Reincarnated into a Doomed Novel as an Unknown Extra

Chapter 77: Elyndra [2]

Leaving the elevator, the first thing I saw was walls. A huge island surrounded by black walls and a huge crimson gate in the middle.

The ship stood still at the port, a mage was expanding it by making many platforms as the students gathered on the surface. I narrowed my eyes and detected Zephyr and Celestia easily.

"I'll go now. See you guys later. Especially you, Jake."

I waved at Alexia, who was sitting on a floating carpet of water, and Jake, who had a swollen blue face

I was so proud of him. He didn't shed a single tear today! That was progress.

I gave Jake a thumbs up before heading to Zephyr and Celestia.

They noticed me approaching them and waved to me. I raised my hand to wave back to them, but suddenly, a man's voice echoed through the ship.

"All Exalted and Cultivators move to the right and the normal students to the left!"

I moved to the right side of the ship and noticed how there were only a few hundred of us. Meanwhile on the left side, tens of thousands were gathered together.

That was how rare Exalted and Cultivators were, leading to us having an insanely higher position that couldn't be reached by a normal person.

After a few minutes when everyone gathered, a man in a black suit approached us.

"From now on, you are all citizens of Elyndra until you graduate. You have only 1 week to do all the required tests before entering the academy so do them as fast as possible — unless you want to face a penalty. You understand?!" He yelled.

"Yes sir!"

He nodded in satisfaction before continuing. "You received enough coins to live for a month. You will have to earn your own coins after that. Everything you would need can be found in your bracelet, and there are some numbers you can contact in emergencies. You can enter Elyndra now."

He moved to the side, revealing stairs that were made of light and led to the land.

"And one last thing." He paused for a moment, then continued: "Don't cause big troubles with the other races — especially dwarfs!! Never talk about their height, you understand?!"

"Yes sir!"

Finally, he left and let us leave the ship.

A few moments later, we stood in a long, and I mean really long line of people that was leading to the crimson gate.

"Damn! Can't we just pass?" Zephyr yelled angrily, and Celestia patted his back gently.

For the third time, they wanted to check us and our belongings, so they were taking some time on each person.

I understood how important safety was, but wasn't that too much? And all that for what! In the end, the demons would find a way to enter this place… no, they were actually here already! If Drax was still alive, he would have been hiding here now.

After waiting for what felt like a few hours, we finally passed through the gate.

I still remember the sharp look that the security guy gave me. It was too obvious that the majority of my items were from the black market, but he didn't have anything to do.

Once we passed through the gate, I was amazed by the scene.

It was… a slum.

Broken buildings, students begging on the streets, and the scent — Damn! Sometimes I wondered if my trait was a curse.

The more we moved inside the city, the better the quality of life became.

That was how Elyndra worked, and the reason behind this was that the contribution points didn't work in this place, instead, there was another currency called Elyndra Coins or EC in short.

There were many ways to get them, and for the normal people, one of these ways was working in this city, which meant that the majority of the workers here were just students trying to earn some EC.

Unfortunately, just like life anywhere else, not all people here were lucky or talented enough to make a successful job, leading to forming a structure of poor and rich by default. But they wouldn't die of hunger. There was free food called life bars. They were enough to keep them alive but they tasted like shit.

No matter how useless they were in Elyndra, they will end up getting a job after graduation eventually, but how good the job was would depend on how their performance in Elyndra was.

'It's none of my business anyway. As an Exalted, I have more ways to earn EC.'

Some moments later, we arrived at a small white lab.

For Exalted and cultivators, we were asked to do some physical tests in any lab around the city and the results would go to the academies, so we entered the lab without hesitation.

Thankfully, there was a small line of people this time! So after just a few seconds we reached the end of the line.

A woman that seemed to be in her late 40s scanned us before saying:

"Show me your bracelets and the tests you want to do."

I turned on my bracelet and showed her my personal information then said: "All of them."

She nodded and pointed in a direction. Following it, we reached a vast room with many people in lab coats on it.

A man approached us with a smile. "We were informed about you — please stand beside that room and wait your turn.

I looked at the direction he was pointed at and saw another long line of people!

'I'm really tired of this, damn!'

Sighing helplessly, I stood while talking with Zephyr and Celestia to spend time.

Eventually, I became the first in the line.

I stood before a glass room with only a punching bag inside. Beside the punching bag, there was a girl standing silently.

There was a platform behind me with some scientists standing on it observing the girl.

"Punch it without using your aura."

The girl nodded and did as they said.

*Bam!*

A number hovered above the bag. It was 94.

The scientist nodded in satisfaction. "The average for Tier 3 is 102. You aren't that bad. Now use your pure aura."

The girl covered her body in aura and punched the bag again, with the number 170 appearing this time.

The girl then left and headed to the next test, then I entered the room.

Without waiting for the scientist to speak, I punched the bag with all my force.

*Bam!*

The number that appeared was 120, which was definitely due to my trait.

'above average. Not bad.'

"Use your enhancement now."

I enhanced my body and punched the bag again.

*BAM!*

This time, the number was 250.

It was slightly more than the double, which showed the scientist my high control over the enhancement.

I had now only one type of energy which was aether, due to that, it was easier to master it, especially after drinking the talent Elixir.

After leaving the room, Celestia began her tests and ended them quickly, with 100 and 190 as her results.

Then it was the turn of… Zephyr…

'I hope he doesn't break this bag…'

Zephyr stood before the bag with high confidence as if he knew that he was going to break all records.

*BOOM!*

The sound of his punch rang through the air like a canon, leaving all of us watching with wide mouths as we saw the result.

"That's… impossible… 270 WITHOUT enhancing?!" A scientist screamed in shock, but his eyes widened even more when Zephyr enhanced his body.

*BOOM!*

"..."

"600…"

Staring at the result and his wide grin, I couldn't help but envy. His reward was just overpowered!

Zephyr Stormblade… he technically — wasn't an elf anymore.

His reward changed his already strong body entirely.
