The audition ended and Vanessa made her way back to her dressing room.

"You did well at the audition.

" Susan complimented.

"Thanks, now what's next on the schedule?"

"Well we have the Press conference meeting and it starts in an hour.. it was shifted. Here," she handed over a script to Vanessa.

"What's this?" Vanessa asked, confused.

"Huh.. well these are the things the director and team has written to answer the questions that would be thrown by the reporters."

Upon hearing that Vanessa frowned slightly as she read the script and her face turned somewhat red as she slammed the script on the desk in front of her.

Bang!

"What the hell.. do they really want me to tell all these lies… w-wh.." Vanessa was speechless.

Sighing, Susan picked up the script as she calmed Vanessa down, "Just relax. All this is for your own good. If the reporters or any of your fans find out about the real reason Tara was kept a secret, then it would affect your career and we don't want that."

"So read it and when it's time I'll come get you, okay?" With that Susan adjusted her suit as she made her way out.

With all that, Vanessa just stays there, deep in thought.

Meanwhile,

Walking sneakily was no one other than Eunice as she made sure no one was following behind her.

She finally got to a secluded corner in the massive hallway and awaiting her presence was a casually dressed woman.

"Did you bring the money?" She questioned as Eunice took out a brown envelope and handed it over to her.

"You know what to do… I don't want to pay you for a stupid result." She said frowning.

"Don't worry, I'm good at my job and you're paying well so I'll do well."

"You better, make sure you hit Vanessa to the point where she doesn't even know what to say. I already gave you the script she would be using to reply to the reporters.. use it against her and expose her."

"Don't worry, I'll get the job done.. just turn on your phone and stay tuned." With that, the woman turned around and left.

With her gone, Eunice sighed slightly. She was going to teach Vanessa a little lesson for challenging her in the audition, she always gets what she wants.. always.

Soon the time for the conference came and Susan and some other team members came to get Vanessa.

They escorted her to the conference room and as soon as she stepped her feet into the huge room, flashes from cameras and microphones from the reporters were all directed straight at her.

She was able to pass through them with the help of her team and some security until she took her seat, while Susan and Sam stood behind her ready to help her at any time.

Just seated across her was Jaime and Jaime was the host of the press conference.

"We go live in 10 seconds!" They announced.

And in 10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2.1 THEY WENT LIVE.

"Hello and good evening citizens of Graceland, I am currently here with our favourite and most beloved Actress Vanessa Owen."

Smiling Vanessa waved at them as she smiled brightly, her smile beautiful enough to sweep anyone off their feet.

"We are all aware of the recent incident that occurred a week ago, concerning the disappearance of Miss Owen's supposed daughter. Because of this the fans have been left disheartened about the fact that Miss Owen has hidden the identity of her daughter. Although they are happy she was found safe and sound, they are still sad and feel that Miss Owen doesn't value them enough to permit them to know of her assistance."

Hearing that, Vanessa said with a sad and pitiful expression, "I have to say I am truly sorry for keeping it from you all.. I've been meaning to expose her identity to you all but I wasn't expecting it to be in such a way, please forgive me it wasn't intentional."

Vanessa said as she the stood up and bowed slightly to apologize and seeing her beg for forgiveness made her fans cry and feel bad for making their idol beg.

The comments were getting wild as everyone was complimenting Vanessa it was as though the press conference was never even needed.

With that said, Vanessa was ready to end it here but some reporters wouldn't let her go so easily.

They all started asking different questions one after the other and Vanessa answered them calmly.

Until one usual reporter brought up a certain question, "But what is the exact reason you kept your daughter a secret? We want to hear the reason from you?"

She said as immediately other reporters backed her up as everywhere and everywhere became silent to hear Vanessa's response.

Staring at the numerous cameras before her, Vanessa felt nervous at some point. She was literally at the centre of attention, millions of people all over Graceland all staring at her like tigers staring at her prey and it was as though all her sevens years of acting and fame was at the line.

"Just tell them what was written in the script." Susan whispered to her, maintaining a smile but Vanessa wasn't gonna.

Taking a deep breath, she then stated, "Because I was ashamed of her!"
