Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)

Chapter 307: Luciel in action 6

With Treyton and the others fighting alongside him, Luciel found it much easier to kill the large birds around them.

However, the temporary housing zone seemed to be especially attractive to the birds. Even with everyone working together, it still took a long time to clear out all the large birds in the area.

While fighting, they saw many casualties and injured people, as well as others still running. However, they couldn't help them because they had to continue fighting the birds around them.

All they could do was tell those still nearby to run to other areas with sturdier buildings and seek shelter there. As long as they stayed in the temporary housing zone, more birds would return, and it would be very easy for them to get killed.

Luciel also noticed that the others were unusually quiet. They were all focused solely on fighting and didn't speak at all, likely affected by the scenes of devastation they were witnessing.

Treyton was the only one who had the time to ask about the villa and talked a bit with him while they were fighting, but Nathan and the others weren't talking at all.

If it had been normal, Nathan would have talked to him already when he saw him coming and joined them in cleaning up the birds in the temporary zone.

When they finished temporarily cleaning up all the huge birds in the temporary housing zone, they went to where the base walls were.

After they finished temporarily clearing out the large birds in the temporary housing zone, they started heading toward the base walls.

On the way, only Luciel and Treyton took the lead in fighting off the birds they encountered. The rest of the group used the time to recover and absorb zombie crystals to replenish their energy for the next wave of combat.

When they reached the base walls, they saw another intense battle underway. A large number of birds had gathered, clearly targeting the soldiers manning the artillery—likely because of the damage those weapons were doing to their numbers.

The soldiers were completely absorbed in their tasks, firing and commanding with urgency. When Luciel and the others began helping to clear the skies, the soldiers glanced at them briefly, but they quickly turned back to focus on the fight.

From his vantage point in the air, Luciel also spotted Uncle Wilder among the troops, shouting orders and coordinating the soldiers on the ground.

He also saw George and Vance fighting the birds and helping the other soldiers using their abilities. Both of them were in charge of protecting some soldiers who were operating the artillery so that they wouldn't be attacked by the birds.

While fighting, Luciel also began distancing himself away from Treyton and the others as he had already planned to circle back to their villa.

He kept fighting off birds along the base walls as he moved in the direction of their villa. The number of birds in the area had clearly decreased compared to earlier.

Luciel noticed that he didn't have to fight as often and had to land more frequently on buildings since there were fewer flying birds to use as stepping points.

When he arrived near the villa, he saw Wes and the others fighting only two huge birds and the smaller birds.

He knew that they could deal with those birds, so he didn't help and just let them continue dealing with those birds.

As he watched Wes and the group fighting, Luciel took a moment to scan the area. The sky above was noticeably clearer, with far fewer birds circling or diving down than before.

It seemed that his and the others' efforts in fighting the birds weren't in vain.

The sky was clearer as there were fewer birds in the sky. Seeing that there were already fewer birds in the sky, Luciel decided to stay in the villa and won't continue roaming the base to kill the huge birds.

Even though there are still birds flying around, at least the situation isn't as bad as before. With the number of those birds, the people could surely still run somewhere if they were attacked. They could still successfully run off and wouldn't be surrounded, so they could still survive before rescue arrived.

The remaining birds could surely be dealt with by the military and Treyton and the others who have the ability to fight in the base.

So, seeing that Wes and the others had already dealt with the two large birds outside the villa, Luciel planned to go back inside the villa.

However, before he could even head toward the villa, he looked outside the base and saw another dark mass quickly moving toward them.

The dark mass came from the same direction the birds had come from at the start, so even though Luciel couldn't see it clearly at first, he still knew that the dark mass moving toward the base was another batch of birds.

The dark shape became clear in just a minute, and Luciel could now clearly see that it was indeed another large flock of birds.

When he was sure of what it was, Luciel couldn't help but curse.

"Ah, f*ck! What a sh*tty life!"

Luciel knew that living in an apocalyptic world was really a hassle. From the beginning, when he realized that he was in a world about to fall into chaos—just like the one he had lived in before—Luciel had really wanted to kill whoever had sent him here.

Now, seeing another batch of birds, and this time with a flock that seemed even denser than the last, he was reminded all over again of how sh*tty life was in an apocalyptic world.

Crises never ended easily, and he was reminded once again of his desire to strangle whoever had dumped him into this world.

When people think they can finally survive, another—or even worse—problem will come, as if mocking their efforts to live and dooming them to death.
