Chapter 34- Magic ship artifact

Zuro did not say anything as his eyes were focused on the convoy ahead. He gripped a black dagger tightly in his hand as they approached.

When they got closer, they saw about five convoys and the leading convoy with their flag. The members of the Shadow sect were all lounging around as they talked and gisted to one another. Not knowing danger was coming to strike this night.

Zuro scanned all of them for spirit fluctuations and found that the strongest of them were in the seventh level of Qi accumulation. The rest were all either at the fifth level or the sixth level.

After he notified Trogan with hand signals, they both went in different directions to kill their targets.

Out of the thirty two Shadow sect convoys, there were only five in the seventh level. And they were far spread out. The five in the seventh level kept to themselves and avoided company.

According to the spirit energy fluctuations that Zuro sensed, three were at the peripheral of the convoy camp. While two were inside tents meditating.

Trogan went to deal with the ones in the tent while Zuro would take care of those at the peripheral.

After he suppressed his aura till even he couldn't sense it, he slapped a talisman unto his wrist. The talisman had the power to completely hide someone's life force and aura but for only twenty minutes.

Which was enough time for what he wanted to do. Trogan sneaked into one of the tents unannounced. The Shadow sect member was in a deep meditative state, hence he couldn't wake up even if he felt Trogan's presence.

Trogan brought out a small dagger and stabbed towards the shadow sect cultivator.

But just as he stabbed him, Trogan felt a sense of impending danger and did not hesitate to stab the shadow sect member with his dagger.

At that time, the Shadow sect cultivator opened his eyes but all he saw was Trogan's figure over him. He opened his mouth but no words came out. In the next second he died.

After the cultivator died, Triga felt the impending danger receding as if he had died as well. When he looked towards the floor, he saw a black liquid substance falling to the ground.

'What is that?'

Trogan asked himself but got no answer. He then gritted his teeth and left instantly. As he went to the next target, he found that the same black liquid stuff after he killed him.

'This thing is just too strange! I'll tell Zuro what I saw.' Trogan said inwardly and went to the place were they were to meet up.

He waited patiently until the talisman he put on his wrist had expired. Then he saw Zuro not long after with a complicated expression on his face.

The next day, Grey, Captain, Luo and Ange rushed out of the scavenger camp and towards Glorycity. The Captain had a nonchalant expression on his face. Luo was rather carefree, Ange looked worried while Grey was indifferent.

To get to the Shadow sect, they had to use a teleportation array from Glorycity to Antler city, which was close to the Shadow sect.

The distance to the Glory city was very long as they took several hours. But when they the bustling city filled with people, they comported theirselves while Grey pulled down the hood hiding his grey hair.

'So this is my life now, hiding my hair because it's too pretty.'

Grey said inwardly but did not complain. After paying a heavy amount to use the teleportation array, they all stepped in and felt their body being warped as they were pulled to another point in space.

The teleportation only took a few seconds and when their figures started to get clearer, they came out. Grey touched his head as he tried to shake himself out of the vertigo.

He then took a look at Antler city and was shocked. Compared to Glory city, Antler city was very modern and stylish.

They were tall metals buildings and spirit cars driving around. Grey was so used to seeing the pitiful buildings and small houses that when he saw Antler city, he held his breath for a few seconds.

Even Glory city which he had thought was alright, looked crude compared to Antler city. The teleportation array they came out of was at a secluded place so they didn't see many people and cars but those that they did see, left him impressed.

Other than Grey and Ange who were surprised, Captain and Luo had their usual expressions. It was clear that they have been here before.

The Captain beckoned them and together, they left the stylish Antler city.

The world outside Antler city looked desolate and barren. As they neared the exit, Grey saw some guards stationed at the exit. They asked them some questions which the Captain calmly answered.

Then, an invisible white dome rose up a little to allow then passage outside. Grey's eyebrows were raised in surprise.

After they came out, they walked for some certain distance before coming to stop. The Captain then brought out a small bottle.

The Captain flicked his wrist and the small bottle transformed into a huge ship that emitted strong spirit energy fluctuations. This chapter was made possible by the MV_LEMPYR community.

Grey noticed it was the same ship inside a bottle that the Captain showed them the other day. The magic artifact.

'So he got it to work!'

The Captain landed on the ship and everyone followed. The Captain then went to the bow and dropped some spirit stones.

The huge boat then let out strange flow and the energy fluctuations coming from it increased.

'But how will the ship move?'

Grey thought went the ship suddenly took off the ground and tore through the air in a direction. The flying ship was going so fast that it disappeared into a white light.

As Grey and the others went towards the Shadow sect several miles away at breakneck speed, the clouds suddenly tore open and a slender figure came down.

"Interesting."

She was wearing emerald green clothes and held an umbrella over her head. Her gaze seemed to hold complication as she stared at the departing figures of the Captain and suddenly brought out a huge ship bigger than the Captain's.

The ship emitted strong spiritual fluctuations that surpassed the Foundation Establishment realm. She hopped on the ship that suddenly tore through the skies in the same direction that Grey and the Captain went.
