Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)

Chapter 64: Asking the 3 kids about their mistake

"Then, just let him try it if he really wanted to," Luciel easily said.

They weren't sure what those crystals were, but it wasn't harmful. Even if Derek absorbs it in the wrong way, the current energy of just one crystal won't cause death just because he absorbed it.

Derek was an avid fan of cultivation novels, so he should have a general idea on how to absorb the energy from the crystals. The way to absorb those energies wasn't even that much different in how they absorb the energies from the surroundings.

"Yes, I'm really willing to try it!" Derek said eagerly. Derek was obviously listening to their conversation, so he answered immediately.

Luciel looked at Derek and saw that he was really very eager to try. He wasn't even afraid that he might really die if something was wrong.

"I already explained that you might really die if something goes wrong with this. If you're still that determined, even if your life is at risk, I won't stop you anymore," Treyton said while looking at Derek seriously.

"I know the risk, boss, but I'm still willing to try it," Derek also answered seriously.

"Ok, then you can try it later in the evening," Treyton finally agreed.

"Is our lunch not yet ready?" Luciel asked after Treyton and Derek finished speaking.

He exerted some energy just a while ago, so he was already hungry.

"It's already prepared. Everyone, let's have our lunch first," Treyton said.

Nina and the others immediately started distributing everyone's meal after hearing what Treyton said.

While eating, he immediately noticed that a lot of people were looking at him. Actually, he already noticed that after he came out of his bath, a lot of people kept glancing at him.

Well, he was already accustomed to people's stares, so even if they kept looking at him, he just continued eating without minding them.

After they finished their lunch, he finally turned to the three kids, who also kept looking at him while they were eating.

When Treyton told everyone to have lunch, the three kids who were still with their guardians also came to have their meals.

It seemed that while he was washing up, the three little kids who were frightened by what they experienced finally calmed down.

Sophie wasn't crying anymore, and Ashlee and Theo also came out of their shocked states.

They still weren't as lively as before, but at least they weren't as scared as they were a while ago.

"The three of you, what do you want to say?" Luceil asked the three of them, as it seemed that they wanted to say something.

"Brother, thank you for saving us!" Ashlee said.

"Thank you very much," Theo also said seriously.

"Thank you, brother!" Sophie also said.

"And what else?" Luciel asked again because he could see that they still wanted to say something.

"Brother, sorry because of us; your tablet was destroyed," Ashlee said.

"Sorry for troubling you," Theo added.

"Sorry," Sophie also said, following what Ashlee and Theo said, even though Luciel knew that she wasn't even truly aware of what she was sorry for, as it was very obvious in her innocent gaze, unlike Ashlee and Theo.

Ashlee and Theo were both saying sorry because they already knew him a bit.

Ashlee was saying sorry for causing his tablet to be destroyed because she knew that he was always using them.

Theo was saying sorry for troubling him because he really thought they had troubled him.

"No need to say sorry; your guardians would make up for it anyway," Luceil said while smiling.

He wouldn't let them compensate for saving the kids because he saved them on his own initiative, but they still need to compensate him for the tablet he broke for the kids.

They'll have to look for comics, songs, and movies for him later on.

"Now that you said your thanks and apologies, now tell me what your mistakes are," Luciel demanded.

The three of them lowered their heads as soon as he asked about what they did wrong. They were clearly afraid that they would be scolded; that's why they all lowered their heads.

They hadn't been scolded yet because Yang and Jane just finished comforting them, but they clearly realized that they made a mistake; that's why they were targeted, so they were all afraid of being scolded.

They stayed silent, but Luciel didn't plan to let them go.

"What is it?" Luciel asked again.

"We went somewhere farther away from others," Theo finally said.

"We went on our own without telling it to other brothers and uncles," Ashlee added.

When Theo and Ashlee said their mistakes, Sophie was also nodding her head when the two said something.

"It's good to know that all of you knew your mistakes. So, what should you do next time?"

"We won't play far away from mom, brothers, and uncles," Sophie answered immediately.

"We will always tell others where we want to go and wait for them to go with us," Ashlee said.

Theo also nodded his head in agreement with what Ashlee and Sophie mentioned.

"I also wanted to train more so that I won't be scared of those zombies, and I will be able to defeat them in the future!" Ashlee added energetically.

Ashlee was clearly not afraid of zombies, which was already apparent when she saw other zombies without being afraid.

What she was actually scared of today was not the zombies that attacked her but the thought that they were in great danger and they might die.

She didn't realize what she was really afraid of because of her age and few experiences of such things.

Luciel also didn't plan on telling her what really scared them at that time. They would realize it in the future, so he didn't plan on saying anything because it doesn't have any benefits anyway, whether he would tell them or not.

"Brother, can I train more from now on?" Ashlee asked.

"Of course, you can train more from now on," Luciel answered.

"I also wanted to train more!" Sophie also said.

"Me too," Theo added.

When Jane and Theo agreed that they would also go north, Sophie and Theo also started building up their stamina. They were running with Ashlee every day in the past week.

"I want to be as strong as brother! He easily killed the zombies like this!" Ashlee said while trying to imitate what he did a while ago.

"Yes, I'll be strong too!" Sophie also said while following Ashlee's lead and tried imitating his actions clumsily.

Theo didn't say or do anything anymore, but his eyes were clearly telling them that he had the same intentions.

"Don't worry, the three of you will be training more from now on," Luciel said with a smile.

Aside from running every day, they needed to train their reaction speeds.

They needed to at least be able to react immediately when they were in danger. They needed to at least be able to follow simple verbal commands for their safety.

The training they will be doing every day in addition to running would be to listen to commands and do them.

They needed to let their bodies be accustomed to it so that when they're in danger later on they could still react and wouldn't just freeze in a state of fear.

"Really?" Ashlee asked.

"Yes, of course. You can even start your training this evening," Luciel answered.

"Can't we train now?" Sophie asked.

"No, you are going to train this evening," Luciel immediately denied.

They had just eaten their meal, so it wasn't appropriate to train for the time being. They also needed to travel again, so the time was really inappropriate for training.

Just as he was about to ask Treyton what time they were going, he heard him saying that they needed to pack now and go.

After the others heard what Treyton said, all of them immediately started moving, and the place they set up for lunch became empty soon.

Ashlee also said goodbye to Sophie and Theo, and they went inside their cars.

As soon as he settled in his seat, he heard Yang say thanks.

"Luciel, thank you very much for saving Ashlee a while ago," Yang said seriously.

"You're welcome; by the way, you need to find another tablet for me and fill it up with songs, comics, and movies," Luciel replied.

"I will surely do it," Yang said seriously.

"Don't worry, you're going to do it with Jane, so tell her about it later."

"Okay."

"By the way, Treyton, where are we going now?" Luciel asked.

"We are going to stop by Nate's brother's family. We should be able to reach their place tomorrow," Treyton answered.

"I see."

Luciel didn't ask anything anymore and just brought out his phone and started playing games.

While playing games, he also listened to Ashlee's chatter about him. She was still vividly talking about what happened to them, especially about how he saved them from the baby zombies.
