The Hero of Hypnosis

Chapter 135: Explorers

It had been three days since they started to explore the forest, and Amaya was getting extremely bored. It wasn't just her; everyone was getting upset with the annoying forest.

Monster and beast attacks left and right, magical plants randomly started popping up out of nowhere, catching everyone off guard, the bugs were way larger than what they should be, which made Kai super uncomfortable.

It got to a point where he considered burning the entire forest to the ground, but Kyana stopped him from doing so. As an Elf, she loved nature, and although she was annoyed like the rest of them, she didn't want the forest to suffer for it.

Kai wasn't actually going to destroy the forest, but Kyana still wanted to make sure he wouldn't do so.

Because of how annoyed everyone was, Kai placed a barrier around them so they could travel without being attacked. He also scanned the entire forest and saw a huge concentration of mana at the center, and led everyone toward it.

The smoke they had spotted three days ago led to nothing. A small patch of grass was being burned, and they didn't know who or what did it. So, they kept moving.

But over the course of three days, they kept spotting smoke, all going in the same direction as them.

"That's like the tenth time we've spotted that stupid pillar of smoke." Sasha was tired of seeing the smoke cloud at this point. Every time they searched the area, they found nothing.

"Someone is definitely here. They're going toward the center of the forest just like us. They even have us beat by a day's distance as well. Kai, go and check it out." Gwen said.

"Now you want me to check it out? I've been saying that I would for the past few days, but you were like, 'No, we'll run into them anyway.' And look at us, we haven't run into them."

She stared Kai in the eyes, waiting for him to open his mouth again. When he didn't, she opened hers. "This doesn't look like you checking it out."

"Fine." He grumbled, taking off into the air.

He soared through the sky, looking down at the forest to locate whoever was starting those fires. Normally, a person wouldn't be able to gaze through the dense trees, but Kai has x-ray vision, so he could see everything.

'A campsite?' He flew down, landing right in the middle of the campsite, startling the five people there.

"Woah!"

"What the hell?!"

"Fuck, my soup!"

"W-Who the hell are you!?"

Kai looked at everyone present. They wore light clothing, the proper attire for traversing through a forest. All of them had weapons and could use mana.

Judging by how much mana they had, the weakest of them was around tier-3, while the strongest was tier-6. Although they all looked like they could fight, they looked more like explorers than warriors or mages.

"Why are you people here?" Kai wondered, looking at each of them.

"W-We should be asking you that! You just came from the fucking sky!" An old man with a white beard shouted. He held his sword toward Kai's chest, ready to strike when necessary.

"Are you here for the artifact as well?" A younger man asked, pointing a wand at Kai.

"Carl! Shut up!"

"S-Sorry."

Kai sighed and grabbed a piece of paper from his shirt.

"I'm Kai, an adventurer. My team and I are here on a quest to slay a dragon that was found in this forest." He explained.

"O-Oh, you're an adventurer. That's good. I thought you were with Rudolph." The old man sighed.

"The red-nosed reindeer?" Kai asked with a confused look

"W-What? No, he's a person, not an animal. We're looking for something."

"An artifact," Kai said, looking at the man named Carl. 'I really hate that fucking name, man.'

Sighing, the old man sheathed his sword and took a seat. "Yeah, an artifact. More specifically, an heirloom. It's for her." He pointed to a young woman, around Kai's age, who sat on a log with her wand still drawn.

She was beautiful. Long, silky green hair, emerald eyes, and some big ass tits with a fat ass to go with it. She was as beautiful as his women.

Kai almost used his hypnosis to rearrange her guts and get her pregnant. But he calmed himself.

"An heirloom, huh? I'm guessing you all are nobles?" Kai assumed. He snapped his fingers, and all of his girls were teleported to his location. He explained everything that happened before the man answered his question.

"Yes, we're from a noble house. This is Lady Emerald Geminite. We're her guards. We're searching for an heirloom that has been lost to time. You see, around 1,000 years ago, the Geminite family was among the most powerful Noble Families on the continent. Before our house became a thing, our ancestors were from a long lineage of powerful knights and mages.

Eventually, one of their descendants, a powerful magic knight, aided the king of that era, who was also the Hero. Because of this, he was granted the rank of Baron. The king wanted to give him a Duke position, but our ancestor declined.

To make a long story short, our family fought in a civil war 200 years ago, which cost us our strength and our heirloom, which was our trump card. Our family has been on the decline ever since, and if we don't find it, we'll lose our rank as nobles."

"Sounds tough," Kai said while floating upside down. "What's the heirloom?"

"It's a magical staff that doubles as a sword. Before our enemies could steal it, our ancestors traveled into this forest and hid it here." The old man explained.

'Hmmmm. Kai took one look at Emerald and knew he wanted her.'

"Are you entering the Hero Academy?" Kai asked Emerald

"Yes." Her voice was soft but stern and proud. "If we cannot find the heirloom, then I'll graduate from the Hero's Academy and earn back my family's honor."

No one could see it, but Kai had a wide grin on his face. He was looking forward to seeing Emerald at school.

'And to get on her good side, it wouldn't hurt to help her find the heirloom, would it?'

"Alright, we'll help. Since we're traveling in the same direction, we can help you all with your search. I sense a powerful mana signature in the center of the forest, so they could be what you're looking for."

"We appreciate that." Although the old man said that, he could still see that they were cautious.

It didn't matter to Kai, though. In his eyes, he was simply helping out his future baby momma.
