Pokémon: A Trainer Who Masters the Six Powers from the Start

Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Power Boost

"Persian, I'll leave this opponent to Machamp. You've grown strong enough for now," Ron said as he watched the Level 44 Poliwhirl step out of the lake.

After their previous battles, Persian's level had risen to 42, even surpassing Machamp by one level. However, the upcoming fight was just the beginning for Machamp.

Hearing Ron's decision, Machamp confidently positioned itself in front of Poliwhirl.

"Go for it, Machamp! Use Shave—Double Thunder Slash and unleash your power!"

At Ron's command, electricity surged through Machamp's left arms.

Sensing danger, Poliwhirl's eyes narrowed as it used Mud Shot to strike first.

However, as soon as Poliwhirl unleashed its move, Machamp vanished from its original spot, leaving only the sound of thunder behind.

A flash of lightning streaked across the battlefield, sending Poliwhirl flying.

Regaining its balance mid-air, Poliwhirl barely had time to react when Ron's next order rang out: "Machamp, use Moonwalk to pursue it and follow up with a throw!"

Acting swiftly, Machamp leapt into the air, grabbed Poliwhirl by the ankle, and hurled it to the ground with force.

With a reverse acceleration, Machamp dived downward, slashing at Poliwhirl with Slash. A deep wound appeared on Poliwhirl's chest, blood seeping from the gash.

The intense pain jolted Poliwhirl into full alertness.

"Machamp, use Shave—Double Thunder Slash again!"

Machamp, landing gracefully, launched another attack at Ron's command.

Despite sensing danger, Poliwhirl couldn't locate its opponent—a frustrating battle like this was something it had never encountered before.

Determined, Poliwhirl lunged toward the source of the lightning with Double-Edge, hoping for a direct clash.

Just as it approached the lightning, Machamp spun gracefully, using its speed to move behind Poliwhirl.

Executing another Double Thunder Slash, Machamp sent Poliwhirl flying once more.

Without giving Poliwhirl a chance to recover, Ron ordered another relentless assault, and Machamp decisively defeated the wild Poliwhirl with one last Shave—Double Thunder Slash.

The victory pushed Machamp to Level 42, completing its accumulated experience from earlier battles.

As Machamp stood victorious, Torchic, who had grown close to the team over the past few days, chirped happily in celebration.

After restoring Machamp's stamina, Ron carefully treated Poliwhirl's injuries.

With Poliwhirl defeated, Machamp began its path of domination.

As its power grew, Machamp became increasingly adept at controlling its strength, perfectly embodying the fusion of speed and power.

Throughout their journey, Machamp's use of the advanced Shave techniques consistently gave it the upper hand, allowing it to crush opponents and secure victory.

Watching Machamp's mastery of Shave, Ron couldn't help but recall the subtle warnings from Volkner and Flint.

The path ahead was fraught with dangers—not just from wild Pokémon but also from Pokémon Hunters and organizations like Team Rocket. Sometimes, the greatest threat could come from within.

"Human hearts are unpredictable. Someone you trust completely now could stab you in the back tomorrow."

As Machamp approached the high Elite level, Ron felt it was time to plan an escape route, a contingency for the worst-case scenario.

After another battle, Machamp's level reached 44, just one step away from Ron's target of Level 45.

Over nearly a month in the forest, Ron estimated that by the time they left, Nidorino might also reach a level sufficient for evolution into Nidoking, allowing it to better master the Six Powers.

Until then, the priority remained raising Machamp's level to meet its goal.

Without needing instructions, Kirlia, observing the team's progress, spread its psychic power and used Teleport, taking Ron and his companions to a new area.

"Machamp, use Earthquake!"

The seismic waves shook the battlefield, forcing even the Grass-type Victreebel to leap to avoid the attack. This provided Ron the perfect opening.

Combining Shave and Moonwalk, Machamp instantly appeared in front of Victreebel, using Shave—Thunder Slash to send it crashing down.

The impact, combined with the deep wound on its chest, left Victreebel in excruciating pain.

If given the chance, Victreebel would have gladly passed out rather than endure such agony.

Struggling to stand, Victreebel felt an intense heatwave approaching. Before it could react, Machamp struck with Shave—Double Fire Slash, sending it reeling again.

Without missing a beat, Machamp pursued its target, flames erupting as it unleashed another Double Fire Slash, pushing the battle to its conclusion.

As Machamp secured victory, Kirlia quietly communicated with Ron via telepathy, warning of an incoming threat.

Thanks to Kirlia's foresight, Ron relayed commands to his team, and Machamp quickly regrouped.

Just as the battle ended, a dark beam of energy filled with malice shot toward Kirlia.

Sensing the danger, Machamp used Shave to intercept the attack. Once Kirlia confirmed the team was within range, it teleported them away just in time, narrowly avoiding the dark attack.

"Clever kid… he escaped."

"Gengar, can we still catch them?"

From the shadows emerged a man clad in black, his clothes adorned with ghostly patterns.

Gengar shook its head. Against a Psychic-type's Teleport, even a Ghost-type like itself was powerless.

"That kid got lucky. If we meet him again, I'll make sure he wishes he were dead!"

As the man vented his frustration, Gengar's crimson eyes gleamed with greed.

While the man was busy expressing his resentment, Ron was already devising a plan.

Initially uncertain of his opponent's strength and unwilling to fight blind, Ron had chosen to retreat. But now that the tables were turned, he had no intention of letting the man off so easily.

If he could track the man down, Ron wouldn't hesitate to eliminate the threat.
