Plants vs Zombies the third element

Chapter 5: insert Loonboon here

-pov of GREG the ZOMBIE-

So I decided to not tell the boss, he has a lot on his plate right now dealing with his hated enemy the old guy. But the boss got a brilliant plan, I don't fully understand it even with my above average intelligence compared to fellow brother brown coats.

Since the boss has bigger problems to deal with I decided, why shouldn't and my fellow zombies deal with this particular Brainz with plants protecting it? So I reached out to wave leader Phill, I call him phill cause he doesn't have a name.

Mind you practically all of us don't have any to much intelligence except the boss, I think I'm the only one smart enough to know when a fight is un winnable.

Back to phill, he's wave leader. Basically he has the privilege of being promoted to carrying a flag with a picture of brainz on it. That or he found it on the floor, the good thing about having that flag? The others aren't smart enough to tell that the Brainz on the flag is just a picture and so follow the wave leader.

Which the wave leader leads the group they accumulated to places where brainz may actually be. I have a plan and that's using phill group to see if they can get passed the disgusting tasting plants for the walking brainz trapped in its flesh container.

Phill group has quite a decent size of….i don't know how to count. A lot let's just say he has a lot of fellow brothers in his wave, a decent portion even have cones on their heads!

As extra precaution I was able to put a bucket on phill head, surely this was enough. Now all I had to do was just sent phill shambling in the right direction, his wave following him and watch my labors pay off without having to get into danger myself.

Perhaps the highlight of my life, maybe the boss would even promote me. What could go wrong, this perhaps has to be the perfect plan. The best plan in plan making history!

-that poor fool, he has no idea what's going to happen. Anyways back to our protagonist!-

There was currently around ten zombies on his lawn, being quite easily pelted to death by pea rounds hitting various parts of the zombies bodies at high volocity to the point limbs went flying or badly bent.

The last zombie of the ten that stepped on the lawn got hit with so many peas at once he was sent flying like a ragdoll across the street landing before the second zombie hoard with his body mangled beyond repair as one of his eyes popped out of its deformed skull that was caved in all places.

Jason was still not yet used to seeing the zombies bodys get so wounded by a pea hitting it with such force. He had a feeling he would eventually wether he liked too or not, focusing now on the second wave that was coming lead by a flag zombie with a bucket on its head would make chance consider his odds.

These zombies was still quite slow, but they outnumbered him and his peas by a good portion, being that if he counted them all correctly. It was sixty zombies, forty being basic brown coats, nineteen being coneheads and the flag zombie being the only bucket head.

This wave would be a breeze if he had any snow peas or a few repeaters mixed with his peashooters. Jason figured he still had an advantage of sorts that could easily turn the tide of the fight, he did have some cherry bombs which could take out portions of that crowd of zombies.

So that's what he did, when the zombie wave came Jason would grab a cherry bomb who looked too eager to explode and threw it it towards the bucket head zombie leading the wave, the cherry bomb went flying as things seemed to slow down.

As the cherry bombs sailed through the air they would slowly hit upon the bucket zombie in the face and then promptly exploded in a quick bright flash blinding Jason briefly making he grunt in surprise and slight pain as he rub his eyes to try and get rid of the pain.

When his vision came through there was still zombies left, as well as a pile of ash where twenty zombies once stood bunch up close. Jason stared in surprise seeing the cherry bomb devasting power first hand, he used in the game before of course but seeing it first hand was a whole other experience.

He couldn't help but throw another one, he just had too for the sake of wanting to blow up some more zombies.

With twenty zombies instantly vaporized the plants a more easier time as they fired upon the zombies that still made their way onto and across the lone. A single peashooter could take down a basic brown coat with ease. It helped that Jason took out all the coneheads and the one bucket head zombie that was bunched up with each other with the cherry bomb.

With the plants numbered close to the zombies it made things less stressful for the plants. As the fighting continues while Jason grabbed the next cherry bomb he finally noticed what exactly the sunflowers did that replaced their previous role for just making currency.

The sun they was producing was being absorbed by nearby peashooters, which seemed to refreshed their energy. That was pretty cool to see, the sunflowers was basically like a support which seemed to fit them quite nicely.

As zombies was dying left and right they was making ground, getting closer to the peashooters who kept firing with determanation to protect their father figure as the sunflowers kept making sun to aid in the peas endeavors.

Unfortunately there was still some coneheads zombies that was out of the range of the cherrybombs, even more bad news but it seems any damage to the zombie wearing a cone either body shots or even face shots the damage was transferred to the cone instead.

Jason doesn't know how that logically works but he chalked it up to PVZ logic and need not question it any further, he had bigger issues and that was helping his plants. Quickly grabbing another cherry bomb Jason would throw it towards a group of zombies that was getting too close for comfort.

And quickly covered his eyes to protect himself from the brief flash of the cherry bombs explosion, uncovering his eyes revealed another pile of ash and a ruined piece of his lawn.

He didn't let his thoughts stay on the ruined piece of lawn any longer, not when there was still a decent but much more mangable group of zombies left.

There wasn't a lot to mention, same old of zombie body parts going flying. Zombies falling down, the usual plants vs zombies experience except with more gore from high volecity pea rounds impacting zombie flesh.

What was worth mentioning is that Jason had to get involved physically, while the hoard has been reduced drastically with the use of two cherry bombs reducing the ten cherry bombs Jason had now to eight. Didn't slow the hoard down as one zombie with a cone atop its head that looked like it was ready to break on the next shot was close to a peashooter.

The zombie was crouching down mouth open readying to take a bite out of the peashooter who itself was readying to fire another pea. So Jason quickly acted and swung his shovel that he brought with him as hard he could across the side of the zombie head.

