Chapter Ten: Transformation

"I'm already looking forward to the days when we will live together with Norton in the future," Helen said, savoring the food Norton had cooked, her eyes closed in enjoyment.

"Helen, not so fast," George rolled his eyes, a bit speechless at his wife's enthusiasm. Though he admitted Norton's cooking skills were good, at least better than his wife's lemon bass.

"It's not fast; they've all grown up."

"But they still have to study..."

Suddenly, a voice from the TV interrupted the argument between the husband and wife. Norton had turned it on, not to stop their conversation but out of habit, to check the news for any big events.

"Today, Stark Industry and Osborn Industry jointly organized this world carnival, and the delegation sent by Stark Industry is having a drink with the board members of Osborn Industry. Among them, there are high-level military officials here, and the scene is really lively," the TV broadcasted live from the carnival.

"Hmph!" George wiped his mouth with a napkin and commented in a somewhat unfriendly tone, "These rich people occupy public resources on the street whenever they're happy, and we police are the ones troubled."

"I have to go out. Maintaining law and order is really not an easy task."

After George left, Norton also planned to head to the scene, sensing that where there were large crowds and police, accidents were likely.

"It's getting late, I have to go back," he said, eager to join in the fun and perhaps be fortunate enough to encounter a supervillain and complete a task.

"I'll see you off," Gwen offered.

When they got downstairs, Gwen hugged Norton, a bit coquettishly. "Why can't you stay longer?"

Since their relationship began, Gwen found herself more dependent on him, wanting to spend more time together.

"Gwen, my intuition tells me that there might be an accident at that carnival, so I have to rush there," Norton said, patting Gwen's head with a smile. "Do you want to come?"

"Definitely!" Gwen jumped up happily upon hearing this and went back inside to change into her battle suit. She had long wanted to save the world with her favorite person.

Norton used the kabuto extender in the form of a mask to carry Gwen, speeding down the road. The small gift issued by the system was praised by Norton in this regard. Both were wearing Spider battlesuits. To onlookers, they seemed like two people in unknown cosplay gear, but they soon recognized them as the pair who had recently waltzed on the building and began taking pictures with their phones.

"Why don't we swing by with the cobweb?" Gwen asked suspiciously from under the mask. After all, a motorcycle might get stuck in traffic, delaying them if something happened.

"Don't worry, I just want to try this out. It's my first time riding this bike." In fact, Gwen's house was not far from the carnival, and it would only take a few minutes to get there.

"Look, we're still on time." Norton stopped the motorcycle upon arriving at the carnival, which was still bustling with excitement. After dismounting, he hugged Gwen princess-style, and the kabuto extender turned around and left.

"Wow, autopilot," Gwen exclaimed, then realized she was in a princess hug in front of a crowd and said shyly, "Hey, there are still so many people here."

"Why panic? We're still wearing masks."

"That's right." Gwen immediately placed her hands on Norton's face, turning him to face her. To others, it seemed like two young lovers looking at each other affectionately.

The spectators were taking snapshots with their mobile phones and posting them on various social platforms. A hot search called "masked couple" instantly gained popularity. Regarding this, Norton could only feel speechless, saying, "You really know how to find trouble, my little white spider." Not only this time but also the last time in the building, Gwen relied on the mask on her face to make various intimate movements with Norton, making it appear they were a couple. How could Gwen be a little different from what she had been before?

"Hahahaha!!" Suddenly, crazy laughter came from the air, instantly attracting everyone's attention. A green figure threw a beeping sphere into the building. "I won't be out!!" "Boom!!!" The building was blown to pieces in an instant, and there were many high-class people standing on the balcony of the building. As the balcony collapsed, they all slipped and fell. Gwen hurriedly sprayed cobwebs to catch them, but was blocked by the green figure. "No, no, you can't save them, they all deserve to die!" Just in time to try this.

Norton stepped back a few steps, then raised his hand up. A ripple appeared in the air, and the Kabuto insect instrument quickly flew into his hand. "Henshin!" The mechanical sound rang out. The belt began to spread over his whole body like a nano-mecha, and finally, a white figure appeared. It was true that one of them was the belated Peter.

"Ahhh!!" There was a young woman sitting on the balcony, struggling to hold on. That woman had orange-red hair. If Norton saw it, he would definitely guess who it was. She was future Peter's MJ, Mary Jane. "Here I come!!" Peter, wearing a red and blue Spider-battlesuit, fell from the sky and caught her. After placing Mary Jane in a safe location, he turned to deal with the green figure.

The three Spider-men stood together, confronting the figure in the sky, although one of them didn't look like a Spider-Man at all. "Three ordinary people in fancy clothes just want to save the world??" "Then let you save enough!!" With that, the green figure took the Demon Glider back into the air and fired missiles at nearby buildings.

"Boom!!" Countless pieces of gravel fell quickly, and the people below closed their eyes in despair, preparing to face their own death. "No!!!" Gwen and Peter exclaimed, spewing out cobwebs to save people. However, there were too many to save, and they felt a profound sense of powerlessness.

"Castoff!" "Cast, off! Change, Beetle!" After hearing the voice, the Green Goblin looked back, and a red figure appeared in front of him. He only heard "Clock, UP!" and the red figure disappeared instantly. The next second, he heard "Clock, Over!" and the sound of a pile of rubble falling to the ground. "This is impossible!!" the Green Goblin exclaimed when he turned his head, as he saw all those people who would have been crushed by the gravel standing in front of him unharmed. They looked at the red figure in front of them as if they were gazing at a god, for being able to save everyone in an instant was nothing short of divine in their eyes.
