Chapter 12: The House Wrecker And His First Soul Link
"Taru, stop it!!!" Amelia grumbled, her scream echoing across the hall as Taurus skipped across the house.
He jumped from one couch to another across the main hall, wreaking havoc all around him as his sister tried to catch him.
Three months passed and it was nearing the last day of her summer break.
Thus, took his chance, making sure it would be a memorial day for her and a sort of unintended reveal to his parents.
"Play taaatch!" He stopped, reacting to her grumble by jumping repeatedly in his place in excitement as the floor beneath him crumbled due to his strength.
"No, bad boy!" Amelia regretted her actions, noting her idea to play wasn't a good one as it backfired unexpectedly.
It happened too fast and it began with him attempting to catch her and as a result, she was caught under a minute as he shot across the hall like a rocket.
She noticed how unusual it and before she could quit playing, he distanced himself away from her and began jumping everywhere.
She didn't know about his awakening incident and as a result, the shock struck her when he ran with a speed far surpassing hers.
"Nooo, plaaaaaay!" He continued his action, throwing a tantrum alongside his relentless jumping.
"I will get you some chocolate if you stop now!" Having run out of ideas, Amelia came up with something he didn't expect.
"Yeeeey!" His expression changed and his happiness bloomed as the approaching footsteps entered his ears.
Amelia breathed a sigh of relief, the sweat coming from running after him bathed her light blue blouse and wide pants.
She collapsed on the cracked floor below her, her vision falling on the maids cowering at the corners not far across the hall.
"Fuck," She muttered, knowing she was in deep trouble since the damages were nothing simple.
"Tister?!" Taurus muttered, feeling the footsteps closing in from the courtyard.
He stepped forward before nudging her with five fractions of his strength, sending her flying across the hall before hitting one of the house walls.
Her eyes widened as a translucent number appeared before her face.
"-162?!" She muttered in disbelief as the door opened.
For her to take that damage, his strength had to be around 50s because that's the stat that determined physical damage.
Never mind hitting, she couldn't even consider it an attack. She recalled the fact that he merely pushed her with a single finger.
"Oh lord!" Edmund stepped inside, gasping upon witnessing the state of the house and his blooded daughter.
"Dad, is there anything you are hiding from me?!" Noting how her family kept track of Taurus during the last three months, Amelia believed something was wrong and thus, she took the initiative and asked him right away.
"Well, Yes... But, what happened here?!" Alexandra entered after Edmund and responded on his behalf awkwardly.
"We wanted to keep the matter a secret. But alas, it seems like we can't." Edmund responded before laughing dryly, he guessed the possibility of it being a secret was no longer possible since every maid knew it.
That's beside the house that needed to be fixed, meaning more people would eventually know about the incident.
Edmund argued with his wife for a while and finally, both agreed that Mammot had to know.
At first, Alexandra refused because Taurus was too young and such a titan could strike trauma into him easily due to its size, loud voice, and other factors.
But then, Taurus' strength was something neither of them was able to match nor control.
Naturally, it was risky keeping him around unhandled.
"Amelia, carry your brother and come with me." Having made up his mind, Edmund took his son over to Mammot so he could observe the boy and judge the situation for himself.
Amelia had known Mammot for long, yet she wasn't as familiar with the beast as her father was.
A few minutes later they arrived at Theodore's residence and their presence awoke the slumbering titan.
"What no— Oh!" Mammot muttered the moment he saw them before changing his tone upon spotting Taurus staring at him from Amelia's shoulder.
"Let him down, human." Witnessing Taurus' reaction, Mammot spoke as Taurus struggled to jump off his sister's arm.
Having been damaged by his reckless actions before, Amelia did as told without waiting for her father's instructions.
On the other hand, Taurus burst forward, circling the titan as if assessing it while his sister and father watched in amazement.
Noticing their reactions, Taurus took the chance to form their bond by halting behind Mammot.
Taurus' hand landed on the titan's frame as a familiar force invaded Mammot's mind.
'You troublesome motherfucker!' Knowing it was Taurus, Mammot allowed the force as an imprint to appear within his mind.
Taurus on the other hand, shook his head quickly before dismissing the messages appearing before his face while doing his best to hide his excitement.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations! The first soul link was successfully established, all received stats will be doubled!]
[Vitality increased by 159 and the total is 794!]
[Spirit increased by 53 and the total is 54!]
[Strength increased by 212 and the total is 496!]
[Dexterity increased by 106 and the total is 319!]
"Yes… I see why you've brought him here," Guessing the worries Edmund felt, Mammot spoke.
"Listen, Edmund. I suggest you begin teaching your son how to control his strength or else; You might regret it soon,"
Mammot finally gave away his thoughts after inspecting Taurus for a few minutes, acting as if he were analyzing the boy's behaviors.
"Never mind regretting, we are already past that point." Having witnessed what happened to his house and the kid's reaction to the beast, Edmund responded before sitting on the ground as Taurus continued circling relentlessly.
"I can begin already, but I feel like it would be too harsh."
"It won't be, if anything, you just need to guide him and maybe reward him for his efforts?! That's my idea, and of course, you are free to come up with whatever fits."
