Chapter 408: Start Early (6k Big Chapter!) _4
A hazy figure could no longer maintain a graceful appearance and started screaming in shock at the sight of the unharmed Colin!
"Perhaps it's because of the will…" Colin thought to himself.
He had indeed felt a drill-like powerful attack coming, which pierced through his steel temperature resistance field and fighting aura armor as if they were a thin layer of paper.
However, Knight Will was different. Though slightly weaker than the soul attack in quality, it succeeded in blocking it by sheer quantity.
Though Colin thought this, he had no interest in sharing it with the Wizard before him.
He simply continued to punch.
The Third Rank Wizard Xize's face turned cold, and without any unnecessary words, he focused and launched another soul attack at Colin!
The latter's advancing figure paused momentarily but quickly resumed and continued his assault!
The soul attack truly had no effect… A hint of gloom flashed in Xize's eyes, and if one looked closely, behind that gloom was a trace of panic.
He had thought that coming directly in a soul form would suffice, even if he encountered a Third Rank Wizard.
But now, the situation was turning dire.
To quickly eliminate the elemental life summoned by Colin, he had opted not to use witchcraft but chose the fastest though most energy-consuming method—soul attack.
According to the plan, about seventy percent of soul energy consumption should have been enough to annihilate the elemental lives and the second rank wizard before him.
Yet, having already consumed seventy percent, Colin was still energetically standing?!
As Xize pondered, the two clashed a few more times.
Colin discovered that Will Power was particularly effective against what seemed to be the spiritual form of Xize, inflicting significant damage with each attack.
The latter realized this too, feeling the panic rise within as only half of his soul energy was left.
This amount of energy, if spent a few more times on witchcraft, likely risked collapse.
"Damn!" Xize hesitated no more and recalled the twenty percent of soul power avatars previously sent to intercept the fleeing wizards.
...
In the distant forest.
"Ah!" Jennifer hurriedly ducked behind a tree, but sensing the close breath behind her, she knew that this time she might not escape.
However, the next moment, the figure chasing her suddenly dissipated.
The same scenario occurred with the remaining surviving wizards of the Roon Family.
Relieved from near death, they looked bewildered, unaware of what had happened.
...
The intangible soul force, like swallows returning to their nest, completely re-entered Xize's body.
He dodged another heavy punch from Colin and quickly boosted himself with composite enhancement witchcraft.
A finely crafted luxurious red wizard robe appeared on him.
Then, a crimson barrier materialized in front of Xize, blocking Colin's following direct punch.
Bang!
Feeling the punch hit the crimson barrier, Xize couldn't help but twitch the corner of his eye.
This seemingly ordinary punch had already touched the threshold of Third Rank power.
This monster from the Roon Kingdom, where in the world did he come from?!
Bang!
Bang bang bang!
Several more punches followed, and the crimson barrier shattered like glass.
Xize looked dreadful, knowing that in his current soul state, he could at best evenly match the monstrous wizard before him.
He wasn't worried about dying but was concerned about the grand plan.
Xize's gaze flickered decisively.
"No choice, the operation has to start ahead of schedule!"
He glared at Colin with extreme disdain and coldly said, "You can't stop anything!"
Fortunately, the operation was planned to start these days, and preparations were nearly done. Those escaping insects were of little consequence, as long as he could hold up this wizard before him, everything else could proceed smoothly!
"What are you trying to stop?" Colin asked while continuing to punch.
However, this time, the usually talkative wizard before him unusually fell silent, just entangling with him.
A sense of unease subtly emerged in Colin's mind, prompting him to quicken his attacking pace.
