Pokemon:I'm redThe strongest champion

"What I'm giving you is called a skill disc. Just close your eyes and focus on it carefully. I believe you'll soon discover the surprise I have for you."

Robert smiled at his two Pokémon, who each held a skill disc in their small hands. He didn't explain further, knowing it would be difficult for them to understand. Instead, he let them experience it for themselves.

"Wow~"

"Bo Bo~"

Following Robert's instructions, Charmander and Pidgey closed their eyes and concentrated. At first, nothing seemed to happen. Just as they were about to think the disc was useless, a sudden rush of information filled their minds.

It was as if a brand-new instinct had been awakened inside them. Without warning, they had learned something completely new. They opened their eyes, stunned.

"Wow!" (This is amazing! I feel like I just learned something new!)

"Pidgey!?" (Me too! It feels like I suddenly gained a new move!)

Charmander and Pidgey stared at their now-vanished skill discs, then turned their wide eyes toward Robert. It was as if they had witnessed some kind of miracle.

Robert chuckled at their astonished expressions. "It looks like you felt the surprise. Now, let me see what you've learned."

"Wow~"

"Bo Bo~"

Excited, the two Pokémon exchanged glances. This was no ordinary item. Robert had given them something incredible—an ability that would have taken them a long time to learn otherwise. They trusted their trainer completely, but now, their admiration for him grew even stronger.

"Alright, no need to look at me like that. I'll give you more when you've grown stronger. But for now, show me what you've mastered."

Charmander was the first to step forward. Facing the open field outside the cave, he took a deep breath and released a bright, fiery stream of flames. Unlike the small flickers of Ember he had used before, this flame was larger and more intense.

Robert's eyes widened in surprise. "Is that... Flame Jet? Though it's not at full power yet, it's already much stronger than Ember. I didn't expect Charmander to learn a move that usually requires at least level 25! This skill disc must work differently than I thought."

(Author's Note: In the Pokémon games, Flamethrower is usually learned at level 31, but in the anime, Pokémon sometimes learn moves earlier. Here, I've set it to level 25.)

Curious, Robert checked Charmander's stats using his Pokédex.

Charmander

Type: Fire

Moves: Scratch, Growl, Ember, Smokescreen, Flame Jet

Strength: Normal Peak

"So, you've reached peak Normal rank. If we compare this to game levels, you're probably around level 11-15. Considering Charmander evolves at level 16, it looks like those energy cubes are really effective."

Robert turned his gaze to Pidgey, eager to see what skill it had learned.

Pidgey

Category: Tiny Bird Pokémon

Type: Flying/Normal

Moves: Gust, Sand Attack, Tackle, Leer, Wing Attack

Strength: Normal Advanced

"Pidgey has also reached advanced Normal rank. And it learned Wing Attack? That's a solid close-combat move."

As if to show off, Pidgey took flight, soaring toward a tree in front of the cave. As it approached, its wings glowed white, and with a powerful strike, it slammed into the tree trunk, leaving a visible dent.

Robert grinned. "Excellent! You've both learned powerful moves. Once you master them, your battle potential will increase significantly. Let's keep training as we continue our journey."

"Wow~"

"Bo Bo~"

The two Pokémon chirped happily. They knew that while they had just learned these moves, they weren't fully proficient yet. To truly master them, they would need more training and real battles.

With that settled, Robert packed up their belongings, preparing to leave the cave. The morning sunlight filtered through the forest canopy as they stepped outside, ready to continue their adventure.

Their journey through the Evergreen Forest was filled with excitement. As they walked, Robert kept an eye out for wild Pokémon they could battle, giving Charmander and Pidgey a chance to refine their new skills.

After a short trek, they stumbled upon a group of wild Caterpie munching on leaves. Seeing an opportunity, Robert decided to test his Pokémon's new abilities.

"Alright, let's do some training! Pidgey, use Wing Attack! Charmander, follow up with Flame Jet!"

Pidgey took off, its wings glowing once again as it struck the first Caterpie with precision. The Bug-type Pokémon tumbled backward, clearly weakened from the hit.

Charmander wasted no time. He inhaled deeply before launching a bright burst of fire. The Caterpie scurried away, but one got caught in the flames, taking significant damage.

"Great work, you two! Keep going!"

The battle continued, with Charmander and Pidgey growing more comfortable using their new moves. After a few more battles, they were already showing improvement in their control and power.

With the sun beginning to set, Robert decided to call it a day. He set up camp, giving his Pokémon their well-deserved meals. As Charmander and Pidgey happily devoured their energy cubes, Robert couldn't help but smile.

"You both did great today. Keep this up, and we'll be even stronger in no time."

Charmander and Pidgey chirped in agreement, their bond with Robert growing deeper with each passing day. The journey was far from over, but with each step, they were becoming an unstoppable team.

As the stars lit up the night sky, Robert lay back, staring at the twinkling lights above. He had a feeling that their adventure was only just beginning.
