The Villain’s Perspective

Lucifer woke up, realizing that his face was a bit dry and tight. That meant that Lucifer had cried last night. Even now, Lucifer still remembered the dream he had.

Today, Lucifer was not in the mood to do anything, he just wanted to rest in his room. But of course Levy wouldn't let him do that.

Lucifer had no choice but to get up and go out to start working. Because he was feeling depressed, Lucifer's working speed had slowed down a lot. That also meant that his working time was extended and he had less time to rest. But he didn't really care about that.

Suddenly, Lucifer recalled the happy times he had spent with his family in the previous world. Now, those times only existed in Lucifer's memories.

Lucifer felt a little choked up.

That night, Lucifer still went into the forest to hunt like every other day. After filling his stomach with a lot of meat, he continued to move to Levy's secret basement. He had been to the basement everyday since he discovered it.

Lucifer entered the room filled with a lot of poisons, now he could drink level 3 poison in just over 3 weeks. If it took Lucifer about 1 week to adapt to a level, then he would need at least more than 1 year to adapt to level 70 poison.

Just like always, Lucifer didn't feel anything after drinking the poison, but he knew that the poison would only take effect when he got home. Lucifer sighed and left the room.

Suddenly, his eyes focused on the last door, the door that he had not had the chance to enter even though he had been to this basement many times. The reason was because this door was always locked, and there was always a light on inside so Lucifer couldn't use Shadow Movement.

But today was different. Lucifer couldn't see the light through the cracks in the door, which meant that there was darkness behind the door, meaning that Lucifer could use Shadow Movement to enter.

Lucifer pondered for a while whether he should go in or not, but in the end, Lucifer gave in to his curiosity.

He immediately used Shadow Movement and entered the last room through the crack in the door below.

This room was completely covered in darkness. It was so dark that Lucifer couldn't see anything.

Lucifer canceled using Shadow Movement and walked around the room to find a light switch. He tried to grope in the darkness. Suddenly, Lucifer touched something soft, but he didn't care much about it. Right now, Lucifer just wanted to find a light switch.

After about 2 minutes of groping, Lucifer finally found the light switch next to the door. Without hesitation, he immediately turned on the light. The dark room became bright immediately, now Lucifer could see clearly what was inside.

Lucifer turned his head, and the sight he saw almost made him scream out loud. In this room were 2 men, 2 women, and 1 child. All 5 of them were hanging by a rope wrapped around their arms.

Their bodies were full of knife wounds. It could be seen that some of their flesh had been cut off. In addition, some parts of their bodies had changed color, perhaps this was the effect of some kind of toxin. And finally, their faces were completely deformed, it was no longer a human face but became something a lot more disgusting.

The 5 people suddenly reacted after they saw Lucifer instead of Levy.

Girl No. 1 groaned:

"Please save us…"

Although Lucifer could hear their cries for help very obviously, he couldn't do anything. If he chose to save them, he would be discovered by Levy, and he would have to run away and say goodbye to the poisons.

He couldn't kill Levy either because Levy always had some ferocious dogs by his side. Just looking at the faces of those dogs was enough to tell that they were as strong as a Giant-level monster. Furthermore, Lucifer didn't know if Levy had any other Abilities.

After a moment of silence, Lucifer reluctantly said:

"Sorry… I can't do that…"

"Then please kill us… Please free us…from this hell…" Man No. 1 begged.

Lucifer lowered his head, not having the courage to look them in the eye:

"I'm sorry… I'm sorry…"

Lucifer could only beg for their forgiveness. Now, he had understood that being a hero was not an easy thing. Lucifer could not risk saving innocent people without caring about the consequences like a hero.

In the end, Lucifer was just a dreamer who dreamed that he could become a hero. It was only a dream, not a reality. Reality and illusion were two completely different things.

Hearing that, the five of them had nothing more to say. They started to sob. Tears rolled down their cheeks, passed through the wounds on their faces, and fell to the ground.

Lucifer gritted his teeth and left the room. He swore that he would need to kill Levy as soon as possible.

That night, Lucifer was summoned to that white area again. This was the fourth time he had come here.

Lucifer looked around and met a girl with short blonde hair. Her right eye was red and her left eye was blue. She was crossing her legs and leaning back in her chair to look as powerful as possible.

"State your name, you scoundrel!" The girl said.

"I am Lucifer."

"How dare you speak to me like that? Speak to me with more respect!"

Lucifer tried not to get angry. He tried to smile as naturally as possible and said in a respectful tone:

"Your Majesty, my name is Lucifer. It is a great honor for me to meet you."

"Very well, I like being called queen! My name is Aria Van Alexander Nightshade. People often call me the one blessed by the gods! The ruler of the moon and the child of the strongest demon king!"

After hearing the long and colorful introduction and seeing the colorful clothes Aria was wearing, Lucifer could already tell that Aria was a Chuunibyou sufferer. It could be understood as a person with delusions of power, thinking they were really strong but actually not.

"You have Chuunibyou?" Lucifer asked in surprise.

Hearing that, Aria's expression darkened. Then a few tears started flowing from her eyes.

"I'm not Chuunibyou! You're so hateful!"

'Did I just bully a child? And why did she suddenly become so cute!?'

After seeing Aria start to cry, Lucifer had to do everything he could to make her feel better.
