'Damn… there is really too much.'
Those were the professions in the academy. Choosing one would determine my classes and the ranking I'm going to enter.
Each one had the option of being chosen as primary, secondary or none.
If I chose none, I wouldn't attend that profession's classes at all.
If I chose secondary, I'd end up attending some classes for general knowledge about them.
If I chose primary, I'd not just get more advanced education in that profession, but I'd also get a chance to get a private teacher in that field and will enter the ranking.
Each profession had its own ranking and perks. You can't put a blacksmith and alchemist in the same ranking after all, right?
Well, there was a small exception, and it was combat mastery.
Many things changed since that show ended, and one of them was that combat mastery didn't have the option of "None" anymore.
Many people in the land of challenges died because they couldn't fight, like Paul and the 2 dwarves in team 3. Thus, combat classes weren't optional anymore.
Who knows? Maybe someday, someone would end up in a similar situation. Those people who died didn't expect to end up there at all.
I fixed my gaze on the combat mastery and chose it as primary, and immediately, too many brunches of it appeared.
Those were the specializations. I could choose none to get general education or choose one of them to get a more focused education.
There was specialization for each weapon, for unarmed combat, and for tactics and strategies.
Without hesitation, I chose unarmed close combat, bow archery, magic, and daggers close combat.
I wasn't smart enough to specialize in strategies and tactics, so it was out of options for me.
My next profession was Artificery.
Once I pressed on it, weaving, forging, and rune-inscribing disappeared.
It was because the artificery contained all of them. It was the full process of turning something into an artifact. Starting from making the item itself like weaving a piece of clothing or making a sword, to inscribing runes on it and turning it into an artifact.
Multiple specializations brunched out of it. I chose to specialize in Inscribing itself and runesmithing because of my runes and forging talents.
I pressed none on the professions I didn't have talent on like alchemy, and professions I wasn't interested in like leadership, beast taming, and all the soul and will matters.
The last 2 weren't originally in the academy, but thanks to Yami, there were multiple breakthroughs in soul and will, and an item that could be used to make a bond between an Eldorian and a beast, which gave the beast taming some potential.
In the end, I chose cooking, and mana and aether studies as my secondary professions and pressed submit.
The cooking wasn't actually that useless if I used the magical ingredients, and the studies would help me in making my own spells.
After confirming my choices, I leaned back in my seat and crossed my arms while observing the hall's entrance door.
I had to see the main characters after all. It's been 18 years since I found myself in this world and had only seen Zephyr!
Thankfully, I didn't have to wait so long.
The first familiar face I had seen was an expressionless beautiful human girl with silky, long white hair that cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall. She wore a long, white hoodie with strange blue marks on it.
"Liora Frost, please take a seat and answer the questions we'll send to your bracelet."
The teacher repeated the same words she said for each student. But what captured my attention was the name.
'Oh, I remember her. She was the class representative if I remember correctly.'
I turned my gaze to the door again immediately, not wanting to stare for a long time at a girl.
*Tak Tak Tak*
The sound of light steps echoed behind me and stopped suddenly.
I looked to the side and found Liora standing beside me. My purple eyes locked with her bright blue ones.
"Is there any problem?" I asked her.
"The window…"
'Huh?'
I was confused for a moment, but then understood what she wanted.
"Sure."
I teleported to the next seat beside me immediately, letting her sit behind the window.
'Tsk, I lost my favourite seat on the first day.'
But that was a good start. Sitting behind one of the strongest students would help to form a connection with her later.
"I have a question…" Liora suddenly opened her mouth while looking at her bracelet. "By any chance do you have the space affinity?"
I nodded to her. "Yes, I have it. Is there a problem?"
She hesitated for a moment then continued: "Why did you teleport to the next seat? You could have just moved a little…"
"....."
Embarrassed, I scratched my head. "I mean… why not? It's easier than moving..."
She looked at me with narrowed eyes, then turned her head back to her bracelet and murmured: "Showing off…"
"...."
Well, she wasn't wrong entirely.
I mean… who would have the ability to teleport and not use it with every chance?! Additionally, it was faster and more effective than walking!
I looked back at the door. Every few minutes, someone would enter, but I didn't know any of them.
Until one moment—
*Clank!*
2 humans, a man and a girl, entered the hall.
Everyone, and I say everyone looked at them with wide eyes and open mouths.
The girl that was smiling happily had long platinum blonde hair and wore an elegant white dress. What captured people's attention was her eyes which had golden irises with a hint of cyan in the middle, greatly enhancing her beauty.
She was beautiful, but there were many beautiful girls in this world like the one beside me. She wasn't that special.
What was really shocking was the man behind her.
He was a glowing handsome man with bright golden hair that reached his shoulder and a pair of golden eyes, and by glowing I meant it in the literal way!
He wore a white suit and held himself with unshakable confidence.
So what was the problem?
It was the pair of golden feathered wings in his back! They were shining like the sun in the morning, almost blinding us from looking at him.
I knew these 2, but seeing how they looked now, I began to doubt myself.
The girl was the human kingdom's youngest princess, Elara Sunblade.
The guy next to her was her twin brother, the human kingdom's youngest prince, the holder of solar affinity, and the novel's original protagonist, Arthur Sunblade.
'I knew they were probably gambling on Yami too… but the fuck were their rewards!'
Unfortunately, I had no way to know.
