Chapter 11: A Sensible System

"What the hell are you...?"

Green Goblin considered running away, and as he was about to escape on his glider, Norton noticed his intention. He wouldn't let Green Goblin get away; this was his reward!

Norton tapped the button next to his belt with his hand.

"Clock! UP!"

Time stopped in an instant, and everything around him froze. Norton slowly approached Green Goblin from below. Once he was close enough, he jumped up and quickly pressed the button of the insect meter. 

"One! Two! Three!"

"Rider! Kick!"

"Rider Kick!"

A mechanical sound reverberated as the kabuto horns on his head flickered with lightning, spreading over his body and finally concentrating at his feet.

When Norton reached the same height as Green Goblin, he delivered a horizontal kick to Green Goblin's arm and waist, causing his armor to burst instantly.

"Clock! Over!"

"AHH!!!" Green Goblin's screams echoed through the sky.

Separated from his glider, he crashed violently into the rubble beside him. His face twisted in pain under the mask as his arm bones and several ribs broke.

Those present had no idea what happened. They only saw Norton disappear and then Green Goblin being kicked down hard, followed by Norton landing gracefully on the ground.

"Do you want to stop me? Okay! We will meet later!!"

As these words left his mouth, the glider released several smoke bombs into the air, filling the carnival square with smoke.

During this time, the glider reached Green Goblin, who grabbed a corner with his intact hand, and it carried him away from the scene.

"Grass, my reward!!" Norton was about to pursue him when a voice in his head interrupted him.

"Congratulations to the host for defeating Green Goblin; reward: the Man of Steel (Note: As the name suggests, you will have a steel-like physique; RPGs will only have a shocking effect)."

"Issuing a mission: Defeat three supervillains in total, and the reward is randomly unknown."

This news made Norton's eyes shine. It wasn't about the reward, but the mission's completion condition. The mission required defeating instead of killing, suggesting he could deliberately keep the card bug in hand to secure future rewards.

But in the next second, the system shattered his long-term reward plan for gaining easy victories.

"Reminder: This system is a hero system. If you deliberately let an enemy go to manipulate reward paths, it will be considered a mission failure."

Well, this system fixes bugs a little too fast. Still, at least before Thanos arrives, he can probably take on other villains twice.

"Oh! When did you get that ability? It's amazing!" Peter shouted excitedly from behind.

"This is not the place to talk. Let's go back first, the old place." After speaking, Norton released his transformation, sprayed out a cobweb, and left the spot. Gwen and Peter followed suit.

Peter turned and waved to the photo-taking crowd, saying, "Bye, I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."

After this incident, the trio's reputation officially began, especially Norton, who was the most eye-catching among them, earning the nickname "the one-horned god" from fans.

Later, when Norton saw this title, he burst into laughter. He had never encountered such a title, feeling it ruined Kabuto's reputation. He vowed to find an opportunity to spread the name of Jiadou in the future.

"Huh?" When Norton passed by a park, he found a white-haired girl threatened by a robber with a knife. "Isn't that Felicia?" 

The future Black Cat, Felicia Hardy, is in the same grade as Norton, Gwen, and others. As early as freshman year, she had admiration for Norton and has been pursuing him until now. However, at that time, Norton's relationship with Gwen was ambiguous, and he has always refused Felicia's pursuit. 

As for the man who can be said to have influenced Black Cat's life in the original work, Ryan, when he saw Norton and Felicia approaching, he consciously disappeared from their sight. 

"Hand over the valuables!" the robber threatened. But in the next second, a black figure appeared in front of his eyes. "Hi sir, robbery is not allowed in broad daylight, not even at night." 

Thanks to the Spider-man hood, Norton habitually issued a warning and then punched the robber in the face. The robber fainted instantly. Fortunately, he recovered, but the bridge of his nose was already obviously deformed. 

"Norton?" Felicia's question made Norton pause in place. How did she guess it was him? Norton's reaction made Felicia's suspicion more certain, and she asked in surprise, "Norton, are you a black spider?" 

"How did you guess it?" Norton hesitated for a while, and after making sure that there were no surveillance cameras nearby, he took off his hood and turned to ask. He couldn't understand; he was wearing a spider hood, and the hood had a voice-changing function. Could this be the insight of the future Black Cat? 

A confident smile appeared on Felicia's face. She pointed at herself with a thumbs up and said proudly, "I know your figure well, you look naked in front of me, and when I asked you, your reaction was obvious, so I dared to conclude." 

Norton was surprised when he heard this. When did the famous Black Cat awaken this tricky attribute? It made him feel a little chill down his spine. Might he awaken a similar attribute in the future? Fortunately, with his strong physique, he won't be an easy target.

"Trigger a temporary mission to train Black Cats. It is the duty of a hero to train future superheroes. Mission props: human body strengthening agent. Mission reward: you understand."

"???"

What do I understand? Why is this system so weird? Ah, well, no harm anyway.

Norton took out the human body strengthening agent from the space in his backpack and said to Felicia, "This is for you. I need an assistant. Come and learn fighting techniques with me when you have time. Understand?"

The tone was a bit domineering, but Felicia liked it very much. After all, she never gave up, even when refused, and her face still had that persistent flush. 

"Understood!" Felicia said excitedly, snatching the human body strengthening potion from Norton's hand.

"I still have something to do, I'm leaving first." Norton put on the hood again without any hesitation and fled the scene directly.

Felicia remained on the spot, waved her hand, and jumped a few times. "Yes!!"
