Primordial Lust System

Chapter 46: Immunity

Boom! A mini explosion rang out as Seraphina's figure blurred from sight, microfractures spreading across the ground where she once stood, flickering right in front of Aurelian, a smirk hanging across her lips.

"Bear the weight of my aura, and see if you still want me!" She smiled, her figure encapsulated in a green sheen, the pressure of her aura slamming out of her in controlled waves.

As it did, the ground below began to cave in, cracking ever so slowly. Some of the rubble turned to dust, her emerald eyes now fully glued on the face of the youth before her, watching in growing anticipation for the smug look on his face to be washed away. But right before she could spiral deeper into her thoughts.

Aurelian inhaled sharply, his obsidian eyes locking on the figure before him. This was starting to get a little out of hand—he had stuff to do.

"So… does this piece of you you want to give me include you staring down at me?" he breathed, his brows arching, the thoughtful expression latching back onto his face. Was there something he was missing here?

"Huh?" Seraphina snapped out of her thoughts, her eyes widening in surprise that quickly morphed into shock. "Y-you… don't feel it?" she gasped, leaning forward and staring closer at the youth before her. The aura she was radiating was more than enough to crush an F-rank talent, hell, he should have long been on his knees.

Had he leveled up to E-rank? No, it didn't make sense. A quick scan revealed he was still at level 19, which was pretty impeccable given he had only been in the dungeon for a day. Or did he have a skill that negated the aura of stronger beings? Or was he just bluffing?

Overwhelmed by the weight of her curiosity, she snapped her fingers. The pressure erupting from her shot up a notch, but the youth remained unbothered. She repeated the same motions a few times, and before long, the full terror of her aura lay unleashed. The ground within a hundred meters caved in, a swirl of terror unfolded all around her, of course reigned in to a hundred meters, or the damage would have been catastrophic.

As all this unraveled, the glow in Seraphina's eyes lit up, now gleaming with an intense light. Her mouth widened as she tried to process the implication before she finally found her voice again.

"I…m…possible!!!"

If she had any doubts previously that the youth before her was the chosen one spoken of in the prophecies, they were dashed away. The feeling of petty rage blanketing her shifted to awe. If he was immune to the terror of stronger beings, then this was a game-changer in multiple scenarios. If he could do this, what else could he do that she couldn't? Her eyes now burned into him. She could only imagine his future feats, and as she processed all this, a thought took root at the back of her mind. Her gaping jaw snapped shut, a smile cracking across her lips.

"Holy fucking shit!" Aurelian breathed, his eyes scanning the carnage all around him. A realization dawning on him like a goddamn warhammer, she was releasing her aura. And the crazy bit was he wasn't fucking affected by it.

So it was more powerful than I gave it credit for, huh? he mused, drawn into his thoughts. The description of the Primordial Will of Lust surfaced at the back of his mind.

(The Primordial Will of Lust: From epochs past, the concepts of space, time, and reality have enforced their will across countless planes, but the @£#&' of Lust remains unburdened. Marked as the chosen one, you have been blessed. Your will is unsusceptible to manipulation, your presence unburdened by the aura of stronger beings. You have been crowned, O @£#&' of Lust.)*

He was fucking immune to the aura of stronger beings? He had previously assumed this innate skill would negate part of it, not every goddamn thing!

The realization sent a surge of adrenaline coursing through his body, reinforcing his decision. What about his recently upgraded talent? Would it be just as awesome as this?

A plethora of questions sparked at the back of his head, causing his face to light up. But first, he reined them all back in, shifting his attention to the lady in front of him just in time to catch her words.

"You know what? I think I'll take you up on your offer. You can have me." Seraphina muttered, her eyes glued to his, fully intrigued now by the youth before her. She would be damned to pass on the opportunity to watch him further and find out the full depths of his abilities. It was time she fully understood the monstrosity of the chosen.

"I can?" Aurelian muttered, dumbfounded. This was getting a little more complex than he had anticipated. He would have uttered some smug remark at her caving in to his demand, but he felt this time she would try much more than crushing him with her aura.

"You know what? I think I changed my mind. How about we go our separate ways? What would people think, seeing a powerful powerhouse such as you associating with an F-rank being? It wouldn't work well on your image…." Aurelian sputtered nonsense, helplessly trying to wriggle out of it. Having a beauty by his side was great, but when the beauty turned out to be an eccentric powerhouse with the ability to crush him into dust, it wasn't exactly ideal.

"You're not trying to wiggle yourself out of this?" Seraphina breathed, glancing at Aurelian amusedly, her lips twitching. Her bosom heaved at the thought of rejection again.

"No, no, no…" Aurelian breathed helplessly, cursing at his own weakness. If he was in the same rank as her, he bet he would have told her to shove her curiosity up her ass, or even better, if he was a B-rank powerhouse, he'd fight above his rank like the protagonists in an anime, manga, or manhua.

"Good, then it's established! I'm coming with you." Seraphina smirked, her eyes lighting up in satisfaction. "Don't worry, I'll not cause you any trouble," she added, noting the unease clouding his face.

"Well, that's that," Aurelian mumbled. "Since we're doing this, how about you tell me your name?" he quipped.

"Seraphina… Seraphina Voidhart," she replied almost instantly.

"Well, I'm…" Aurelian began as if to introduce himself before she cut him off.

"Aurelian Draeogor."

His eyes widened in surprise before he sighed under his breath, not even curious anymore how she knew it.

"Great, what could possibly go wrong?"

And with that, two figures headed to the city dungeons: one hidden beneath the cover of a cloak, the other a striking beauty draped in a simple white robe, softly revealing the curves rippling underneath, drawing attention wherever they passed. Yet her emerald eyes remained glued on the cloaked figure, her full attention undivided.
