe itself were warping. Another shockwave rattled the land, sending ripples through the heavens.

"Vermont," Gohan began, his voice sharp and commanding, "get the Grand Supreme Kai on this. And I want Zatanna back from the 7th—immediately."

"I've already contacted him," Vermont replied, his staff glowing faintly.

"Good. Now," Gohan continued, his tone softer but no less urgent, "look into the Omni-Cycles. We need answers."

Vermont nodded, his staff projecting an orb of ancient text. Gohan leaned in, his eyes narrowing.

"This… is restricted information," Vermont said, his brow furrowing. "It appears only the oldest Gods were allowed access to it."

"That explains why even you didn't know," Circe murmured. "If this was kept from active Destroyers, it's something only the original creator of this system could understand."

Gohan nodded grimly. "And if Chronoa herself is being… erased…" His voice trailed off as he looked toward the shifting sky.

Before they could process further, Circe's voice broke the silence. "Not to interrupt, but isn't your wedding in six months?"

The group froze, the absurdity of her statement hitting like a cold slap.

"Circe," Vermont sighed, "your timing is impeccable."

Suddenly they felt it, a dark, oppressive aura descended upon the universe.

"That… doesn't feel like a god," Diana muttered, her hand instinctively moving toward her blade.

Circe's expression darkened. "No," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "That's a Demon God—Trigon."

Vermont's eyes narrowed. "If he's back, it's because the collapsing boundaries have given him easy access."

"Then let's send him back," Gohan said, his voice steady. A milky glow began to surround him, his Ki flaring as his determination grew.

Back on Earth, the skies churned with a menacing, blood-red hue, casting an eerie pall over the world. The once-bright sun had dimmed, as though cowering beneath an encroaching evil. Across the planet, people froze in fear as a dark presence spread, suffocating the air like a heavy fog.

The Watchtower was in full lockdown. Alarms echoed through its halls, and in the command center, tension ran high as the League scrambled to assess the situation.

A red streak zipped into the room as Flash skidded to a halt beside the group. He took in the scene with wide eyes: the League stood clustered around Raven, who was shackled and surrounded by glowing red magic circles etched into the floor. Her normally pale complexion was flushed with dark energy, and her labored breathing made the oppressive atmosphere all the more chilling.

"What's going on here?" Flash demanded.

"Trigon," Batman replied grimly, not bothering to look up. His voice was sharp, but there was a rare undertone of unease.

"Wait, Trigon? You mean the giant, world-ending demon god? That Trigon?" Flash asked, his usual quips failing to mask his growing dread.

"None other," came a dry, British voice. A man stepped out of the shadows, his trench coat and cigarette somehow making him seem both out of place and utterly at home in the chaos.

"And you are?" Flash asked, raising an eyebrow.

"John Constantine," the man said with a sardonic grin. "Occasional sorcerer, professional pain in the arse, and, as of today, your best shot at not being obliterated by big, fiery daddy issues."

"Cute," Flash retorted, but Constantine had already turned his attention back to Raven, who let out a gut-wrenching scream. Her head snapped back, and her glowing eyes radiated raw pain.

"Leave me alone… father…" she whispered, her voice cracking as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Supergirl stepped forward, her usual confidence faltering. "Is there anything we can do to help her?" she asked, her voice thick with concern.

"Not unless you've got a spare divine intervention lying around," Constantine muttered, crouching beside Raven. He pulled a talisman from his coat and began chanting in a low, guttural tone.

Raven's energy pulsed violently, forcing Constantine to shield his face as a wave of darkness lashed out. But he pressed on, his words growing louder until the energy began to coalesce into two distinct forms.

"Bloody hell," Constantine muttered, holding up the talisman as the energy shifted. A green mist wrapped around the dark aura, slowly forcing it back. "There's two bloody forces at work here. The green one's suppressing her energy, but the red—it's feeding off her. Accelerating the corruption."

The League exchanged uneasy glances. Beast Boy, his usual playful demeanor replaced with raw fear, stepped forward. "We need Gohan. If anyone can help her, it's him."

Batman's jaw tightened. "Unfortunately, I don't think he's even in this universe."

"But isn't he supposed to be protecting, I don't know, the universe?" Conner asked, stepping forward, frustration evident in his tone.

"It was a summons from the creator of everything," Barry replied, his voice edged with concern. "It's not something he could just decline."

"How long has he been gone? Shouldn't he be back by now?" Beast Boy chimed in, his desperation growing. Each second Raven's condition worsened, and the thought of losing her gnawed at him.

"Convenient," Constantine quipped, lighting a cigarette. "Your big, bad Destroyer God's out playing interdimensional hopscotch while we're stuck dealing with Trigon's holiday plans."

