Plants vs Zombies the third element

Chapter 4: more silly little man’s

Double post babyyyyyyy, thanks for the support so far guys. Means a lot, and to answer one comment

I don't see why wouldn't zombie corpses help act as fertilizer, I'm not gardener expert so someone can correct if I'm wrong. Then again this is a fanfic and realism is not fully taken seriously here for reader enjoyment. This is a PVZ fic after all:P

—————————-

It was getting dark now, more darker than usual for the fact no other house in Jason neighborhood house lights was on, he briefly wondered if people either evacuated or got their brains eaten.

He cleared his thoughts and focused on what he was going to do next. He could go inside into safety and leave his plants outside to protect the house or stay outside and fight with them.

He didn't like the idea leaving the plants to do all of the fighting, in a strange way he felt like he owe them his aid as they work to protect him. It would be risky to take them inside, only for the fact the zombies might break down his door.

Another thing he was thinking on if there would be an attack at night. On PVZ1 there was day level first, then night, then day level in the backyard, then night level in the backyard. The question he was thinking is if the zombies would follow the same attack pattern or not.

After all some game mechanics did not carry over, another thing that was adding more issues yet this one was very minor to his current dilemma. He had no clue what exact purpose the sunflower does now.

Obviously the sunflowers produce sun, he doesn't need a college degree to know that. But what does their sun do for him or other plants? He was curious on that, he'll figure it out later he had bigger problems right now.

Looking at one of his sunflowers who stared back with the happiest smile worthy of a sunflower, he thought he was seeing things as her eyes went wide like a cat trying to get it way.

Jason was a weak man's, he could not resist sunflower cutness. With a sigh and a smile on his face he would crouch besides the sunflower as all the plants around him moody seem to increase with their father figure close by.

He decided he would wait outside a bit, even as it started to get more darker than his liking. His plan was simple, wait a couple minutes outside with his plants before bringing them inside with him.

Which may take awhile having to shovel them out the dirt, then put them in a pot. That would tedious each day, but it's something he's willing to do. He's not against doing such a thing daily, he hasn't had his plants for long but he already deeply attached to the little fellas.

While thinking of ideas on how to move the plants faster from place to place it hit him. "I'm such a damn idiot, it's so simple!" He said to himself while rubbing his face.

His plants would turn their heads to look at him with a look of confusion, one peashooter even raised its eyebrow and leans in a way that Jason swear he heard some type of vine boom. After a brief like the plants went back to being on alert for any zombies while Jason has his solution for the plants lack of mobility for the present and future.

He just needed to teach his plants to uproot themselves and use their vines as legs and feet to walk. It's how in the PVZ comics moved around, though he's unsure how exactly the GW plants did it but he just figured crazy day heavily modified them to match Zomboss in the war effort that picked up.

"Come on guys, let's go inside. I know you can move" he said with a smile, waving his hand in a follow me gesture to his plants. They seemed confused which he figured was fair, they probably thought they was rooted in place, he will just have to try and see if they can.

Nothing ventured nothing gained he supposed, crouching down besides a peashooter who looked at him. Jason would start digging through the soil with his hands to loosen it up around the plant, hoping it'll help encourage the peashooter in some way to move in some form.

"I wonder what my friends are up too" he said with a sigh, he hoped they was fairing well. He wonder how Chris was doing.

-Meanwhile in another universe-

"I fucking hate my life"

Said Chris in mustard yellow power armor with yellow with black and white checks on right shoulder plate of the armor. while using cover as he and battle brothers was getting annihilated.

"Being a Lamentor sucks ass, why do we keep getting into these shitty situations, how does one space marine chapter have so much bad luck HOW?!-"

"Battle brother I don't mean to interrupt you, but the Minotaurs are getting closer to our gene seed stocks, we must regroup and stop them or die trying!"

"I wanna cry" is all Chris could say to his fellow Lamentor who felt his pain. Because that Lamentor wanted to cry too, life just wasn't fair.

-back to our usual program-

"Chris probably okay like Vitor, both of them probably playing warframe right about now" Jason said with a fond sad smile. At least he had good news to brighten up his da- well night, the plants can use their vines and leaves to walk!

The bad news was they was terrible at walking, like a baby trying to learn how to walk. That was okay though, they can learn which was all he asked from is to just try.

It was an interesting sight to behold, watching the peashooters and sunflowers wobble on their vines move across the lawn to his open door. Some nearly falling over, other did fall over.

Before he could even encourage or try to help the ones that fell over, nearby plants would use their vines to help them up. It was a good sight to behold seeing bond with one another, once the last of the plants was inside he would begin to close the door until he stopped and spotted something on the lawn floor.

It was a seed packet, the prospect of new plants excited him greatly. Nearly blinding him to just rush out and grab it, but he was able to be rational.

Looking outside from the doorway, just checking if the coast was clear. He would run outside to the seed packet picking it up and quickly ran back inside, shutting the door and locking it.

"Now let's see who do I have here….Cherrybombs. Do these guys count as suicide bombers? Cause….theyre alive and you use them as an explosive- you know what don't dive too deep into it Jason."

