Chapter 155:The rise in Kennin Battery’s stock _2
Inside villa no. One, Elaine was shocked to see that the stock's value had surged by four percent in mere moments.
After all, Bright had told her before he left the day before that she had to buy all the stocks if anyone sold them.
She had to buy if the shareholders were selling even though it was Kennin Battery.
Following his orders, Elaine had accumulated over 27 percent of Kennin Battery's total shares the day before.
With that, they had made tens of millions in return in only a short while.
At that moment, Elaine swallowed nervously.
When she thought about how confident Bright had been the day before, an inevitable suspicion surfaced in her mind.
Could it be that Bright knew something beforehand?
But if he did, there was no way he would dare to make such large scale investments in such a public manner.
"Mr. John." Elaine looked at Bright incredulously.
Just as she was about to say something, the Villa's doorbell suddenly rang.
"Go answer the door first." Bright calmly said.
"Yes." Elaine nodded.
Then, she headed to the door of the villa and opened it.
"Is Bright home, Elaine?"
"He is, Miss Robinson."
With that, Elaine turned to Bright and announced, "Miss Robinson is here, Mr. John."
"Let her in, Elaine. Would you mind making us a pot of tea?"
Elaine nodded and led Niamh into the villa.
Elaine then turned around, went into the kitchen, and started brewing the tea.
Meanwhile, Niamh's face was filled with excitement.
She approached Bright with a look of joy on her face and exclaimed, "Bright! That stock you recommended actually rose!"
Niamh looked elated. "You know, my stockbroker didn't believe in the stock's potential at first, he kept urging me to sell it, but after its value soared today, his face turned ashen! In the end, he ran off looking all gloomy. I laughed so hard!"
Hearing that, Bright only gave a slight smile. "Really? If that's the case, then you should listen to me, when I tell you to sell, you have to sell."
"Okay, got it!" Niamh nodded vigorously.
Then, she looked at Bright and muttered, "Bright, you have done me such a huge favor, how do you think… I should thank you?"
Niamh stared at Bright while she spoke.
"Um…"
Hearing Niamh's words, there was a hint of awkwardness on Bright's face.
However, before he could say anything, Niamh was already moving closer.
Her lips quickly melded with Bright's and she straddled his legs.
Bright, on the other hand, leaned back against the sofa.
Right then, he seemed a bit stunned.
It all happened so suddenly that his mind didn't have the time to catch up.
After all, their current position was rather intense.
At that moment, Elaine had just brewed some tea and came out of the kitchen.
"Mr. John, Miss-"
She didn't get to finish her sentence before she witnessed the scene im front of her.
Elaine was instantly stunned. The next moment, she quickly turned away.
Niamh was flustered as well and quickly got off Bright. Her face was beet red at that point.
Elaine coughed lightly.
Then, in a seemingly nonchalant manner, she walked up to the two and served them each a cup of tea.
After that, she turned and left.
Right then, heh atmosphere seemed a little stiff.
"Um… just now…"
Niamh was stammering and about to say something, when Bright suddenly approached her.
Instantly, the air in the room felt sweet.
After about three minutes, they both separated.
Niamh was gasping heavily. Her complexion had become somewhat flushed.
"Idiot…" She lightly punched Bright's shoulder.
Niamh's cheeks were rosy.
Bright, on the other hand, just responded with an easy grin. The corners of his mouth lifted up in amusement.
However, right then, his phone suddenly rang.
It was a call from Louis.
"Boss! Bad news! The gang from yesterday is back!"
As soon as he answered, Louis's voice came rushing into his ears.
Upon hearing that, Bright's expression froze over.
The call ended.
Bright's expression was positively stormy.
"What's wrong, Bright?" Niamh asked from beside him.
"Something happened to Devie's Restaurant, which is under my name."
As he spoke, Bright explained the entire situation from beginning to end.
When Bright was done telling the story, Niamh looked visibly upset as well.
She exclaimed, "That's outrageous! I can't believe people like that still exist."
Niamh was gritting her teeth in anger. She was full of rage toward the situation that Bright was in.
"I will go with you!" As she spoke, Niamh got up and left.
Meanwhile, Bright called for Elaine and told her to drive.
The three of them sped toward Devie's Restaurant together.
During the journey, Bright glanced at his phone.
After opening the 'Trillion Subsidies' app. There was only one item on screen.
It read:
(100 percent of Black Water Security Company's shares: $8.8)
Upon seeing that, Bright immediately laughed.
Without hesitation, he bought it.
The pop-up read:
(Purchase successful! Your product is in transit. Estimated delivery time: 15 minutes. Please wait for your product to arrive.)
After Elaine drove to Devie's Restaurant, Bright told Niamh to stay in the car.
He got out of the car and walked toward the door of the restaurant.
Louis had been waiting at the door.
Upon seeing Bright arrive, he promptly greeted, "You are here, Boss."
"Yes! Are the people inside?" Bright asked.
"Yes, they are inside! Ever since they got here, they've been hogging the tables. They ordered a bunch of side dishes, got some beer, and have just been lingering around, refusing to leave.
There are more than twenty of them sitting in small groups, they've taken up half of the seats in the restaurant." Louis explained.
Upon hearing that, Bright's expression turned slightly colder.
Those hooligans were obviously there to cause trouble on purpose.
Bright sneered to himself.
"Really? Are they the only ones left in the dining area now?" Bright questioned.
"Yes, the other customers left as soon as they saw the gang entering the restaurant." Louis spoke through gritted teeth.
The look in Bright's eyes became even icier.
"I see."
Bright walked into the dinning area.
