Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 272: Wife Leveling

A few hours went by, and the two had been pretty much killing everything they could find.

Yet despite that, Zafira seemed a bit worried, so the two never approached any Grade 2 monsters and strayed pretty far from the Grade 1s as well.

But even so, the hour was definitely fruitful.

"I'm going to smash that fucking orc's face," Rael said with a grumble as he wiped the blood off his forehead.

It wasn't his blood, of course.

It just so happened that they fought a horde of annoying mosquitos, and those cheeky fuckers exploded every time they killed one.

So as it stood, Zafira was currently drenched from head to toe in blood.

"Heh..."

"Don't laugh." Zafira pouted. "Do you have any of those water-absorbing towels? They might work on blood too."

"Can't you just use your mana to burn off the blood?" Rael asked. "You have aura, right? That fancy stuff swordsmen in the movies use."

He also saw her slashing the monsters with all sorts of fire attacks.

It was pretty nice to look at, and the power behind each attack was also pretty solid.

But most importantly, her level had gone up, and so had her class.

—Zafira Sutekh (Duke Class Boss) [Level 1,677] Vitality: Tier 3 [96% / 100% HP]

He could inspect her now because of his Primordial Sight upgrade.

Her level basically caught up to mine... huh? Rael thought in amusement. The experience needed to level up increases drastically, so at her level, she's going to need as much effort as me to reach the next levels.

Still...

They got the same amount of experience because of a certain feature.

When two people are married, the experience shared is no longer based off contribution. We each get 100% of the monster's experience, so it's basically an infinite experience farm for the most part.

Anyhow, Zafira finally finished burning the blood off herself, and now, it was time to change tactics.

"I still need around 200 levels and then I can ascend. We're going to kill that orc," Rael stated.

She rolled her eyes. "Why not start with Grade 1 monsters first? When you ascend, then we can switch to the stronger ones."

Rael let out a sigh.

"Let's give it a shot. If it starts firing nukes at us, we run."

She stared at him with a conflicted look, and before she could argue further, the ground suddenly shook.

A wave of satisfaction hit Rael as he saw a towering figure rush toward them from the distance.

Of course, it was none other than the giant Blue Orc.

It held a giant axe in its hand, and beautiful armor adorned its massive body.

But even so, Rael didn't panic as he shot Zafira a smirk and took a single step, appearing right in front of the Blue Orc.

The moment he did, he was met with an axe that swung down at him and cleaved him into two.

Or that was the vision he saw with his 2-second foresight.

So to prevent that, Rael waited patiently and dodged at the last moment.

<[Phase] has been triggered!>

<Your next attack deals 300% more damage>

Ever since leveling up the skill to max, the damage had increased significantly.

So with that in mind, he reappeared right above the Blue Orc, and in the very next moment, he hit his Violet String.

-9%! [60.228 Trillion] | Critical True Note (x1 Crystal Violin Blade)

The note traveled around its head and into its eye, carving it out in an instant.

Since the monster wasn't a Boss, dealing with it was much easier.

Especially since its stats were not the best.

So with that in mind, Rael flapped his fairy wings and flew higher into the sky.

At the same time, the Blue Orc turned around and swung its axe at him.

Immediately, a streak of blue lightning appeared, and the moment it did, Rael had very little time to dodge.

Even with his foresight, he saw himself being hit.

That was when Zafira finally stepped in.

She raised her sword into the sky as a purple aura began crackling around it.

And without hesitation, she brought the sword down across the Blue Orc's back.

Since she used her Chaos Aura, it managed to pierce clean through the orc's armor and, at the same time, redirect its blue lightning to the side, causing it to narrowly miss Rael.

He checked its HP.

—Blue Orc (Grade 2 | General Class Elite) [Level 421] | Vitality: Tier 6 [87% / 100% HP]

Her damage was pretty good, almost matching his own.

That was when a certain screech snapped him out of his thoughts.

The Blue Orc suddenly stabbed the axe into its chest, carving its heart out.

To Rael's and Zafira's surprise, the Blue Orc proceeded to eat its heart.

Immediately, its skin changed color, taking on a faint red hue.

Rael's brows furrowed as he flew toward Zafira, landing beside her.

"It has gone berserk, I think. It's basically on a timer now, but its strength and durability is much higher."

She nodded.

"Run?"

Rael didn't even need to think twice at her suggestion as the two immediately flew into the sky.

But at the same time, an axe came hurling right at them at a speed that left them no room to dodge.

Rael turned around, his gaze hardening as he pushed Zafira to the side.

It wasn't because he was suicidal, but because he felt a certain connection with the axe that was headed toward him.

As the axe approached, it almost felt like time had begun to slow down.

The rotations began to seem linear, and the more he focused on it, the more he understood the throw itself.

As if by instinct, Rael extended his arm toward the axe that was nearly 10 times the size of his body.

Zafira yelled from the side, but he didn't react as he flapped his wings once, getting into the right position.

And once he did, a loud thud resounded throughout the spatial crack as the axe landed perfectly against his palm.

He couldn't grip it properly, but he could store it straight into his inventory, causing it to vanish.

Rael stared at his hands with a confused look until eventually, he heard a ding from the side.

The moment he turned toward it, his eyes widened.

<The Supreme Beast Bloodline is reacting!>

<You have grasped the Blue Orc's skill: Axe Throw (Rare)>

<You have gained the skill: Axe Throw (Rare)>

<You have perfectly understood the Blue Orc's fighting pattern!>

<Damage against the target increases by 50%!>
