Chapter 154:The Kennin Battery Stock rises_1
"Oh? A tough but to crack?" A smirk formed on Buck Moss lips.
He continued, "Hmph! That's interesting, go on."
"This new boss's name is Bright John apparently. That guy…" Loga vividly recounted the day's events to Buck from start to finish.
Buck sneered and remarked, "Hmph! That's quite interesting. Seems like this lad has some kind of background."
Upon saying this, there was slight gloominess concealed in his gaze.
Then, with a devious smirk, he added, "What does his background matter, though? I'm guessing he's going to reopen the business tomorrow. If that's the case, bring some men with you and go give him an opening gift, Loga."
Upon hearing that, Loga appeared hesitant.
"Shouldn't we investigate his background first, Buck?" He suggested.
Buck merely scoffed in response.
"Check his background? Is that necessary? Don't forget the power of my family! I know all the rich kids in Cartmel, but I have never heard of anyone with the surname John. This guy probably just popped up from nowhere, he's just some rich guy with a bit of money!"
Listening to Buck's words, Loga didn't hesitate much and only nodded.
He had a pretty clear understanding of his boss's identity.
Buck was the illegitimate son of the third child of the Robinson family in Cartmel.
Because he was an illegitimate child, he took his mother's surname.
He had the courage to offer such high interest loans brazenly because of the Robinson family's influence in Cartmel.
At the thought of that, Loga was reminded of the pressuring aura around Bright that day, and how Loga had ran away with his tail tucked between his legs.
Suddenly, a feeling of annoyance grew in his heart.
"Hmph! Just you wait!" He scoffed coldly to himself.
After finishing a cigarette, Loga left the CEO's office.
...….
Bright had no idea what was going on between Loga and Buck.
At that moment, he was having a passionate moment with Gracie.
After they were done, Bright was silent, freeing himself of all emotion.
And just like that, they had three rounds that afternoon.
Only then did Bright sober up from drinking and returned to the restaurant. He got into the car and went home.
....
In a blink of an eye, the night was over.
At half past eight the next morning, Niamh's stockbroker, Jason, arrived at no. 2 villa in Bahamas View.
Beside him was his assistant.
The night before, he had followed Niamh's instructions and bought a portion of Kennin Battery's shares.
However, over the course of two nights, Kennin Battery's stocks experienced a significant plummet.
It resulted in Niamh's account losing over two hundred thousand dollars in a single day.
At that moment, Jason had a bitter smile on his face.
Looking at Niamh, he said, "As you can see, Miss Robinson, this stock is useless. On top of that, a few of Kennin Battery's shareholders sold their shares at a low price yesterday.
The shares they sold make up 25 percent of the company's total shares, so I suggest you cut your losses and sell your shares as soon as possible. Even the company's current shareholders aren't feeling optimistic about it."
Upon hearing that, Niamh casually replied, "Enough! You can stop trying to persuade me, my friend recommended this stock to me, and I trust him."
After she said that, Jason's expression turned ashen.
He was cursing under his breath.
What kind of friend would recommend Kennin Battery's stock? And why would Niamh believe such nonsense? Had she hit her head? Did she really believe that the stock's value would rise?
As he cursed internally, Jason had a grim look on his face.
In the end, he could only sigh and reply, "Fine, then! Let's just see how things go. You should be mentally prepared though, Miss Robinson! Once the market updates, the stock is definitely going to experience a downward trend.
Also, I would like to tell you that I'm not going to be responsible for this stock anymore, Miss Robinson."
"Okay." Niamh nodded.
As soon as she said that, a wave of screams suddenly erupted.
"Oh my god!"
Jason knit his brows and asked, "What happened?"
"Jason, it's rising! Kennin Battery is rising!"
As soon as he said that, Jason was stunned.
He was in a state of complete chaos.
What the heck? That garbage stock was rising? Was it a joke?
Then, Jason hastily grabbed the tablet.
Looking at the screen, he saw the candlestick chart skyrocketing at nearly a 90 degree angle.
Jason was utterly dumbfounded.
What was going on?
"What's happening? This… This is impossible!"
Jason's expression was one of utter conflict.
After all, Kennin Battery was a stock that was about to go under.
But at this moment…
How could it have suddenly come back to life?
Jason was incredibly confused and couldn't understand what was happening.
"Hey! Jason, look!"
At that moment, the young assistant next to him handed him his phone.
Right then, there was news being broadcasted.
It was a live press conference at Kennin Battery.
The striking headline read: "The all new blade battery has been successfully developed and was also successfully deployed in new energy vehicles."
Looking at the news, Jason was dumbfounded.
"It's… making a comeback…"
There was a look of sudden realization on his face.
When he thought about how he had just urged Niamh to sell of all of her shares, he felt a wave of fear, then awkwardness.
After all, he had just confidently declared that it was garbage stock.
However, in just a second, the tables had turned completely.
He had just shot himself in the foot.
Garbage stock?
Clearly, it was full of potential.
At that moment, Jason felt nothing but embarrassment. He felt as if his face was burning hot.
He was too ashamed to stay any longer and quickly excused himself.
Niamh watched Jason slink away.
She softly scoffed to herself.
With a snort, she said, "Hmph! I would like to see if he dares to brag again."
As she thought of that, Niamh seemed to be quite cheerful.
She was on her way toward Bright's house.
After all, with such rapid growth in the stock market, she could potentially make a huge profit.
When the time came, she could make a fortune off this stock, not to mention making up for the rest of the money she needed for her task.
Because of that, she planned to personally thank Bright.
