Chapter 41: Stopping in a Grocery Store

"Ok, stop playing; your phone will be ruined with your crazy tapping," Treyton said and pulled him into his embrace.

Luciel, who was suddenly embraced, still looked at Treyton sullenly.

"We will surely look for more memory storages with a lot of songs, movies, and games on them," Treyton said.

"When are you going to look for them?"

"We will surely look for them tomorrow. Here, eat this first," Treyton said while opening a chocolate bar and giving it to Luciel.

"Be sure to include that on your task list tomorrow," Luciel said while eating the chocolate Treyton gave him.

His mood finally improved a little bit afterwards, so he just ate chocolates and watched a movie.

All of them knew that it would be dangerous staying at the city center, so they rushed on the road out of the city.

Near the evening, Treyton finally decided to stop in one of the grocery stores that was in a good location. It wasn't far from the main road, but it wasn't too near either. So, they could still make a barricade out of the things scattered all around.

The others went down and started to clean up the grocery store and made a barricade in their surroundings a bit.

"Sir, we are done cleaning up," Zam reported to Treyton.

"Ok. Ciel, let's go out," Treyton said while getting out of the car.

Luciel followed Treyton out of the car. When he entered the grocery store, he could see that the people who followed them were all excitedly getting something from the shelves and had already started eating them.

He knew that Treyton stopped in a grocery store because those people that came with them were all hungry.

He looked and saw that Nina and the others were already preparing their dinner, so he went round the grocery store to look for snacks he could eat.

The grocery store was really in good condition. It seemed that no one had looted it yet, and they also didn't find any zombies inside the grocery store. They only dealt with some passerby zombies a while ago.

After choosing some snacks he hadn't tried yet, he went back to where Treyton and the others were.

He just leaned on Treyton, reading a comic while Treyton and the others were talking about what they were going to do tomorrow.

Afterwards, all of them had dinner prepared by Nina and the others. In just a day, Luciel could see how their meals deteriorated so much. It still tasted good, but it had less variety of ingredients and also fewer dishes.

"Zam arrange the rotation of people who are going to stand guard tonight.

Everyone can go and look for a place to sleep in this grocery store, but be sure not to stay too far from each other," Treyton said to everyone, then invited him out to sleep inside the car.

When they went to the car, Luciel could see that they had already arranged their sleeping place. They had already arranged the car seats properly and even covered them with a thick duvet. The car seats were completely transformed into their beds.

"Well, at least this is still better than sleeping on the floor with just boxes and blankets," Luciel said.

He already saw the others tearing apart the boxes in the grocery store and laying them on the floor for them to sleep on.

In his last life, he also experienced sleeping with just boxes around. He even experienced sleeping in the bare ground with no covers or anything at all because they only have very little time to rest for a bit before fighting monsters again. Having a comfortable sleeping place doesn't matter at all as long as they can take a rest for a bit.

At least he and Treyton could still sleep inside the car this time, but it was still uncomfortable.

"Treyton, we should look for an RV," Luciel said while laying on the makeshift bed.

"Yes, it is indeed better to have an RV, but it's not good for us right now because it's not durable enough and it is also too big. We can't properly rush out and avoid obstacles easily by using an RV," Treyton said while also laying down and embracing Luciel.

"What an inconvenience," Luceil said.

If they revealed that he actually had a space, then it would be very easy to just bring an RV out. They could also have a freer choice of food and others. However, even if it's inconvenient, he still doesn't want to talk about space because it would be more troublesome for him.

It would still be better for them to find a person with space. It was written in the novel that some people had space superpowers, but there were only very few of them, so it would still be hard to look for such a person.

In the novel, Treyton doesn't have anyone who has space. They only saw a person with space on big bases. When Treyton became the most powerful person in the end, of course there were already people who had space powers by his side.

But in the early days of the apocalypse, there was no one who had space powers in his group. He was the one who was acting as if he had space powers due to his bracelet.

"Let's just go and rest in our space for at least 1 hour here. We would have an additional 6 hours of rest."

"Yes, let's go later on. It's better to rest in our space," Luciel agreed.

It is indeed better to rest in their space; at least they won't be hearing the noise from wandering zombies, and more importantly, they have a comfortable bed in their space. Unfortunately, they can't stay there for a long time because they aren't aware of the changes that were happening in real time if they go and rest in their space.

If they could just be aware of what was happening in real-time, then there would be no problem in staying in their space for a long time.
