Nice. That's a lot of skills and it also lets me know which I should grind.

"System, how do I get exp for skills?"

I asked the system waiting for an answer and compared it to before it came earlier. It must mean that the system was upgraded and can work better now. I wonder if this will be a thing that will happen again. I hope so.

[Host can level up the skills by simply using them, but progress is faster if used in actual combat.]

So I can just spam them and when my mana runs out, train physical skills like sword or polearms? This is broken. Although it will take a lot of time to do I can do it easily.

Not with that I at least know what I should focus on and have a more noticeable improvement in my capabilities. After all numbers like level and stats give a better idea about changes rather than just a feeling.

I wonder when she will use the doll to summon me again... She decided that the best option is to do it when we are sure nothing can match us. Mostly because of a time limit under which I can be around without fading. If someone strong comes and I cannot help because we already used up the doll that would be both annoying and dangerous at the same time.

Maybe one day we will figure out a way for me to come out of here whenever we want. Then there will be no problems with it, but at that time the doll would become useless.

I decided to leave those for the future. No use thinking about it when I have no leads.

Instead, I looked down at my hand or to be specific an item that appeared in my grasp.

A weird-looking purple stone with golden-like veins and a huge roman number six (VI) on it. The whole thing was smooth and warm to the touch. I didn't feel anything, but I could just tell that something was wrong with it, not just due to its appearance or the fact that it magically materialized in my hand, but it just gave this weird vibe.

What is this anyway?

[It's a summoning stone of 6th grade.]

"A summoning stone? Simplistic name, but from it I conclude that it summons something, right?"

Does it summon items or maybe being from another world? I read many fanfics in my life and I am prepared for tropes even more so that I was isolated to begin with.

[Yes host. Outstanding deduction.]

"Are you making fun of me?"

[No host. It's just your imagination.]

"Yeah, sure. So what does it do exactly?"

[It allows the host to summon a being from another world on a power level of grade 6. The being will be loyal at the moment of summoning, but it could change.]

Grade 6 power? What kind of strength level are we talking about? Maybe they will be stronger than me, who knows?

Again, as if being able to read my thought system answers my unspoken question.

[6th grade aka. Island level. This means that the being described has a power capable of destroying smaller islands with one or two attacks.]

Holy shit, that's a lot of damage!

I might get clapped instantly. I am not sure if I want to risk it...

[Host is grade 7-A. Which is like a peak of the grade, so there is not much of a difference.] (AN: Power level is taken from versus battle wiki. I am not gonna use it often, just for summoning.)

"If grade 6 is island level, what is 7?"

[City level. The host is capable of destroying a city with well-used dark magic. Especially if the host uses around half of mana on a single dark bullet. The resulting explosion can achieve such a feat.]

"Wait, really?"

I mean I know I've got stronger, but to be able to blow up whole cities is not something I anticipated.

[Host is greatly undermining his strength. Your wielder can achieve this without much problem and she admitted that you are on a similar level.]

Ok. Fuck it, let's do it.

"How do I activate it, system?"

[Fill it with mana and once it starts glowing, crush it. The host can make a simple filter.]

"A filter. You mean like decide that I want them to be able to do something or have specific personality traits?"

[Yes. While crushing the stone, the host needs to think about it and the stone will listen. If it gets too specific the request will get ignored. So please be mindful of what you ask for.]

Before I could continue I felt Atsune appear at the construction site. Of course, I went there to say hello at the very least. When I arrived she was getting comfortable talking with Ninya and the bunch of her team. They were talking about some completely unrelated topic and doing some small talk while Atsune was sneaking in questions about their well-being here.

I stood to the side waiting for them to finish and after she got what she wanted she ended the conversation and came up to me.

"Hello, how are you doing?"

Is this me or is she even more casual than before? Don't take it wrongly. I am all for it, but the change is still there. Anyway, back to business.

"Great seeing you. Did you notice?"

She without even batting an eye answered me.

"That I can now summon a few spirits from here in shikai form? Yes, that will prove very useful, especially when someone strong will appear here."

I also felt this kind of enthusiasm for it but decided to explain it in more detail since it has its own limitations.

"Well, the stronger the spirit summoned, the less of them you can summon. So you could either summon a dozen weaklings or a single chad."

She nodded at me realising that fact.

We walked around the construction site. To say she was shocked at how crowded it got here or the giant statue in the background would be an understatement. At some point, she even sneakily grabbed my hand, how lewd! And in public to boot! Seriously tho, was that a date? It certainly seemed so if walking around a medieval-like construction site while holding hands could be considered such.

Anyway, it took us less than an hour after which we parted. She went back to reality, while I came back into the statue.

Ok, coming back to the stone dilemma. So who do I want to summon? I think the best option is for me to get someone capable of wielding polearms well, I mean katanas are fun, but if the real fight starts I would rather be proficient at my strongest weapon instead of the most basic one. So what if I go overkill on basic enemies, I would rather do that than get owned because I don't know how to use my strongest equipment.

With that in mind, I took the stone and as the system mentioned I filled it with my mana. It slowly lit up getting more and more light coming out of it, in the end, I could feel it not being able to have more power inside of it so while thinking about polearm master I crushed it.

The shards flew before me and forming a cloud started swirling in a circle at that place. After a few dozen seconds the dust settled leaving a figure that I recognised.

How could I not recognise this legendary and annoying enemy that killed me countless times, and made me throw away and destroy a few pads while not even counting the number of rage quits I did because of it. Despite my feelings though I am very glad it's him, not only due to sentiment but his power, honourable personality and loyalty he shows. Thankfully the chance of him ever rebelling is very low.

I looked at the figure I knew all too well. The guy is as tall as one and a half standard modern-day human which means he is still slightly smaller than me. Golden slender, tightly fitting armor along with a helmet that was forged to share similarities with a lion. While in his hand rests a spear that back in his glorious days killed countless dragons. The whole visage brought deeply buried memories and trauma that I pushed down.

The figure knelt before me saying.

"Thank you for freeing me, my lord. This spear is yours to command now."

I just smiled and replied.

"Hope we will be having eternally lasting friendship, Ornstein."