He said to himself, looking away from the cherry bomb seed packet to see that his plants was causing a bit of chaos in his home. A few peashooters and sunflowers was jumping up and down on the couch, a sunflower was fucking with the microwave, a couple peashooters was making their into where he kept laundry machines, and a sunflower was on his god damn roomba.

"These guys are a bunch of dubious creatures getting up to mischief. Ugh the beasts are demonic in natu- stop messing with the microwave!" Jason had to cut his little speech short when the sunflower messing with the microwave put the toaster inside it out of curiosity.

"Hey hey hey! Don't stick a fork in the outlet you'll hrr yourself or worse- don't put yourself in the blender!"

It was going to be a long night for him, considering the plants was full of energy. And needed a lot of attention, Jason was beginning to wonder how does crazy Dave handle having so many plants.

Then again he suppose being crazy comes in handy.

"Is this what being a parent feels like?" Jason asked to himself as he grabbed a peashooter away from the blender it seemed so invested in trying to get inside. It was indeed going to be a long night.

-insert Pirahna plant lullaby from Mario 64 for sleepy time-

Hour laters deep into the night Jason was planting the cherry bombs into Vases he found and filled with dirt. Once he was done, he would start heading to the couch. The plants finally tuckered themselves out, surprisingly it wasn't the peashooters that caused most of the problems but the dang sunflowers.

They seemed to just be full of endless energy, which he suppose is sorta true when they can produce sun. But finally they too tuckered out and now Jason had to sleep on the couch, the plants took the bed which was fine.

It was honestly cute, they somehow found nights caps and put it on their heads as they all laid on his bed getting comfortable. Once he himself was comfortable enough on the couch he would go to sleep, he had a feeling that the next day would be quite busy.

Jason close his eyes, he could feel himself drift asleep only to be awakened from feeling his blanket being tugged on. He nearly jolted up, it didn't help he was a light sleeper who woke up from the lightest thing. He blames school and having an alarm clock on his phone on full volume, his eyes would land on a peashooter that was doing the eye begging a pet would do to try and get their way.

It didn't take long for Jason to figure out what the peashooter wanted exactly, he also did see a problem with it and so with a tired smile he lifts up his blanket and pats the space besides him. The peashooter lets out a cheerful noise and climbed onto the couch besides Jason.

Only for the peashooter to gesture with his vines in a 'all clear' motion, as a good portion of the plants that took up Jason bed came down the stairs and eagerly made there way to him.

"Oh, oh dear" was all he could say before he was piled up on by sunflowers and peashooters who began to make themselves comfortable.

He just accepted his fate, and the plants wasn't heavy either. It was quite cozy actually, once he was fully comfortable he began to fall asleep yet again and entered a deep sleep. Well as deep of a sleep a light sleeper can go.

After a couple hours pass of good sleep, Jason would eventually wake up. Morning needs called, and unfortunately he had to leave the comfortable pile of plants around him. Which proved a little difficult from being tangled in plant vines, but he eventually would get free and without waking up the plants.

And proceeded to do his morning routine, using the bathroom and brushing his teeth. By the time he was done, the plants was already up and looked to be energized. "Bet you little guys are hungry huh?"

He asked with a smile, the response back was a bunch of nods and cheeerful smiles from the sunflowers and peashooters.

It didn't take long for Jason to whip up a nice big breakfast, just the usual pancakes and orange juice for his little plants who ate quick as if they've been starving. It was strange to say the least in watching the plants actually eat, considering plants just need sunlight, good soil, water.

But the plants made by crazy Dave seemed to feed off of other sources besides what plants need, it was an interesting sight watching a peashooter stab a pancake with a fork. It's vine wrapped around it and just shoving the pancake into its face hole.

"I wanna question your biology but at this point it's a fools errand" Jason said to the peashooter eating a pancake, more like swallowing it whole. As he watched a lump make its way down the peashooter stem/throat.

After a half hour of eating, Jason would gather up all the plants for them to head outside while he checked on the potted plants. The cherry bombs was grown and boy they looked angry, though that just seemed to be their normal look.

"At least you guys didn't blow up at the first sight of me" he said with a relived sigh while taking one of the cherrybombs outside, just as he saw the peashooters start to fire upon zombies making their way onto the lawn.

"God dammit, it's not even that long into the day yet" he said with annoyance, it was still early in the day and a small group of basic brown coats was walking on his lawn.

They was of little concern considering he had thirty six peashooters and a cherry bomb in his hand that seemed a bit too eager as if it really wanted to blow up….

What was concerning is the bigger group of zombies down the street making their way to his home, one zombie was holding a wave flag as there was some come head zombies in the group.

"Prepare yourselves guys" he told his plants as the last brown coat zombie was taken down by overwhelming fire power from the pea shooters just shredding its body with peas.

He wanted his plants ready for this second group, he could feel his nerves rising a bit. That group of zombies was of decent size to worry about but he also had some cherry bombs. He'll use them in worse case scenario, so he did have an advantage with the zombies being relative slow.

Sorry for a shit Cliff hanger here and with a potentially bad chapter, wasn't feeling 100% when I was writing this, I'll try to do better next chapter when I'm done resting up and feel more better.

Until then have a good day and stay safe:p!
