Chapter 1466: The Little Witch Of Firmaments
-----
"Hello everyone, sorry for being late! I brought along a friend, I hope you don't mind her," Cattalina said. "Her name is Helene; she's a friend I made in the Magus Academy years ago."
"Nice to meet you, everyone, it's an honor to meet the Summoner, the Saintess, and the heroes…" she said, she sounded a little flustered, but she was doing her best to speak.
"Oh! I didn't know you had a friend mom! Hi!" Erika waved her hand. "Please come in! We were about to have dinner! Blake can she eat with us?"
"Of course," I nodded. "Feel free to sit down whenever you want. There's plenty of food on the table, you can serve yourself whatever you want."
"Ooh… so much…" Helene said, looking at the huge feast. "I was just feeling hungry, this is amazing…"
"Yes, we always have huge feasts for our meals, there's a lot of young people here still growing up, so they always need a lot of food, fufu," Cattalina giggled.
"Indeed, I can tell…" Helene nodded.
As we enjoyed our meals, we talked with Cattalina and Helene, the dwarf woman was actually a well-known Rank 8 Witch, which Hellburn and Alberta recognized after a hearing her title.
"W-Wait, you're the Witch of Firmaments?!" gasped Alberta. "M-My sincere apologies! I didn't know it was you!"
"Woah, you really have great connections, huh?" Hellburn laughed at Cattalina.
"I wouldn't say they're that great, she's just friend," Cattalina giggled, patting Helena's head.
"We just happened to become exceptional as we grew up…" Helene shrugged, rather prideful of her accomplishments. "I'm happy to see you, old friend… I wish we could meet in other circumstances, but indeed, there's a lot happening here. The entire Magician Guild is constantly looking for a cure to the Curse, but so far, there has been little we can do other than quarantine the infected and supply them with Mana and Life Force to keep them alive."
"I see… well I'm glad to know that there was at least someone trying to do something," I said with a nod. "Worry not, we've figured out a way to heal the curse, once we finish dinner, this entire city should be cured from it."
"I-I did hear from Cattalina, but… there's no way that's true?" Helene asked. "How are you even… a city-wide formation?!"
"We simply stole the demonic cultist's formations they had set up over at Stronghold," I explained. "It wasn't hard to modify them for other purposes than to just summon a demon gate."
"Is this… true?" Helene asked.
"Yeah," nodded Cattalina. "However, we might need a lot of power, right Blake?"
"Yes, we plan to work together to infuse as much holy power and mana into the formation… but we might need some more help to get the work well done," I said. "That's why I was wondering if you could help us, Helene? Not just you but the entire Magician Guild. It would be really appreciated."
"I… well, of course. I was already considering helping you all," Helene nodded with a gentle smile. "Please leave it to me and the guild, there's around four hundred magicians active right now, I can call them right now and tell them everything."
"That would be appreciated," I nodded. "There isn't anything complicated, once I tell you, just communicate with them and ask them to place their hands on the floor, their Mana will be then absorbed by the Formation."
"That easy?" Helene seemed surprised. "Very well then… Also, this food is wonderful… thank you for inviting me."
"Ah, well, I'm glad you've enjoyed it," I said.
The dinner continued as usual, as we learned a bit more about who was Helene and Cattalina, and their relationship as friends. I had no idea there was a Magus Academy out there, but it does makes sense that there's one, but only where those truly privileged may go.
Unlike Stronghold Academy, where everyone goes to train and get stronger to become soldiers and fight in the frontlines, the Magus Academy doesn't raise people to become fighters in specific… interestingly enough, it teaches them how to master their own Magic and Skills, and also it seemed that there were classes that taught how to use and empower spirits, and more.
"Wow, learning from mom's academic life is really interesting!" Erika said. "So you meet dad after all of that?"
"Ah yes, a few years later," nodded Cattalina. "And…"
As they talked, I heard words from Eleanora, the formation was already more than done, and it had been tested slightly by them beforehand, everything worked as intended.
It simply needed catalyzers, us, and the energy we would provide.
"It looks like the formation is done and we're done having dinner as well," I said. "I wish we could continue talking, but there's more important matters, I hope you understand."
"Of course, yeah," Helene nodded.
"No problem, Blake," Cattalina nodded. "So where do we go?"
"All of us can remain right where we are, there's no need to go anywhere," I said. "Those with the enchanted weapons, bring them out and raise them into the sky, as for the rest, infuse Mana into the floor. Helene, did you contact the guild?"
"Y-Yeah, I'll tell them about the plan right away," she nodded.
And then, without further ado, we started, the Formation activated, surprising many of the people within the city, a bright golden magic circle surged, with thousands of runes.
The magic circle spun rapidly, releasing heavenly light from within which even reached the night sky, illuminating it temporarily.
The people gasped, as the rays of light targeted many of them.
I expanded my senses, using my Cosmic Dragon Eyes to see everything around me.
Several people that were asleep forever suddenly woke up, as the light purified them.
Even those dying on the streets woke up, fully healed as well.
The entire coastal city changed in an instant, as if a god had suddenly decided to give their aid to these people.
And just like that, the golden formation disappeared, as if it was never there.
