The First Cultivator - Changing Existence

Chapter 900: The Wang Clan Ancestor - 900

"White Palace city? I've never heard of it." The old woman said.

"From what I can tell, it is from ages so ancient I cannot put it into words. It was a time before even Immortals existed." The first human said.

The old woman was shocked. The first human was equally shocked inside. He had never even heard of a time before Immortals existed, yet this inheritance was that ancient.

Thinking about it another way, the first human realized that the inheritance could not be something above his level. After all, he was a Star Immortal, and this was an inheritance from someone not even close to being a False Immortal.

And yet, this was still extremely valuable. He could tell that he could form his own heart into a boulder simply from the inspiration the technique gave.

With how well this technique fit him, the gains would be incredible.

The old woman didn't ask any more questions about the technique. It was something private. Nobody would willingly share information regarding it with someone they didn't trust with their life.

"As I said before, welcome to the Wang clan. You have been invited to become a guest elder. Although you won't truly be a part of the Wang clan, your authority will barely be below that of an elder. First, you must go greet the ancestor. He requires all beings that enter the Wang clan's domain to meet with him. He may test you or simply glance at you. Just be yourself, and as long as you don't have any ill intentions towards the Wang clan, you'll be fine." The old woman said.

The first human nodded, and after receiving directions, headed towards a heavily fogged area within the Wang clan. He couldn't even see as he walked inside.

When he was able to see in front of him again, he was just outside of a courtyard. There was no door, just an arch leading inside. When the first human stepped inside, he saw a young man with long hair sitting in a rocking chair next to a pond. There was a single tree behind him. The young man seemed like an Immortal descended from the heavens. It was as if touching him was a crime punishable by death.

The first human failed to notice tendrils of mist crawling up his leg until the scene in front of him changed.

The sovereigns appeared in front of him.

The first human's instincts took over, and he attacked the Sovereigns in front of him.

The scene shattered like glass.

The young man looked over. "You harbor ill intent towards the Sovereigns."

The first human finally realized what had just happened. A chill went down his spine. If the being in front of him was as he had heard, a traitor to humanity and a servant of the Sovereigns, then this was the end.

But the young man simply looked away after a glance. "Don't bother going against the Sovereigns. You'll just get yourself killed."

The first human was stunned for a moment. "You aren't going to report me?"

The young man laughed before speaking. "Do you think I'm a servant? I joined the Sovereigns simply because it benefitted me the most at the time. If I ever felt that it was no longer worth staying here, I would leave. Although the Sovereigns are indeed the strongest in the Sovereign Tree by a large margin and could crush a combined revolt by all of the beings here, I am the exception. Still, they are stronger than me. Only a fool would go against them."

The young man looked wistfully into the pond. He was as gentle as an Immortal could seem.

"Would you help overthrow the Sovereigns?" The first human asked. He knew he was pushing his luck at this point, but it was an opportunity he wanted to see if he could grasp.

"Of course. If the Sovereigns defeat was inevitable, I would most likely join you in taking them down and join whatever force you create. But good luck. Better beings have tried and failed." The young man said, his expression not changing for a moment and his head not even turning a half a degree.

"I understand your reservations. When the time comes, I hope you can be the piece of hay that breaks the camel's back." The first human said.

The young man flicked his finger and the first human disappeared into the fog.

When he could see again, he was back where he had entered.

The old woman was waiting there for him.

"Now that you've met the ancestor, allow me to introduce you to the Wang clan."

Over the next period of time, the first human integrated into the Wang clan. Although they were a clan of human traitors, there were a surprising number of people that openly opposed their ancestor's actions.

Yet no punishment ever came. It was something the first human had never seen before.

Usually, insulting the highest authority of a clan or sect would result in death. Yet there was no reaction at all. Thinking back to the ethereal young man in the chair, however, the first human could not act too surprised.

Sage Years passed peacefully.

The first monster and the first beast stood under a cliff, hidden from the sky. Both of them had entered the Celestial Immortal realm. They were near the home of one of the weakest Beast lords, a Celestial Immortal.

"Are you ready?" The first monster asked.

"Of course. We could do this alone. With both of us together, there isn't the slightest chance of failure."

The two hid within the shadow as they made their way to a camp.

The camp was big enough to fit thousands of beings, but a single giant ox slept on the ground. Although it looked like an ox, its slender features also resembled a panther.

It was some sort of mix between the two, increased in size by more than a thousand times.

As it slept, the first monster instantly appeared on its back and the first beast appeared below its head.
