Chapter 19: Chapter 19: The Monster (2)
(Jaydon's PoV)
"Here we are", Vos spoke as the shuttle made a landing.
Once the ship landed, all four of us disembarked, and I saw two Wookies standing nearby. From their posture, I think they were waiting for us.
I was right.
The Wookies approached us, and one of them started to speak with Vos.
I couldn't understand a word they spoke, though I could feel their frustration through the Force. Something has happened, and the Wookies are not happy about that.
To understand that, one doesn't need to know their language, but it would have been good to know their language to understand them better.
If I want the Wookies to trust me, I need to learn their language first.
To any race, learning their language and customs would be seen as respect shown towards their race and culture.
So, as a basic way to get Wookies on my side, first was to learn their language, especially because they can't speak Galactic Basic. If they could, I wouldn't have to bother with learning their language.
There are too many races in the galaxy. I can't just learn every language there is in the galaxy. That would take a long time, which I don't have time or energy to do.
So, learning languages of ones who can't speak Galactic Basic would be more than enough. Even then, there should be a lot of them.
For future purposes, I don't think I need to know or learn the languages of every race there is, only the important ones do. For unknown languages, protocol droids would do. Instead of burdening my mind with everything, I can use the resources available to me to reduce work stress.
It would be the best way.

"Uuuurrr uuhrr aarrghh", the wookie greeted Vos in their language, but Vos understood them.
"It's good to see you too, Chief Bowder", Vos spoke, which the Wookie understood as well.
Then the wookie pointed towards us, my master and I, and made some more sounds.
"Yes, these are my fellow Jedi, and yes, they could be the solution to our problem if we had interpreted the Force Vision correctly", Vos said.
The wookie made some sounds and gestures.
Vos turned towards us and said, "The monster was spotted a few minutes ago in the forest, and some scouts are currently tracking it. If we don't want to miss the monster, we need to move".
"Okay", my master spoke, and I nodded as well.
The Wookies provided us with the two anti-gravity bikes for us to travel. Vos and Secura took one bike, while my master and I took another and followed the Wookie warriors, who had their own bikes to travel.
Soon, we arrived at the place where the Wookie Scouts were entrenched. It was so high in the trees, and we had to stop our bikes and climb the tall trees.
It was not easy, as there were no settlements here. If there were any settlements, then there would have been stairs or something that could have helped us to use for the climb.
Vos and my master had no problem. They used Force Jump to climb the trees easily. Even Secura did well. Training with Vos for a time should have helped her learn how to survive in such places.
Too bad such survival power didn't help her when her clone battalion betrayed her. They riddled her body with wounds from their rifles.
I, on the other who never had done anything wild like that, had trouble with the climbing. I can't use Force Jump as the time I had on Coruscant with my master was used to train lightsaber arts or for Force Heal, which took most of the time.
Luckily, the Wookies grabbed me and climved the tree.
"Thank you", I said as we reached the top point from which the wookie scouts were observing the monster.
They said that the monster got tired and was sleeping.
For weeks it has been on a rampage but they had only seen it rest only twice before and this was the third time.
It was one of the reason why Vos felt that something was wrong.
If it was hungry, it would have caught wookies and took back to its place of residence, but it never did. Sure some died and injured but it never took any captives.
With how it was acting, Vos felt that this was caused by someone.
It was why, Vos hoped that the Force Visions would help in dealing with this issue and catch whoever was the cause of this issue.
Only dealing with this monster would not stop the issue. It would be a temporary stop for the issue, which would reoccur in the future.
---
"Hmm, it was sleeping for now, but once it moves, it would be havoc. I feel that there is something else is the reason, not the monster itself", Vos voiced out his doubts once again.
"From what you said that happened, I feel the same, but until we know more, we can't do anything for now", my master lamented at our helplessness.
While they were trying to think about a solution, Secura appeared near me and asked, "Do yoyu want to see the monster?"
I nodded. Who wouldn't want to see it, when there was no danger?
She handed me her binoculors to me. It was like the modern binoculars from earth, except that they are much more advanced. They can scan the area and one would be able to see almost everything, even if that object was so small.
The monster was not so small, so I found the monster as soon as I used the device. It was the first time I saw the monster. Vos nor my master had provided what it looks like, just that it was powerful and impervious to blasters and even lightsaber attacks.
The monster was ten meters in length. Its body was covered with brown scales, which should be the reason why the blasters and even the lightsaber didn't work.
It almost looked like a large serpent, but with a few changes.
It has two horns on its head, and from what I learned, its eyes were red like rubies.
If it were a fantasy magic world, one would classify it as a lesser species of a dragon.
When I looked at the monster, I felt something in the Force. Though I couldn't determine what the sensation was, I am sure that it would be helpful for the mission and find out why the monster was causing all this ruckus.
