Chapter 28: Threatning Tang Wei
Ye Feng scanned the room and found that some things were missing, but it was expected by him.
The room was covered in dust, he checked the drawer but is bank card was also gone , so he was left with no money , he sighed and then headed to the hall everything was same there.
He removed the sofa cover and sat on it , then he started thinking about his future plans.
First thing first , i need to arrange for my school certificates for this time period, he muttered to himself, and who was the best person for this work ,he knew exactly.
He came out of the house through the same route and headed straight to Qingshan high, there he gathered information about location of Director's house. After getting all the information he started waiting for night.
The night was silent, save for the rustling leaves and the distant hum of the city. A lone figure moved like a shadow through the estate grounds, unseen and unheard. Ye Feng had been away for two and a half years, but his skills had not dulled—if anything, they had sharpened.
He scaled the outer wall with practiced ease, his gloved hands finding grip on the rough brick. A single leap, a twist of his body, and he landed soundlessly on the second-floor balcony. A window stood slightly ajar, just as he had anticipated. Tang Wei was careful, but not careful enough.
With a quick glance to ensure no alarms had been triggered, Ye Feng slipped inside. The room was dimly lit by a single desk lamp, casting long shadows across the wooden floor. A large desk stood in the center, cluttered with documents and an open laptop.
He moved swiftly, his fingers gliding over the papers until he found the student records. His own file lay among them, stamped with the word INACTIVE.
His eyes narrowed. Not for long.
Just as he reached for the folder, the door creaked open.
Ye Feng turned in an instant, his dagger slipping from his sleeve into his hand.
Director Tang Wei stood at the threshold, his face frozen in shock. He wasn't a small man, nor was he easily intimidated, but the sight of Ye Feng standing in his office, holding a knife, sent a chill down his spine.
"Y-You…" Tang Wei stammered. "How did you—"
Ye Feng moved before he could finish. In a blink, he was behind the older man, the cold edge of the blade pressing against his throat.
"Close the door," Ye Feng ordered, his voice low and calm.
Tang Wei hesitated, but the pressure of the blade made his decision for him. He reached back and shut the door, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed.
Ye Feng withdrew the knife slightly but didn't step away. "You have something I need."
Tang Wei exhaled slowly, forcing himself to remain calm. "You think threatening me will get you what you want? This isn't the underworld, Ye Feng. There are rules—protocols. You can't just force your way through the education system like this."
Ye Feng's lips curled into a smirk. "Can't I?"
Tang Wei clenched his fists. "You were gone for two and a half years. Do you know how many students pass through this school in that time? Your records have long since been archived. If you want to return, you'll have to repeat the missing years like any other student."
"I don't have time for that," Ye Feng said simply. "I need my passing certificates. I was never absent."
Tang Wei scoffed. "The system doesn't work that way. Every class has attendance records, exam results—there's no way to fabricate two and a half years of school on a whim."
Ye Feng tilted his head slightly, his expression unreadable. "You misunderstand. I'm not asking you to fabricate anything. I'm asking you to correct an oversight. One that benefits both of us."
Tang Wei narrowed his eyes. "And how exactly does this benefit me?"
Ye Feng let out a soft chuckle, stepping away and sheathing his knife in one fluid motion. "For one, you get to keep breathing."
Tang Wei stiffened.
Tang Wei's jaw tightened. "Are you threatening me for my life ,i don't think you will get away with this ?"
"Well i have killed many and easily got away, don't you remember the fire incident 2 and half years ago, see am i not in front of you alive and well"
Tang Wei felt a chill run down his spine , he clearly remembered the incident and now associating it with him, how old was he at that time 15 and he killed so many with so much brutality.
He knew that he was not dealing with a human but a demon who will not even blink before finishing him, sweat started dropping from his head, with all those thoughts forming in his head.
Silence stretched between them.
Tang Wei exhaled sharply, rubbing his temples. "You want your records adjusted. And you want it done quietly."
"Exactly."
Tang Wei sat down heavily in his chair, staring at the young man before him.
There was no point in resisting.
"I'll need five days," Tang Wei said finally. "Forging documents this cleanly isn't easy."
"You have three," Ye Feng replied.
Tang Wei's mouth tightened, but he didn't argue.
Ye Feng picked up his file from the desk, flipping through it casually. "When I return after 3 days , my records will be ready. My grades will reflect passing marks, and my certificates will be signed. We will not have this conversation again."
Tang Wei let out a slow breath. "And after that?"
Ye Feng smirked. "After that, I go to university. And you get to pretend this never happened."
Tang Wei stared at him for a long moment before nodding slowly. "Fine. But if anyone finds out—"
"They won't," Ye Feng said, already making his way toward the window.
Before Tang Wei could say another word, the boy disappeared into the night, vanishing as if he had never been there at all.
And for the first time in his career, Tang Wei realized there were some students he would rather never want to see again.
