Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 941: 938: Plan

"No. They're humans from New Earth. Invaders to be precise."

Pamela and the others frowned when they heard Corey's words.

"Well, they looked like humans but since I didn't really look at them clearly, I couldn't see their appearances very well. But I know they're invaders from their auras."

"Their auras?" Kiefer asked with a baffled expression, and Corey nodded.

"My perception is quite high, so most of the times, I can differentiate between an Invaders and a native of New Earth." Corey paused. "Besides, they're Tiers are way too high for a native of New Earth. That's how I'm sure they're Invaders."

"How strong are they?" Pamela asked.

Corey glanced at her before shifting his gaze to the top of the ridge.

"Well, I counted sixteen people, and twelve are peak Tier 6s. Three are peak Tier 5s. And one seems to be on his way to advancing to Tier 7. He's stronger than the rest.

Pamela furrowed her brows slightly and also looked at the top of the ridge.

"I don't know how they knew, but they must have heard of the Celestial Dewfern since it seems like they're going in its direction."

Corey looked at her. "You can see them? And you can also see the Immortal Beast?"

Pamela shook her head. "I can't. My eyes don't have the same ability as yours which seems to be able to see everything in a very wide range."

"Then how?" Corey frowned slightly.

"I'm using my rune senses, and I'm communicating with the runes. I can get a rough idea of their path, but I can't see their appearances since it's too far for me."

"Hmm." Corey hummed softly, and then he looked in the direction of the Immortal Beast. He had a feeling that his actions had made the Immortal Beast more wary of its surroundings, and that its senses were trying to scour the entire ridge for the presence of danger.

'Although I'm not certain, if not for the fact that those people are ahead of us, I believe that the Immortal Beast's senses would have reached all the way here... Hmm.'

"Do those people think they'll be enough to defeat the Immortal Beast at the top of the ridge? I mean... it's an Immortal right? Wouldn't it be very powerful?" Selene asked with a slightly worried expression, and Pamela shook her head.

"I doubt. Cause if they knew, I don't think they would willingly choose to fight it since they could all die. Twelve peak Tier 6s, three peak Tier 5s, and a Half-Step Tier 6 is definitely not enough to defeat a Tier 7. Especially a Tier 7 beast that is physically stronger than the rest."

"What if they used a formation or an array?" Willow asked, speaking for the first time in a long time, and Pamela looked at her.

"Depends on how powerful the formation or array is and how powerful the beast is."

Pamela turned, and then she looked at Corey.

"By the way, you never told us about the Immortal Beast. What is it?"

"A leopard the size of a mammoth. It also has silver horns, and a closed eye at the center of its forehead."

Kiefer, Selene, and Willow blinked in surprise at the description of the Immortal Beast.

"That's one strange leopard." Kiefer mumbled, and Pamela nodded.

"I agree." She looked at Corey. "So? What's the plan?"

Corey placed his hand on his chin, and a calculating glint flashed in his eyes.

"Bait."

Pamela raised a brow. "You want to use the Invaders as bait? You want them to encounter the Immortal Beast first so that they'll battle it, they'll both be weakened, and then we'll sneak up on the Immortal Beast and the Invaders, and maybe kill them?"

The eyes of Kiefer, Selene, and Willow flashed with a profound light the moment they heard Pamela's words.

"That's a good plan." Kiefer said.

But Corey shook his head. "I don't plan on doing that."

"Huh?" Pamela looked at him with raised brows, and Kiefer, Selene, and Willow were taken aback.

"So what's our plan then?" Pamela asked, and Corey pointed at Kiefer.

"Our plan mainly depends on him."

"Me?" Kiefer pointed at himself in shock.

"Yes, you." Corey nodded, and then he looked at Pamela.

"The two of us are going to be the bait."

"Huh?" Pamela tilted her head with an utterly confused expression.

"We'll get to the Immortal Beast before the Invaders, and we'll draw its attention. It's going to attack us, and we'll attack back. But we'll also kill the other beasts that are close to the top of the ridge so that they won't pose a problem for Selene, Willow, and Kiefer."

"When we're done killing all the beasts, we'll run away. But we'll run in the direction of the Invaders, and the Immortal Beast will chase us. When we meet the Invaders, we'll join forces with them to battle the Immortal Beast, and then we wait for Kiefer to uproot the Celestial Dewfern when we're battling the beast."

Pamela had a frown on her face, and Kiefer, Selene, and Willow had confused expressions on their faces.

Corey continued his explanation. "When the Immortal Beast is chasing us, Kiefer, Selene, and Willow will go to the top of the ridge, and Kiefer would uproot the Celestial Dewfern."

Corey looked at Kiefer. "Since Pamela and I would kill the beasts on our way up there and the beasts on the ridge, it won't be so dangerous for you. Our lives depends on how fast you're able to uproot the Celestial Dewfern. But that doesn't mean that you should rush and uproot poorly. Be calm, but don't be slow. We're facing an Immortal Beast, and we might truly lose our lives."

A solemn and heavy expression appeared on Kiefer's face, and he nodded. "I'll do my best, Master."

Corey nodded, and then he looked at Selene and Willow. "Your job is to protect Kiefer at all costs. In case any beast appears, you're to kill it. You're strong, believe in yourself."

"Yes, Master." Both mother and daughter nodded, and Corey nodded too.

"Oh, and one more thing."
