The Second Chance of Reincarnator

Chapter 31: Smartest Person in the Room

With his finger just moments away from pulling the trigger, Kael quickly unsummoned the black revolver and got out of the controlled state.

'It looks like I am truly the only one that can control the summoning of the black revolver. While the crimson book and Raheem can take control of my actions, they cannot control my thoughts, and I control the summoning with my thoughts!'

"Please, surrender!"

Raheem ordered.

Kael dropped on one knee, his body trembling as he tried to stand back up, but it felt like he was trying to fight against the gravity.

"The crimson book has some flaws, but they can be easily patched. Like this…"

With the ink pen, he wrote more text on the last page, curved to form elegant-looking handwriting, and then finished with a flourish.

"Poor Kael killed himself with a kitchen knife to the heart because he was unable to deal with his grief!"

Walking like a stiff puppet, Kael stumbled to the kitchen, trying to stop, but his body just kept dragging itself towards the kitchen drawer.

With a trembling hand, he opened the drawer and took out a sharp-edged knife to his neck, grazing the skin.

"Bulletcraft!"

The knife, which he was holding, turned into a small pile of bullets—if a bigger object, more bullets one could craft—and thus, there were close to two dozen bullets lying on the floor in front of him.

"Argh!"

Kael's head felt like it was splitting—he overused his divinity—and there was nothing left in the tank.

However, he didn't have any need for divinity.

He dropped to the ground to lie on his side, pointed the revolver at Raheem, and fired the shot.

Bang!

With a thunderous bang, the bullet flew out of the kitchen and collided with the side of the crimson book.

"The crimson book won't let its master get hurt. Don't you understand? You're never going to win!"

Raheem said with a wicked laugh.

'Two…'

Kael thought to himself, rose to his knee, and pulled the trigger—the bullet, with a trailing smoke, shot out of the barrel—it hit the crimson book again.

At that moment, he saw that Raheem's mouth moved, as if he was about to speak, and he quickly put his black revolver right next to his ear.

With an awkward grip, he pulled the trigger, and the bullet shot out of the barrel, but it went nowhere near Raheem, instead ricocheting off the wall and hitting a nearby vase.

"Argh!"

His ears started ringing and bleeding from the sound of the gun going off right next to his ears.

With a pained cry, he jumped to his feet and charged straight at Raheem.

"Please, stop!"

With the voice of the Negotiator, the command of the Leader echoed throughout the room and reached Kael's ears.

However, this time around, he didn't stop and tackled Raheem, surprising him, and forced him to the ground.

Kael slapped the crimson book off Raheem's hands, and it shut with a loud thud, the pages fluttering in the air.

"The voice of the Negotiator didn't work?"

Raheem said in surprise and then saw Kael's bleeding ears—he realized that he had been had—he found a way to stop Negotiator's powers from working!

Since he found out that he was a Negotiator, Kael had been thinking about the possible weaknesses that class could have.

It took him a moment to find out, but then he realized that he wouldn't be much of a Negotiator if the person wouldn't be able to hear him.

Thus, his negotiation would prove to be useless!

Therefore, he shot the gun intentionally right next to his ears to cause the ringing, and bleeding to clog up the ears to temporarily deafen himself.

"Get off me!" Check for the latest updates on My Virtual Library Empire (M-VL-EMP-YR).

Raheem grabbed him by his shoulders and pushed him off—Kael smashed into the ceiling and then fell to the ground with a loud thud.

With a hurry in his steps, Raheem ran towards the crimson book in a hurry, as if he was addicted to its touch, but then he heard a click behind him.

"?!"

Raheem turned behind him and saw the black revolver's barrel aimed directly at his head.

"Hahaha… You think I haven't been counting the number of bullets you've used? The revolver of the Outlaws only has six shots, and you've used all of them."

Kael smiled, reached his hand to his pocket, and brought out a bullet—he slid it inside the chamber and snapped it shut—then he cocked it and said.

"I can't really hear you because of all this ringing shit, but I am sure you said something about me being out of bullets.

"If you bothered to put your head out of your ass, you might've realized that you aren't always the smartest person in the room.

"Checkmate."

Kael pulled the trigger.

"No—!"

The bullet went through Raheem's forehead—right in the spot between his brows—and he collapsed to the floor.

"Ahh…"

Kael collapsed on the floor, breathing heavily, and let the black revolver disappear into the thin air.

"Why did it have to be Leader? How bothersome…"

He then realized that most likely the entire street had heard the sound of the gunshots by now, and had to get the hell out before he was discovered.

Kael stumbled to his feet, but then he heard the sound of the tumbling and turned around to the book.

It was jumping as if it had a life of its own and tried to get back to the hand of Raheem.

Kael picked up the book—it tried to resist his hold—and tried jumping off.

"Your master is dead, and you need a new master. Will you accept me as your new master?"

The crimson book stopped jumping—it was contemplating—and then it turned docile as if it had just accepted him.

Kael quickly looked around the mess in the house—there was a big mess that showed that Outlaw was involved—because of the gun wound on Raheem's forehead and the number of bullets around.

'I can't possibly clean all this up before someone comes looking. It will be obvious that Outlaw killed him, but like Raheem said, Outlaws are known to do this.

'I don't think there is anything here that can link me here… I need to be worried about the strange abilities of Mystics…'

Kael picked up a rag, just wiped some of his blood off the floor, and then stuffed it into his pocket before heading out of the house.
