RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System

Chapter 326: Don't Care The price

Valera being involved in an accident, there had to be more to it. People get involved in accidents all the time, the thing that differentiates the accidents are their different degrees of damage, also the circumstances surrounding them.

All Grace whispered to me was that Valera was in an accident, and I halted with my questions for the moment.

When we returned to the car, our driver, Denise's maid, was waiting. The young female was unaware of the travesty that had been committed upon her, and I believed it was better things remain that way.

No harm had been done to her, so there was no need saddling her with an unnecessary burden. That didn't mean I would forget the actions of the Casters, though.

Covered in blood and pieces of flesh, the maid's eyes stretched wide like saucers, her mind struggling to come up with an answer for our state.

Kind of me, I saved her a brain overload.

"We're okay, it's not our blood"

"There is flesh."

"Yeah, but the good news is that it's not ours. There is an emergency, take us to the airport."

"But..." The maid started, most likely wanting to remind me that I was to return to Denise's residence, but I had already stepped into the vehicle.

As we drove out of the Caster's mansion, Grace communicated my intentions to head straight to the airport with Denise and, ending the call, she turned to me.

"Who informed Denise of this?"

"Martha."

"Why didn't she call my phone?"

"It wasn't working"

Reaching into my pocket, I brought out my device, its cracked screen and crushed back answering us.

"Well, what's the full story."

There had to be more, else Denise wouldn't reach out to me.

"Valera on her way to school was involved in an accident, she was hit by a truck."

"You said on her way to school, that's several hours ago. Why am I just getting this information now?"

"I didn't ask"

"Why am I talking to you and not her?"

A phone call and I was connected with Denise. Seconds later, when even she showed ignorance, I put my hand to my forehead.

"Why hasn't anyone thought to link me up directly with Martha."

"Following her first call to me, I've been unable to reach her."

"How did she even get your number?" A good question came to my mind.

"When you went to London."

"Have you contacted Nadia?"

"Yes, she's looking for Martha."

"So what you're saying is that not only was Valera involved in an accident, but Martha has also gone missing."

"Yes."

"Where is Valera?"

"I have someone currently tracing her whereabouts, but we are facing a bit of difficulty."

"Shouldn't something like this be on the news?"

"There is a low chance such an incident will make it past Los Angeles news."

"Sir, I think you should take a breath and calm down."

Immediately I heard Denise's second sentence, my eyes narrowed, and I wanted to give her a piece of my mind, but I held back the frustration going through me.

"Is the jet ready?"

"Sir, I just can't make that happen, it will take some time. I'm still in negotiations with several agencies with available jets. Your request is too sudden, and none of them are ready to take off anytime soon."

That Denise was already in negotiations to get me a jet ready so soon spoke praises of her quick reasoning, but I couldn't help but be annoyed with her, hearing about delays.

"Calm down Marcus, she doesn't know the full story." I told myself.

Visibly taking deep breaths, Grace noticing and shifting uncomfortably, I spoke to Denise, who had been stumped by my silence.

"This is an emergency—I don't have time for negotiations. If they don't want a hundred thousand, throw them a million. If it's not enough, double it. By the time I reach the airport, I don't care if you have to buy a jet for thrice the price—I want a plane steaming and ready to fly me—is that clear?"

"Yes, Sir" Denise's tone was solemn and firm, and I couldn't help but notice the smile that came to my face.

"Good"

Ending the call, I relaxed into my seat, handing the phone to Grace.

"Call Nadia."

"I don't have her number."

I had been calm, but suddenly, in an instant, the atmosphere within the car turned heavy—even the lady at the front looking back through the mirror above her.

I said nothing, just remaining relaxed, my eyes even closing, the tension in the car rising, and something terrifying attempting to be born.

I didn't release the malevolent shine, as that could possibly cause a heart attack, but I let some of my presence, tainted with a mix of emotions, leak out of me.

"I'll find the number, sir" Grace suddenly breathed out, heavy breaths coming out of her after she finished speaking, her chest rising and falling desperately.

With the sweat dripping from her face and soaking the neckline of her cloth, one would have thought the woman had just run a marathon.

It didn't take long for Grace to get me connected with Nadia, and the woman had rather dampening news for me.

"I tracked Martha's phone to a waste bin on the road. I asked around if anyone spotted her, but turned up empty. No one reported a fight taking place or a woman being assaulted, so there's a good chance Martha herself threw away the phone."

"Yeah, I concur with you."

"Do you know why that is, sir?"

"That's a sensitive topic."

"I see. Well, Sir, at the moment, I'm doing my best to sweep through the hospitals on this side of the city. I believe if I find Valera, I will also find Martha."

"Okay, but be careful. If you find Martha, unless absolutely necessary, don't make contact with her. Is that clear?"

"Yes, Sir."

Ending the call, I handed Grace back her phone, and the woman had some words to say.

"You make it sound like she's a dangerous person."

I turned to Grace, genuinely surprised that the woman could talk considering the pressure I had just put her under, and her lips stretched, a little shaken.

"Have you forgotten I was there with you in the Caster's mansion. "
