Chapter 76: Elyndra [1]
"Glad that we have an agreement now, young master. That was a nice argument." I wiped the blood in my gloves as I smiled at Jake who flinched in response.
Well, if I could still call that thing Jake. He now had a swollen blue face with visible punches and kicks marks. Oh, and don't forget the blood mixed with his tears.
He looked better than before if you asked me. Maybe I had a hidden talent to fix the arrogant young masters' faces.
But genuinely speaking, I still couldn't believe that he cried like a little girl after the third punch. He had an aura core, lived in a world that was at war, and watched a show filled with gore, yet he was just a fucking spoiled brat!
This world was really doomed, but it was okay. I had an idea to fix brats like him. I called it "Character Development.
"Hey Jake."
"Y-yes sir!" Trembling, he stood up while wiping his tears.
"Starting from tomorrow, I'll beat the shit out of you everyday until you become a real man — okay?
"Why...Why are you doing this… I apologized…" he went pale immediately as the tears started flowing over his face again.
Yeah he would need too much character development.
Alexia was looking at him with pity and horror in her eyes as if she witnessed a crime or something. Once our eyes met, she flinched slightly.
I was a little confused. "What? He deserved it! Or do you like it when someone calls you a fish?"
She shook her head. "No. It's just… nevermind."
I decided to ignore that matter for now. "Well, I'll go to the bathroom for a fast shower."
"Don't stay there for a long time. I'll go after you. I love water!" Alexia shouted happily.
*Bam!*
I closed the door as I scanned the bathroom.
It was a simple white bathroom that contained an urinal, a toilet, a shower, and a small pool at the corner.
I turned on the water from the shower and moved to the side. I didn't actually need the bathroom. I was in the bathroom just to hide something. In fact, since I had awakened my physique and I didn't really need the bathroom anymore. My body was just that perfect.
With a simple thought, a huge black egg with spreading cracks across its shell materialized on my hand.
'Oh I missed you too.'
After years of feeding her my will, our connection deepened, getting the ability to hide her in my soul like my soul-bound artifacts.
I wasn't stupid to let some strangers know about my future daughter!
I channeled some of my aether to her. She devoured all of it without letting it leak outside. That way, no one knew that I used it, and my bracelet couldn't detect aether so I was safe.
After finishing everything, I kissed her goodnight before dismissing her, then I closed the water and left the bathroom.
I turned my head to Alexia. "There is a pool there if you like it."
Her eyes shone brightly. "Oh! Can you carry me there, please!"
"Sure."
I carried her like a princess — ignoring Jake that was hugging his knees on his bed — and took her to the bathroom.
I had to use all my willpower to stop my face from twitching because of her fucking fish smell!
'Screw my heightened senses, damn!'
As fast as possible, I put her in the pool and left before she could thank me.
When I returned to the bed, my bracelet began to shine. I pressed on it instantly and a screen materialized before me.
[The ship will start moving in a few minutes. Please follow the rules because your life may depend on them.]
"Oh… it's starting already." I muttered as I began to check Zephyr's chat. That guy was spamming for some reason.

Zephyr: Ray!
Zephyr: Ray
Zephyr: Ray!!
Zephyr: I'm in a room with 3 beautiful girls, and one of them is a foxgirl! My luck is finally blooming!
Me: mfr you have just become a legal adult.
Me: don't do anything stupid!
Me: Hey! Answer me
Me: Zephyr?
Me: I'll inform Celestia
Zephyr: Done!
Me: Done what?! You fucking pervert!
Zephyr: Don't*

'Damn! I almost had a heart attack!'
I gritted my teeth, but stopped when I noticed Jake shaking.
For just a brief moment, I felt that I was too harsh on him, but then I remembered how he called me a commoner and all my sympathy vanished.
'that's for his own good anyway. He must be glad that he has a generous extra like me.'
Inhaling slowly, I closed my eyes and began to sleep, though I didn't dare to let my guard down.
In novels like this, something bad would always happen in the sea. They didn't show in detail what happened to the protagonist but there was a line about 3 people dying to protect the ship.
I slept peacefully, but inwardly, I was ready to teleport in any second.
Something was definitely going to happen.
•••
"Raylin Crimson! Here is your bag. Check your belongings quickly — we are leaving soon."
'Yeah nevermind. I'm not the protagonist.'
Our ride ended smoothly without any troubles. Except for some shaking and the sounds of monsters roaring in the night, there was nothing else special.
But could you blame me for being paranoid? Better be safe than sorry.
I took the spatial from the worker as he turned around and gave similar bags to Alexia and Jake.
I held the bag upside down and everything fell from it to the ground. Then I began to check them, ignoring Alexia's and Jake's shocked faces.
A black ancient skill book that was waiting for me to reach tier 5. Thankfully, without the description, they couldn't know what it contained.
There were some daggers, knives, magical traps, needles, 2 hammers, a spatial ring, and an anvil.
There were hundreds of water bottles and canned food that could be enough for 10 people to live half a year. Oh, and some sleeping bags.
There were also many different materials, big bottles of magical ink from various tiers, some scrolls, some potions, and my necklace.
And of course, bunches of enchanted arrows that I made myself.
"Everything is there, thank you." I thanked the worker as I put the majority of the items into my spatial ring, and the most important ones in my spatial storage.
I didn't read the novel to know what would happen in the academy, and even if I read, the land of challenges would have made my knowledge useless anyway, so I decided to be ready in my own way.
Well… maybe I made too many preparations, but as I said before, better be safe than sorry.
*Ding!*
A notification sound suddenly ringed through the air as 2 screens materialized.
[The ship has arrived at its destination. Please gather on the ship's surface and follow the guidebook's instructions]
[Welcome to Elyndra! The city of academies!]