"Enough!" Karen interjected, her voice firm. "Listen to yourselves. If Gohan isn't here, it's because he's dealing with something more important—or training to stop exactly this kind of threat." Her glare silenced them. "You all felt those shockwaves. They started before Trigon appeared. The only person we know who could shake the universe like that is Gohan—and he wouldn't do it without cause."

"So, you're saying he's probably fighting Trigon already?" Roy asked hesitantly. Karen shrugged but didn't deny it.

Before anyone could respond, the Watchtower's AI interrupted. "Cosmic disturbance detected. God of Destruction Lord Gohan, Angel Vermont, Wonder Woman, Candidate Destroyer Strix, and Circe, the Witch of Aeaea, are approaching."

The room froze.

"Well, I'll be damned," Constantine muttered, standing. "Speak of the devil—or in this case, the bloke who can kill him."

A blinding light enveloped the room. When it faded, the group stood at the center of the chamber: Gohan, Vermont, Diana, Strix, and Circe. They radiated an overwhelming presence, their battle-worn appearances testifying to the hell they'd just endured.

"Diana!" Supergirl exclaimed, stepping forward. She stopped short, stunned by her transformation. Diana's armor gleamed like molten metal, her posture unyielding, exuding a pressure that made even her allies uneasy.

Circe smirked faintly, as if amused by their shock. "Don't worry, children. The Amazon is still on your side—for now."

But all attention soon shifted to Gohan. His energy was perfectly controlled, yet its sheer weight pressed against everyone present. In his Super Saiyan God form, he seemed untouchable, his gaze calm but piercing.

"So," Constantine said, breaking the tension, "the cavalry's here. About bloody time."

Gohan stepped forward, his sharp eyes locking onto Raven. "What's her condition?"

"She's got two energies battling for control," Constantine said, handing him a talisman. "I've suppressed one, but the other's locking her down. Time's running out."

Kneeling beside her, Gohan placed a hand on Raven's forehead. His crimson energy flared, pushing back the oppressive darkness surrounding her. The League watched in awe as the light battled the corruption with a force that felt almost divine.

"Raven," Gohan said softly, his voice steady. "You're stronger than this. Fight it."

Her breathing slowed as the light grew brighter, a faint glimmer of hope flickering to life.

"Looks like we've got a shot after all," Constantine muttered, lighting a fresh cigarette.

The moment of hope shattered as the Watchtower trembled violently. A chilling laugh echoed through the chamber.

"Oh, you fools," a voice rumbled, dark and mocking. "Did you truly think you could stop me?"

The temperature dropped as a towering, horned figure materialized. His burning eyes swept the room with malevolent glee.

"Trigon," Gohan said, rising to face the Demon God.

"So, you're the so-called God of Destruction," Trigon sneered. "A mere child playing with forces beyond his understanding."

Gohan remained silent, his gaze unwavering.

Trigon smirked, raising a hand toward Raven. "I won't be needing you anymore, vessel." A beam of dark energy shot toward her.

Barry moved instantly, racing to pull Raven to safety. His eyes widened in shock as Gohan appeared beside him mid-sprint, effortlessly matching his speed.

"Barry," Gohan greeted casually. "Mind slowing things down a bit?"

Barry blinked. "We're already in super speed."

"Then let's go faster."

Barry complied, increasing his perception. In that brief moment, Gohan explained the situation. Barry moved Raven to safety while Gohan intercepted the beam, reducing it to harmless sparks with a touch.

Barry reappeared next to Batman, holding Raven. "She'll be fine. Gohan healed her—she just needs rest. Also…" His voice faltered. "We need to talk." He made eye contact with the Sorcerer, who hesitated before relenting.

Gohan turned back to Trigon, his expression calm but cold. "You're trespassing."

Trigon chuckled darkly. "The King's protection is fading. The borders of reality grow weak, and the Abyss is stirring. Soon, this universe will be mine."

"I doubt it," Gohan said, stepping forward. His aura flared briefly, the pressure nearly unbearable. "Leave, or I'll destroy you."

Trigon's laughter echoed through the chamber. "Do you think you can frighten me, child? I am fear."

Raising his hand, the Demon God appeared to seize hold of something invisible.

"John Constantine," Trigon sneered, venom dripping from his tone, "as insignificant a creature as you are, you've proven a persistent thorn in the side of quite a few demon lords and minor kings."

In the corner of the room, John Constantine suddenly dropped to his knees, gasping for air. His hands clawed at his throat as if an unseen force were crushing it.

"B-Bloody hell…" John choked out between ragged breaths. Despite the pain, he managed a weak smirk, his sharp blue eyes glaring up at the Demon God. "Smarter than most of those demon lords, I'll give you that…"

Trigon growled, increasing the pressure on the magic user. "I am far more than those imbeciles. That should inform you how utterly futile your schemes are against one as great as I."