There was a loud bang from metal hitting the side of the zombie head making the zombie fall to the floor on its side dazed. The peashooter and other ones would fire upon the dazed zombie, even Jason swung the shove again taking a giant grape adivce and aiming for the head.

The zombie of course was easily killed with no hope of surviving, things didn't look up for Jason just yet as he heard a cry of pain making his eyes widen and turn quickly to see another zombie that was able to start taking a bite out of the peashooter head.

Unable to get a good shot at the zombie from the angle it was force into when the zombie grabbed it. Nearby peashooters couldn't help from having to focus on the other zombies that was close by as well.

Jason didn't hesitate to come to its aid, running over raising his shovel high and swings it with all his might into the brown coat zombie side. Forcing it off the peashooter as the impact on the zombie ribs made a loud crack as it fell onto the floor.

The zombie couldn't even say brains before Jason aimed the shovel on its 'sharp' end and thrusts it downwards into the zombie exposed neck impaling it deep through its rotting flesh but stopped upon bone.

Jason simply stomped hard onto the metal of the shovel and pushed hard he could, it didn't take much to fully decapite the zombie head from its body. Jason was breathing heavy but not from being winded, he was livid that the zombie hurt his plant.

It only felt right that if it had the intent on ending his plant then he had any right to end this particular zombie.

Because he was so distract in his moment of anger he didn't notice that another zombie was nearing him, ignoring the plants since the main prize was before it. The brains in the walking meat container.

The wounded peashooter would fire a pea, missing the zombie purposely as Jason was in the way and so fired near him. Making Jason flinch instinctively as he body turned he saw the zombie reach out with its arms trying to grab him.

He would raise up his shovel turning it side ways and shoved it forward. Making the zombie bite down on the pole part of the shovel while grabbing it as well. There was a brief struggle as the zombie fought to move the shovel out the way while Jason himself was trying to keep the zombie back away from him.

Jason was acting on his fight and flight response, his heart racing from being so close death. It didn't take much to overpower the brown coat zombie, it wasn't bright nor strong either unlike a Allstar or super Brainz.

All Jason had to do was spin them around to where the zombie back was facing the peashooters who by now had taken care of the wave of zombies and fired upon the brown coat zombie.

Jason quickly let's go of the shovel and dived to the side, he did not want to get hit by a flying pea. The brown coat zombie was very much obliterated by the barrage of peas.

Not the kind of obliteration where the zombie was reduced to atoms, just a mangled body of broken bones. A missing head, death by blunt force trauma.

Jason was left panting a bit, the adrenaline slowly wearing off as he looked around his lawn. Zombie bodies, mangled with missing parts and two piles of ash. With no more zombies in sight besides the one zombie that was shuffling away out of the peashooters sight Jason would turn to his peas.

He would quickly go to the wounded peashooter missing a chunk of its plant….flesh? Flesh, it was a piece of plant flesh atop of the peashooter head.

Jason was worried if he'll have to put the peashooter down, he didn't know how to treat wounds of a plant because of a zombie decided it wanted some greens. His worries and fears for his hurt peashooter grew, even more when it hunkered down more to the floor with tears in its eyes from being in pain.

He was going to comfort his plant until a sunflower behind it produce a sun that was absorbed by the peashooter, and its wound gradually healed before Jason eyes leaving him once more surprised at the plants capabilities.

"So the sunflowers can heal with their suns too now? That's pretty cool and interesting" he mumbled in surprise while crouching before his healed peashooter, gently rubbing its head making the peashooter let out a happy sound of joy.

For those who haven't played the games, Sunflowers in PVZ can only produce Sun which that being its currency to buy more plants. That's all a sunflower can do from PVZ1 to PVZ2, he doesn't know if that changed in PVZ2 considering he hasn't played it in years nor did he ever play PVZ3.

In GW1-GW2 the sunflower could heal with a healing ray that sticks onto one target and she can drop a small potted plant that releases healing suns when absorbed.

This only confused Jason more on what was the time of events he was in, so far he's not seen any special zombies like the soldier or Pirate to let him know he's in either garden warfare timeline.

He figure he'll eventually figure that question later, right now he had to clean up this big mess on his lawn and the two holes in his lawn from the cherrybombs he threw. He honestly was starting to worry on how much power would be in the doom shroom when used.

He hopes it wouldn't be a nuclear blast, Crazy Dave wouldn't be that crazy to make a plant explosion power equal that of a nuke. Right?there is a limit to Crazy Dave crazy ness….right?

Jason began to feel a bit afraid on what the other plants are like or mainly their destructive power, so far the peas and cherrybombs have been more than what he expected.

Imagine how different a cactus is or a doom shroom. Oh boy the Doom shroom, god the doom shroom…..

Jason was going to distract himself by reparing the lawn with his plants help, that itself he was glad for which sped up the process. At the same he buried all the zombie corpses to act as fertilizer for the grass.

He was no gardener, Jason didn't know if a zombie corpse would be good fertilizer. But it was worth see if it did. He also got a new plant today as well! One of the zombies dropped a wall nut seed packet, of course Jason ripped it open and dropped into the soil, watering it.

He counted fifth teen walnuts, definitely enough to form a defensive line of sorts for he peashooters. Though he had a feeling he would need a lot more in the future when the tougher zombies come out to play.

But those thoughts was for later as when he was almost done fixing up his lawn, a car would pull up to his drive way and parked. It was obvious on who it was as Jason looked at the driver, it was crazy Dave.

And he was looking CRAZYYYY as expected.

——————-

Got busy sorry for a late upload and Jason got in on the attack this time. Sorry if the action wasn't much but I promise if I can continue this story onwards to where I envision what I want to do then things are going to get CRAZYYYY

Have a good and stay safe:p!
