Chapter 4: Many Ideas!
"Ah! Whoo!" A human chest heaved up and down as it's owner sprinted throughout the forest. He snaked around trees, leapt over stumps and bushes, and used his hands to navigate the scenery.
"Exhilarating" He exclaimed, sweat covering his pores as his muscles tensed.
Pain was filling his legs as even his lungs began to struggle.
Then!
"Ack!-" He tripped up on a log, falling face first into the ground as he slid through the twigs, stones, and the ever present, grass.
With a chuckle, he lifted his head up, sticks piercing his face as blood streaked down.
"Fuck yeah! That hurts!" He laughed. The man actually couldn't contain his laughter, matter of fact!
He rolled around on the ground, holding his stomach.
"Is this what pain feels like? It's so beautiful! I-I have never taken up such a lowly form before! This is... Haha!"
The entity from before continued to laugh, his joy spreading out throughout the forest as he continued to have the time of his life.
Slowly, he utilized the latent and abundant magicules encased within his soul, forcing his "human" functions into overdrive as he healed at a pace noticeable to even the lowly human eye.
It was an interesting sight for sure!
"Oos!" He pushed, launching himself up to his feet, taking up a strong stance.
"Haha!" He chuckled, thrusting his fists forward into the air before him.
"Hmph, hmph! Oos-oos!" He smiled, making strenuous noises as he punched the area out in front.
"This is how they act in those lost futures right?" He said.
"Haha! According to my calculations!... How funny!" He mocked, reeling in his fists as he motioned with finger as if he was pushing something up on the bridge of his nose.
"Such strange and wild people. Such a varying populous! Weird ideas! Large minds! Maybe I should... Oh that would be so much fun!"
He had recalled the far gone future, remembering how this estranged species was able to rise to a semi-powerful status in their universe. Funniest of all, he had actually imparted some of the strange fantasies of these creatures into the formation of existence in this do over.
Even funnier was the fact that he had randomly appeared on these creatures originating planet this time around as well!
"Ooh, is this the Code of Fate doing it's job? Aha! That's... Beautiful! I love myself! To create such a magnificent Code... I guess I really will do it!... It seems I will be returning to the Zero Point after this small adventure!" He spoke.
Of course, the 'Zero Point' was the originating point in time directly before he had created everything.
He now had new grand ideas!
...
...
...
Night had long fallen in this corner of the world, the lights of a shining village having dimmed peacefully.
The undeveloped human people of this small civilization were soundly asleep, those with the duty of night guard patrolling the outskirts of their home.
Their job was more fit to fend of from beasts and alert the entire tribe of any attack.
That was clear.
They hadn't noticed the whimsical and estranged creature slip past their gazes, infiltrating this settlement with ease.
Said creature currently sat within the branches of a large tree in the center of the village, hiding amongst the leaves.
He leaned against the main stem, sitting atop a high placed branch.
His eyes were rather alert, beyond what they should have been.
In fact, his eyes were strained! They did not seem fit for the darkness, and trying to stay aware with the meager senses provided to him by this body...
It was draining on his eye sight!
"The other one was far better in this aspect..." He mumbled disgruntledly.
He had spent multiple days in this land while retaining his original physical form, there being a stark contrast to the two bodies.
'But... Perhaps physical exhaustion is interesting!" He laughed quietly. Slowly, his heavy eyes closed, letting his small human brain fall into a state privy to only those on the extreme ends of the hierarchy.
The most powerful of the powerful did not require sleep but were easily able to induce it upon themselves.
While the weakest of the weak had no choice but to rest their existences after a point.
This existence here was surprisingly within both ends at the same time!
So why not indulge in sleep for some moments?...
...
...
...
"BEAST TIDE!" Human roars awoke the slumbering tree dweller, making his eyes shoot open. Blaring sunlight pierced into his eyes through the tree leaves, causing a hand to rise and block out the bright rays.
"Hmm... Refreshing!" He muttered, turning over on the branch.
His stomach laid on the elongated stick, his arms hanging below as his head hung over the edge.
He looked below, glancing throughout the village as his eyes navigated around the leaves blocking his clear view.
He could see many of these slightly hunched and hairy people running about.
They were a contrast to his more perfected self. He had taken up the form of a base evolved human. The variant that was not perfect, but far beyond these primitive variants.
He looked like the average person! But even that was vastly different to those below.
"Beast tide!" He exclaimed, recalling the words of the guards, even hearing the people below him screaming about it currently.
Slowly, he slinked off of the branch, his hand gripping tightly as he hung from the bottom rungs of the huge plant.
His eyes squinted, maximizing their ability as he watched countless women and children run collectively to one side of the settlement.
He spun around slowly, his momentum carrying him. His eyes then landed upon the opposing end of the village, where countless men stood armed.
Beyond them, he could see countless animals. tigers, monkeys, even massive avians.
As he hung, he watched intently as these human men clashed with this creature. Some were slaughtered instantly, unable to face the strength of a tiger, while others used the distraction of their fallen brethren to deal deathly blows to the murderous beasts.
Slowly, a luster shone in the eyes of the hanging man. He ignored the shocked voices of the women and children that passed by him, not even being phased by one of the women accidentally running into his foot and finding herself sliding face first into the ground.
The luster grew larger and larger as he observed the battle before him.
This feeling was far different from any of the observed conflicts he had seen before.
While watching this fight, he did not know the outcome! He was not accessing his infinite senses, only using his very own eyeballs.
And to these eyeballs? This shit was beautiful!
He watched as human blood spilled everywhere, heads rolling to the ground, intestines flying through the sky.
Bird wings were ripped apart, and eyes were pecked out.
Small primates were swung into the ground, humans roaring in their rage as they tried to protect their loved ones.
This small beast tide consisted of dozens of manageable foes, minus the two tigers amongst the assault.
The large reserves of humans dwindled, as did the beast members.
The fight was slowly but surely coming to a close, 5 men closing in on the one remaining tiger.
Each of these men were battered, but so was the tiger!
He watched intently as the men swung their weapons tactically, stabbing, slashing, throwing!
He was entranced!
With a roar of defeat, the tiger succumbed to its injuries, tumbling to the ground as it slowly huffed towards its death.
The five, now three men, tumbled to the floor as well, watching as life left their opponents eyes.
"We're doomed..." One of the men breathed haggardly.
"D-Dad!" A voice shouted, a small boy sprinting beneath the hanging man as the eyes of the haggard warrior were drawn.
In response, the tree dweller quickly pulled himself upwards, not wanting to disrupt the people too much.
"Son." The warrior sighed, a look of happiness sprouting.
The entity in the tree tilted his head, the ecstatic smile on his face calming.
"This is entertaining... Humans are interesting! I think... Ha! More ideas! Too many!"
With those words, the smiling human warped away, disappearing from the large tree, escaping this entire timeline as a whole.
Unfortunately, this time would become a forgotten past. Perhaps a forgotten future depending how you looked at it.
