The Hero of Hypnosis

Chapter 134: Rolimont Forest

The Rolimont Forest is the largest forest on the continent. It's home to exotic animals and monsters, each of them having their own ecosystem and way of life. Because of how large and dense the forest is, it's mostly unexplored and has a lot of danger lurking in it.

But that's not all. This place is a gold mine for all types of fields. Archaeology, zoology, phytology, magic, alchemy, and more. The only downside of this was that finding new things was hard because of how dangerous the forest is. And even if you successfully find a new species of animal, plant, or some type of new discovery, getting out of the forest is even harder.

This is because the plants release a chemical that weakens mana, and prolonged exposure makes mana stop functioning altogether. The plants, animals, and monsters are the only ones immune to this phenomenon.

"So how in the hell are we going to fight a dragon who's made the Rolimont Forest its home?" Kyana asked as she finished explaining everything to the group.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine. You have my crest on you." Since Kai was immune to all types of poisons, sicknesses, ailments, and so on, this meant that he was immune to the effects of the Forest. And because of his crest, this extended to his girls as well.

"When we enter the forest, we should feel our strength weakening, and if we stay here for a few hours, our mana will be temporarily disabled until we leave the forest. That's what you explained, so, tell me, how do you feel now?" Kai asked as all of them stepped into the forest.

"Huh? I feel fine." Sasha examined her body. She could feel something trying to 'harm' her, but it was being neutralized.

The others felt the same thing.

"How many abilities do you have?" Kyana asked in shock as she looked into Kai's eyes.

"Not enough." He chuckled. Kai had only bought abilities from Low to Arcane from his shop. And even then, he had still never purchased anything that reached 100,000 SP. This meant that he didn't have one divine ability yet.

Currently, he was sitting around 600K points after all of the quests they'd been on and killing a bunch of undead when the Necromancer appeared.

He could spend it, but he didn't know what for. All of the abilities he can currently think of, he has. Sure, there were more powerful versions of some of them, but they weren't needed because of his stats. So, instead, he decided to hold them for now and steadily increase his stats when he needed to.

"Guys, I smell something!" Amaya came to a stop, pulling out her sword as she sniffed the air. The smell of the forest was thick, and she was inhaling new scents, but she could still smell danger no matter where she was.

"Get ready!" Sasha shouted, and everyone took their positions.

Kai was the first one to spot the beast. "Sasha, above us!"

"She angled her shield above her head, a massive projection of it covering the entire Party.

Four powerful hooves slammed into the shield, and a powerful stream of lightning coursed through it. The lightning wasn't enough to harm the shield, but it was enough to throw Sasha off guard, as she didn't expect a horse to be that strong.

"Oh great, a flesh-eating horse. I hate those bastards!" Kai grumbled.

"That...doesn't look like a flesh-eating horse," Gwen muttered as the horse came into the light.

"What do you mean? It has the build, the eyes, the teeth, and...why the fuck does it have eight legs?" Kai rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't going crazy. He assumed the forest pollen was messing with his mind, but when he looked at the horse again, it still had 8 legs.

"Who the fuck created that monstrosity? Loki?" There was only one horse he knew that had 8 legs, and that horse was fiction.

"Look, it has lightning magic! A flesh-eating horse doesn't have lightning magic!"

"Oh great, Thor AND Loki got it on together. Fucking disgusting." Kai grumbled.

"Let's take it down!" Amaya was the first to attack. She was already fast, but her wind magic made her faster. She aimed right for its neck, but the horse didn't even flinch.

Its body crackled with lightning, and in an instant, it vanished from its spot, appearing right behind Amaya with its front legs ready to smash in her skull.

"Not on my watch!" Nadya summoned chains of magic that bound the horse, keeping it standing on its four hind legs.

"HEEEEEEEHAAWWWWWW!" It cried.

"I really hate the animals in this world." Kai took a seat and let his girls handle this creature. He wasn't needed, and he liked seeing them in action. Fighting action. He always saw them in action while they were in bed.

"Nice one, Nadya." Four arrows made their way into the horse's hind legs, and it bellowed in pain.

Gwen used water magic on the horse, having it short itself out. After that, Sasha clobbered it with her hammer, and Amaya landed the finishing blow, slicing off its neck as she originally intended to do.

"I love seeing y'all fight. It's so hot." Kai smiled as he looked at them all with dreamy eyes.

Each of them smiled back, lining up to give him a kiss on the lips. Amaya was stingy, though. She sat on his lap and hogged Kai's mouth, kissing him passionately, and held up the line.

The others had to remove her just to get their turn, and they tried to ban her from Kai's lips. He didn't let that happen, of course.

They continued exploring the forest to find traces of the dragon while warding off any monster or beast that came their way.

Eventually, they spotted smoke in the distance. It was a thick black cloud that rose into the air, and everyone could smell that something was clearly burning.

"You think that's our dragon?" Kyana asked.

Everyone turned to Gwen for an answer.

"W-What? Why are y'all looking at me? Oh, just because I'm a Dragonkin, I'm supposed to know what all dragon sightings are supposed to be like? Fuck off."

"So much for our dragon radar." Sasha joked.

"Bitch!"
