Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Is It Time to Come Out After Watching for So Long?
The iron hook gauntlet, now infused with Phoenix Breath, directly penetrated and shredded the Destroyer's head.
This time, the damaged Destroyer didn't recover as before. The wound didn't simply deform—the entire structure was blasted into pieces.
The Phoenix Breath, sharing the same nature as the power of the Phoenix itself, provided Marcus with enough strength to easily smash these so-called artifacts.
The Destroyer, its head now obliterated, finally stopped moving, motionless like a corpse.
"Ha~ Now I can finally harvest!"
As he spoke, half of Marcus's body protruded from the Atlas [Sky Shaker] armor, and a wave of void energy enveloped the Destroyer.
Although this Destroyer was a parallel import, the energy contained within it remained substantial. It didn't take long for Marcus to extract seven Aya Stars.
Adding these seven Aya to his collection, he now possessed a total of twelve Aya Stars, enough to shape another Warframe.
Tossing aside the Destroyer's wreckage, Marcus examined the new energy in his hand.
"The power of the Destroyer?"
The Destroyer's beam attack was impressive, well-suited for his abilities.
He took out an empowerment body, poured the energy into it, and a golden empowerment materialized in his hand.
"I'll call you Light of Destruction!"
Now he had four special empowerments with different abilities: the Phoenix Breath obtained from The Pheonix, Pharaoh Light from the pyramid, the Crimson Power from Juggernaut, and now this Light of Destruction.
These empowerments allowed him to utilize different powers, significantly enhancing his combat abilities.
"Hmm... I wonder if I could collect the energy from all the Infinity Stones to create an empowerment?"
The thought excited Marcus.
The idea was promising. He might actually be able to collect energy from the Infinity Stones to create different empowerments.
By incorporating empowerments containing the energy of Infinity Stones, perhaps his armor could be upgraded to an Infinity Armor, making it vastly more powerful.
"It seems there are three Infinity Stones on Earth right now."
He was well aware of the Infinity Stones' locations on Earth. Besides the Tesseract that he had already extracted energy from, there was also the Eye of Agamotto hanging around the Ancient One's neck, and the Aether particles that will appear on earth later on.
He knew the locations of the other stones as well.
"For the Power Stone I need go to space, maybe waiting until it is in Xandar, Thanos has the Mind Stone in the scepter, and the Red Skull guards the Soul Stone on Vormir.
Except for the Soul Stone, the others should be obtainable..."
These three stones were all in the space beyond Earth. Among them, the Soul Stone would be the most difficult to acquire. After all, obtaining it required sacrificing someone you loved.
"Thanos, I'm waiting for you!"
Marcus thought to himself as he raised his head to look skyward.
"Shouldn't it be time to come out after watching for so long?"
As early as when the Destroyer arrived, he had detected fluctuations in the surrounding space through Limbo [Rift Prison].
These spatial disturbances were too obvious for the Limbo Rift Prison to miss.
His arm transformed into the Limbo [Rift Prison]. With a light swipe, Marcus walked directly into the mirror dimension that was emitting the spatial fluctuations.
"Long time no see, Master Ancient One. Is the one-eyed old man beside you the owner of that armor outside?"
Marcus's sudden intrusion stunned the two people in the mirror dimension.
The Ancient One remained composed—she knew what kind of power Marcus possessed. Odin, however, was different. He was still very curious about Marcus, the man who had punched through the Destroyer with a single blow. Odin had rushed to Earth from his deep sleep.
"Yes, this is—"
"God King Odin. I know who he is—just a failed father who couldn't properly raise his own children."
Marcus wasn't intimidated by Odin's presence. Though he coveted Asgardian artifacts to extract Aya Stars, that didn't mean he needed to grovel. Odin wasn't any nobler than him.
"Haha, you're right. I am indeed a failed father."
Odin didn't seem bothered by Marcus's evaluation—he acknowledged his failings.
Ignoring Odin, Marcus turned to the Ancient One. Since she was here, it saved him the trouble of seeking her out later.
"Master Ancient One, I have several different powers in my possession. Do any of them look familiar to you?"
As he spoke, he displayed the Crimson Power and the Phoenix Breath fused into Atlas [Sky Shaker].
The origins of these powers were extraordinary, and both the Ancient One and Odin's expressions changed instantly upon seeing these empowerments.
"This is the power of the Phoenix and energy from the Crimson Cosmos. Where did you find them?"
"Don't worry—they're not from Earth. They were on two individuals in other places."
Hearing this, the Ancient One noticeably relaxed.
Both the Phoenix Force and the Crimson Cosmos were immensely powerful entities, as were their energies.
Although Kamar-Taj possessed spells that utilized power from the Crimson Cosmos, those were forbidden magic that only past Sorcerer Supremes could wield. Even then, they would never use such spells lightly.
As for the Phoenix Force, it was an even more dangerous entity—a powder keg that could erupt at any moment.
Fortunately, Marcus had explained that these forces came from elsewhere, indicating that Kamar-Taj's dimensional defenses remained intact.
Nevertheless, both the Ancient One and Odin wondered where Marcus had obtained these powers and what he intended to do with them.
Seeing their curiosity, Marcus decided to be direct. He looked at the two and asked:
"Master Ancient One, I actually came back to find you. You should have the deepest understanding of all dimensions, so I'd like to ask: which other powerful dimensional energies might leak into our reality?"
Marcus asked this because of his experiences with the mutants.
The power from the Juggernaut originated with the master of the Crimson Cosmos, and both the Ancient One and Odin recognized its origins.
This suggested that the Crimson Cosmos was connected to two or perhaps more worlds, with power occasionally bursting forth and spreading to other universes.
This raised questions for Marcus—could there be similar situations with the Void? Could unexpected fluctuations in the Void create cracks in different worlds?
Marcus's inquiry stunned both the Ancient One and Odin. Powerful dimensional energies flowing outward?
Almost all dimensions released their power, intentionally or not. Each dimension constantly sought to grow.
And the easiest way for a dimension to grow was by devouring other dimensions—the real reason Kamar-Taj defended against interdimensional threats so vigilantly.
"Well... I can only say that whether intentional or not, such phenomena occur in all dimensions. Why do you ask?" The Ancient One replied after a moment of silence.
It happens in all dimensions?
Marcus began to understand—perhaps the crack in the Void was indeed an accident.
