Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 495: 494: Heaven's Pulse

Zal'Zerael's eyes glowed brighter, and the arcs of lightning across its body intensified when it heard Pamela's words.

The calamity raised one of its massive claws, and the veins of murky white energy running through its body surged. It's maws opened wide, and then it spoke,

"Chrono-Bolt Cataclysm."

The moment Zal'Zerael said these words, it unleashed a bolt of lightning infused with time distortion, the air warping around as it tore toward Pamela.

What was also strange was that wherever the bolt passed, time would rewind and another similar bolt would also appear in that particular spot, making it seem like Zar'Zerael had unleashed tens and hundreds of lightning bolts instead of just one.

However, approximately three seconds later, the bolts vanished, and only the bolt that Zar'Zerael launched at Pamela could be seen.

The runes screamed a warning in her ears, but Pamela was already moving. She traced a quick pattern in the air with her finger, and a Gate made entirely of runes appeared before her.

Runic Gate

Just as it appeared, the bolt of lightning struck the gate and a ripple spread outwards from the gate. A second later, the bolt vanished, only to reappear moments later, a meter from Zal'Zerael's head.

It was redirected back toward Zal'Zerael.

The titan's glowing eyes widened slightly, and it twisted its body to avoid the attack. However, it was too late and it was just too large.

The redirected bolt struck one of its wing, and when it did, time rewinded around the wing it struck and the bolt appeared once again, and struck it.

More than a hundred bolts struck the wing of the titanic dragonic abomination, but only a second had gone by. A second later, an explosion of light and sound that briefly illuminated the stormy skies occurred.

Pamela watched all of these, and through her eyes, she saw that the damage done to Zal'Zerael's wing was so small that it looked like a toothpick had attacked its wing instead of a lightning bolt that could destroy more than half of Gravenstone and Stormhold City combined together.

'It's either its defenses are absurdly high, or it's because the bolt was its attack, or… lightning of such a level cannot harm it… It might even be all three surprisingly and unfortunately.'

Pamela thought with her silver eyes and the infinity symbol in them glowing brightly.

Despite the thoughts she had, Pamela smirked, "Looks like you're not as untouchable as you think."

Za'Zerael growled, the sound echoing like thunder. "You dare mock me, Outsider?"

Pamela chuckled with a wide smile, "Oh, I don't just dare, I fucking thrive on it."

Without waiting for a response from the draconic abomination, Pamela raised both her hands, and the runes around her flared brighter than ever.

Runic constructs began to form in the air around her- massive swords, shields, and spears of glowing energy and runes hummed with a destructive power that resounded across the lands and skies of Raging Sky.

Zal'Zerael's body crackled with renewed lightning, and its voice rang out like a thunderclap. "You will regret challenging me, Outsider."

"Prove it," Pamela shot back, her silver eyes gleaming with determination, and the infinity symbols glowed brightly.

Without waiting for a response from Zal'Zerael, Pamela waved her hand and the thousands of humming weapons made out of mana and runes moved.

Faster than a mortal could blink, the weapons appeared before Zal'Zerael, but then something which she did not expect happened. Enjoy new chapters from empire

Zal'Zerael's monstrous form began to shift. The fragments of its body moved, and then its entire body detached itself and it turned to a storm of wind and lightning.

Pamela's runic constructs went through its body like it did not exist, and just as Pamela was about to control the weapons, multiple crimson bolts struck each weapon from the sky, and every single weapon got destroyed.

Pamela's smirk faded slowly when she saw this, and then Zal'Zerael began shapeshifting back to his original form.

"You amuse me, Outsider," Zal'Zerael growled, its voice reverberating like an ancient storm. "But now, you'll know the price of defying one of the Seven Deadly Powers of the Old Ones."

Before Pamela could respond, the beast roared, a guttural, thunderous bellow that sent a shockwave through the skies. The force slammed into Pamela like a physical wall, her runic barriers flickering under the assault.

"Damn, you're loud," Pamela muttered, and then she stabilized her defenses with a flick of her wrist.

Zal'Zerael didn't wait. Its colossal wings flapped once, and it vanished, reappearing directly above her. With terrifying speed, it brought down one of its jagged claws, glowing with crackling lightning.

The air screamed as the claw descended, splitting apart the atmosphere with sheer force.

Pamela barely managed to evade, her body twisting as she teleported a dozen meters away. The claw struck the space she had just occupied, and the impact created a deafening explosion of light and sound.

The shockwave rippled outward, shattering nearby mountains and tearing massive fissures into the ground below. If one stared at the ground beneath the Zal'Zerael, one would see four massive and terrifying fissures that resembled a claw on the ground.

"That's… excessive," Pamela muttered, her tone still playful but laced with tension.

Zal'Zerael turned to face her, its eyes glowing brighter. Without warning, it opened its maw and unleashed a torrent of liquid lightning, a chaotic stream of energy that surged toward Pamela like a river of destruction.

The runes screamed a warning, and Pamela reacted instantly.

"Fractal Barrier."

A series of translucent shields formed around her, each one spinning and overlapping in a complex pattern. The liquid lightning struck the barriers, splintering into smaller streams that arced harmlessly into the surrounding air.

But Zal'Zerael wasn't finished. It raised its massive tail and swung it with a speed that defied its size. The spines at the end of the tail glowed with an intense energy, and as it struck, it released a shockwave of pure lightning.

Pamela's barriers shattered instantly, and she was sent hurtling through the air. Her body crashed into the side of a mountain, leaving a massive crater in the stone.

Coughing slightly, Pamela pulled herself free, her eyes narrowing. "Okay, now you're pissing me off."

Zal'Zerael roared again, and the skies above began to change. The clouds churned violently, coiling into a massive vortex. From within the vortex, bolts of lightning the size of towers began to descend, striking the battlefield in rapid succession.

"Heaven's Pulse."
