The Villain’s Perspective

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: 2 years later

After successfully making Aria stop crying, the two of them were now playing chess with each other peacefully.

"So why did you summon me back here, Your Majesty? Oh, and thank you for your rook!"

"I'll tell you some things you need to know! First, about this forest. I heard you're hunting animals here, right? I think you should try killing those Beast-level monsters." Aria said while using the bishop to take Lucifer's knight.

"Huh? What do you mean? You're telling me to fight those Beast-level monsters?"

"Yes, that's right! You're strong! I, who's been blessed by the gods, can be sure that you're capable of defeating those monsters. So try to raise your Destiny Rank."

"Then is there anything else I need to know, Your Majesty? Oh, and I'm about to checkmate you."

"Next is where you are. To put it simply, you're in Eastern Canada. There's a village about an hour's drive from this house, and from there you can take a train to Toronto."

"Is there anything else, Your Majesty? And you're checkmated, you're defeated."

"Damn it! That's it."

After extracting all the information from Aria, the space began to shake violently, signaling that Lucifer was about to wake up.

Lucifer stood up and stretched. Playing chess for a while had really made him a bit exhausted. Then, he counted the number of times he had won against Aria in chess.

"So I've won 10 games and lost 0!" Lucifer smiled with satisfaction.

"Okay, go away! It's time for me to get back to practicing my ultimate move that has the power to destroy the world." Aria seemed quite annoyed at having lost so much.

"It's fun playing with you, Your Majesty. Let's play again some other days!"

Then, Lucifer returned to reality. The last thing he saw in the white space was Aria giving him a thumbs up, meaning that she agreed with Lucifer's opinion.

Time flew by. In no time, Lucifer had been in this place for about 2 years. During those 2 years, he had never had a day off.

In the morning, Lucifer had to throw corpses into the lake, chop wood, and clean the house for Levy. At noon, he had to train until he was completely exhausted. In the evening, in addition to hunting animals, Lucifer also often hunted Beast-level monsters to gain some Experiences.

Just as Aria said, it seemed that Lucifer could really fight against Beast-level monsters. However, he still had to struggle a bit to defeat a Giant-level monster.

After finishing the hunt, Lucifer had to drink poison and endure the torment from it all night. But thanks to that, he was able to adapt to the level 70 poison after 2 years.

Days like that repeated for 2 years. Now, Lucifer had obtained a less skinny body. He had more flesh but still no muscles. He was also better at killing Beast-level and Giant-level monsters.

In just 2 years, Lucifer had successfully killed 3 Giant-level monsters and 250 Beast-level monsters.

During that time, Lucifer had gotten to know more people in that space covered in pure white. All of them were victims of Levy and had very unique personalities. Talking to them was fun, but the most fun was still Aria.

Now, Lucifer was in his room looking at the poetic scenery of the forest in the morning. It was time for him to prepare to leave this place.

Lucifer felt a little regretful about leaving because he wouldn't be able to meet the friends he had made again. But that's life, meetings will eventually end. Nothing lasts forever. It just ends sooner or later.

'Oh right, it's been a while since I checked my system.'

Name: Lucifer

Destiny: Villain (Unpredictable)

Destiny Rank: Nothing

Ability: [Shadow Movement]

Experience: [293/3000]

Ancient name: [The Poisoned Soul]

Potential: Uncountable

Curse: [Error-level monster transformation: 2 years]

It seemed like he still had to work really hard if he wanted to raise his Destiny Rank and gain another Ability. In addition, Lucifer only had 2 years left until he turned into an Error-level entity.

'Time flies…'

It was only 2 years ago that Lucifer was still a skinny, weak person. Although he was still the same now, at least he had gained some flesh.

Lucifer stood up and walked out of the room. He would carry out the plan that he had spent 2 years preparing. There was no room for failure, Lucifer had to succeed no matter what.

He was very confident in the effort he had put in for 2 years. The plan he had drawn up was perfect, unless something unexpected happened. So Lucifer could only pray that nothing odd would happen.

That night, Lucifer was summoned into the familiar white space again. It seemed that because this was the last time, all the people he had met were there.

They all looked at him with expectant eyes, so Lucifer couldn't let down their expectations. It was thanks to the information Lucifer had gathered while with these people that he was able to come up with that plan.

Lucifer owed them a lot. And he would repay them by giving Levy the most deserving death.

"Looks like today is the last day. How sad." Ryan spoke first.

"Yeah!"

"We all believe in you, brother! Do your best! Hahahaha!" Aether was as lively as ever.

"Yeah!"

"Don't let what I've taught you be in vain. If you fail, don't ever call me an acquaintance again! I, who am blessed by the gods and also the daughter of the strongest demon king, don't know a loser!" Aria said.

"Aria is at it again. Just tell him to do his best." The red-haired boy named Hazuki said.

"Don't worry! I won't lose! Everyone, please believe in me!"

After talking to the others for a while, the white space began to shake violently.

"It's about time…" Everyone said in unison, all of them wearing disappointed faces.

"Thank you everyone for everything! I'm so lucky to have met you all! Well then, bye!"

Lucifer gave a bitter smile as he said goodbye to his friends. Even though he had mentally prepared himself for the parting, it was still more painful than he thought.

After opening his eyes, Lucifer was back in his familiar wooden room.