John gasped again but then chuckled dryly, his body suddenly disintegrating into ash. Trigon's glowing eyes narrowed as his hand clenched at nothing.

"An illusion," Trigon rumbled.

Before he could act further, a sharp pain pierced his back. Trigon roared in anger, spinning around to see John emerging from the shadows, flipping him off with a cheeky grin.

"You're just as full of yourself as they were," Constantine taunted, holding up a crimson blade glinting with hellish energy. "Recognize this? It's Etrigan's blade. Cheers!"

Turning to Gohan, Constantine smirked. "All yours, mate,"

Trigon growled, his immense hand lashing out to crush the human pest, but John disappeared into the shadows again. His voice echoed from all directions.

"Don't bother, mate. I've got escape routes set up all over. Gotta say, for someone as 'great' as you claim, you've got a blind spot the size of bloody London."

Before Trigon could give chase, Gohan stepped between them, his fiery red aura illuminating the room.

"You're wasting your time, Trigon," Gohan said coolly, his voice carrying a dangerous edge. "If that's all it takes to wound you, I suggest turning tail and running." Gohan was certainly impressed by the Sorcerer.

'Thats feels like a watered down version of Kai Magic…I wonder what he'd be like under a Supreme Kai?' Gohan mused, he needed more powerful beings in his universe.

Trigon's fiery gaze shifted to Gohan, his anger replaced by an unsettling grin. "Ah… it's a girl, isn't it?"

Confusion spread across Gohan's face as he raised an eyebrow. "A girl? What is a gir-" slowly he put two and two together.

The realization hit Gohan like a thunderclap. His expression hardened, and his aura flared into Super Saiyan God, the crimson energy surrounding him burning brighter. In an instant, he appeared in front of Trigon, slamming his fist into the Demon God's gut with such force that Trigon doubled over in pain.

"How do you know that?" Gohan demanded, his hand closing around Trigon's throat like a vice.

Trigon's grin only widened as he struggled to speak, his voice dripping with malevolence. "I know… more than you think…"

Before Gohan could squeeze the life out of him, Trigon's body dissolved into a thick red mist that enveloped the Saiyan. Gohan's body froze as he inhaled the oppressive fog, choking on its malevolent energy.

"That's Hell's Torment," Constantine muttered grimly from the safety of a protective barrier. "Nasty stuff. Breathe it in, and you're liable to lose your mind."

Diana stepped forward, concern etched on her face. "We have to do something. Gohan—"

"Stay back!" Constantine firmly asserted. "The lad's strong enough to fight it, but if you get involved, you'll just give Trigon more leverage."

Inside the suffocating mist, Gohan's fury began to rise uncontrollably. Negative emotions surged through him, amplifying his rage and dulling his sense of reason. A purple aura ignited around him, Destroyer markings carving themselves across his chest. His hair shifted, and his eyes snapped open, radiating power.

With a roar, Gohan grabbed Trigon's shadowy form, forcing the Demon God to reappear. Trigon's laughter was cut short as Gohan tightened his grip, his Ultra Ego form radiating malice.

"You think you can control me?" Gohan growled, his voice deeper and more menacing. "I'll destroy you!"

Trigon grinned despite his predicament. "You and I don't seem too dissimilar."

Gohan faltered, his grip loosening as he clutched his head. Memories of Lord Ramton's warning echoed in his mind: 'Give it an inch, and it'll take everything.'

He had struggled with this darker aspect of Destruction since the very beginning, it was why he opted to use his divine Ki instead.

Suddenly, Diana's voice cut through the haze like a beacon of light. "Gohan! Show him what happens when he crosses a Destroyer's path!"

Her words anchored him. The markings on Gohan's chest disappeared, and his aura returned to its fiery red glow. Gasping for air briefly, Gohan controlled his breathing as Trigon punched him in the face, pushing the Destroyer back a few steps.

"Oh, you're more durable than I give you credit for," Trigon mocked as Superman walked next to Gohan.

"Do you need any help?" Clark asked Gohan who shook his head.

"I'll enslave everyone of you!" Trigon declared at them, he had an unsettling excitement in his eyes.

"No, I can tell he is holding back, but so am I," Gohan explained, Clark turned and looked at Trigon before stepping back.

"Do what you need to do," Gohan just nodded, but in an instant Trigon appeared in front of him, surprising both Gohan and Clark, he kicked at Gohan, knocking him with such force that he was launched through the Watchtower and down to earth.

Trigon smirked and gave one last glance at Raven. "You can have her, witch, I'm sure you can hear me," before giving chase to Gohan.
