Star Wars: The Rise of New Order

(Jayden's PoV)

Hmm, what species is that?

It looks like a serpent that was trying to evolve into a dragon.

"Master Vos, what type of creature is it?" I asked.

I have read about a few species of beasts that exist in this galaxy, but I have never read about something like this. Probably a rare and almost extinct species. With who knows how many wars that have happened since the republic was established and even before, records might have been lost about it.

"I don't know", Vos replied, "I even checked the Galactic Net, and asked a friend to check the Jedi Archives in person, but no use. There was no record of such a creature ever existing in the galaxy".

"Hmm, possibly a very rare underground creature. A lot of data was lost during the wars, possibly containing the data of this monster", my master said.

Secura and I nodded our heads, agreeing with those theories.

The Republic has existed for 25,000 years, and even before that, there was the precursor to the Jedi Order. One or another should have recorded such a creature, but no one did. So, there is a high chance that the data regarding the creature was lost.

"Okay, since it was sleeping, let's move closer and see if there are any weak points that we can use", Vos spoke.

"But master, I don't think the force vision showed me....", Aayla was cut off by Vos, "It doesn't matter if any delay causes any deaths".

Hearing those words, Aayla turned silent. I feel that the Force might have shown them they could die, or it won't die, or we shouldn't kill the monster, but what Vos said is right.

If we don't stop this monster now, deaths could follow.

"Come", Vos led us slowly towards the sleeping monster.

After we came to a certain distance, we crouched hiding behind trees and bushes, making sure that the monster didn't spot us.

As we neared the monster, I felt a strong pull towards the creature. There is something wrong. It was not acting because it wanted to, but it had to.

If I can find out what was bothering it, maybe we can resolve the issue without any more bloodshed. So, I did something others didn't think.

I moved closer to the monster.

"Jayden, what are you doing? Pull back", my master ordered me in a terrified voice.

The monster woke up to her voice, "Thanks master for that", I thought, but when I turned to my master, I said a smile, "Trust me master".

Whether she trusted me or not, I didn't have any luxury to waste anymore time. 

The monster turned towards me, and hissed in anger. It was then I saw those ruby eyes for the first time. It was as they said, the monster's eyes were red like rubies.

I didn't falter.

From what I learned on Earth, animals smell fear. So, one shouldn't show fear to them or they think you are an easy prey, but at the same time you shouldn't show hostility.

I slowly walked towards the monster, showing no hostility and also no fear.

I stopped a few meters away from it and extended my hand, with my eyes closed.

Things are not what one sees. So, I need to shut my vision and see through force. It is the best way to know what was actually happening. It is the best way that the monster can understand my intensions.

On Earth such thing would be ridiculous but here, almost anything can be possible through the use of Force, as long as one knows how to use it.

A few seconds later I felt a sensation and then I saw something.

What are those?

Wait, are those the monster's memories?

An egg...those damned poachers.

So, some poachers stole her egg and the reason why it went on a rampage.

I opened my eyes and saw that the serpent's head touching my hand.

I spoke to her, "I am sorry for your loss, but these people are not the ones that wronged you. If you act like this, then not only you can't find your child nor the ones who took away your child but also cause others to hunt you down".

"If your child was ever rescued, what can it gain from a dead mother?"

The monster hissed but did nothing.

"What are you saying Jayden?" my master asked me in surprise.

Vos smiled, "It looks like your padawan is very interesting. I believe he read the monster's mind. Such talent", he wondered out loudly.

"Read mind, what do you mean master?" Secura asked Vos.

"Haha, there are force skills to read minds of others. Though learning such skills was restricted and only someone recognised by the council can even learn skills like that, but young Jayden here seems to have a natural talent and he also seems to easily make connection with monsters".

"He used that connection to see what exactly happened to make the monster go on a rampage", Vos explained before turning to me, "So, what did you see? You said something about a child".

"Poachers Master Vos. Her egg was taken by some damn poachers. If it was a being that can lay eggs quickly, it could have stopped after searching for a while. It can only lay an egg once in a century and not every time there would be a successful childbirth from the egg, but she says, this egg was different and was sure that a child would be born", I explained to them.

"Damn poachers", Vos cursed, then he spoke to me, "Can you see if we can get some time to find what happened and maybe rescue her child?"

I nodded and conveyed that to the serepent. I can feel that she doesn't trust us enough to depend on us to find her child, but it agreed for now, which I relayed to the masters, who went on to speak with hthe Wookies.

I wonder what the Wookies would decide. After all, the serpent has destroyed a lot, but that's for later.

When I connected with the serpent, I felt something. I need to check my status to see if whatever I felt was on that.
