Percy Jackson - Godwyn the Golden

Chapter 24 - The Long-Awaited Moment (I)

Long Island - Camp Half-Blood.

"Damn, uncle must really be furious." Dionysus looked at the sea of monsters at the camp entrance with an annoyed tone. He had heard the nymphs' rumors, but he didn't imagine it would reach this point. Anyone could see that Hades was determined to kill Thalia.

"Lord of the Underworld has never killed a mortal before, one can see that he is truly furious." Beside Dionysus, Chiron spoke with a tone full of concern and regret. Hades had always been a just and honorable god, never killed a mortal. But now, because of Zeus's actions, the god of the underworld threw his honor in the mud in this moment of anger and hatred.

"My father can't stand still after seeing a hole." Dionysus said with a lewd laugh, mixed with a touch of sarcasm. When he said this, the sky above him became stormy instantly.

Feeling the anger hovering in the air, Dionysus shrunk a little and showed an apologetic smile. He tried to drink the wine in his hand, but magically, the purplish liquid became transparent, showing that it had turned into water.

A touch of helplessness appeared on the face of the God of Wine and Revelry, what is the greatest pain of the God of Wine? Not being able to drink wine!!!

It was such a cruel punishment…

"It was just a Nymph, he didn't need to make me protect these brats for a hundred years…" Dionysus said with an annoyed tone while drinking the water with a bitter expression.

Chiron ignored the deity's complaints. His eyes were focused on the most terrifying monsters Hades hid in the realm of the dead. A worried look crossed his face, he didn't know if the small demigods could survive something like this.

A determined look appeared on Chiron's resolute face, he would protect these children, even if he had to offend the King of the Dead.

Looking at his face, Dionysus knew what Chiron wanted to do. "It's better to give up, these demigods are dead." He said with an indifferent tone, not caring about the fate of his half-sister.

Chiron looked at Dionysus and said with a calm tone. "My lord, have you forgotten that you were once a fragile and mortal demigod? Even before the queen of the heavens, I fought to protect you."

Dionysus's face stiffened at Chiron's words, he looked at the centaur, who was his uncle, with a helpless look. A trace of hatred appeared in his eyes at the mention of Hera, but he quickly hid it.

"You stupid centaur. I will not offend my uncle because of this mortal half-sister of mine." Dionysus said, disappearing into a purple smoke. He really didn't want to offend Hades, the most terrifying god in Greece.

Chiron looked at Dionysus's exit and murmured. "You still don't hide your emotions very well, Dionysus."

In the Greek pantheon, almost all demigods related to Zeus deeply hated Hera, Dionysus was no different, as Hera had killed his mother, Semele. Although Semele was saved and became immortal, Dionysus's hatred never dissipated. Perhaps the only demigod who truly liked Hera was Jason, whom the goddess herself admired.

"Damn, things are worse than I imagined." Godwyn said, looking at the sky covered with gray clouds. Thunder could be heard resounding throughout the environment. Blue lightning fell on the earth like gigantic spears of electricity.

At the same time, a cold and deadly atmosphere seemed to collide with the sky's storm. Zeus and Hades began their conflict. Even not being the target of the Lord of the Underworld's wrath, Godwyn could hear the lament of the dead and the breath of the underworld hovering in the air.

Thalia could also feel this and showed a worried look, knowing that all this was her fault. She clenched her fists and lightning surrounded her figure, showing that she was extremely furious at this moment.

"Do you hate the King of the Underworld?" Godwyn asked with a gentle tone.

"Yes." Thalia didn't hesitate and replied with a terribly angry tone. "Instead of him facing the real culprit, he blames me."

"I DIDN'T ASK TO BE BORN, HADES." Thalia's angry voice echoed in the car, making even the atmosphere stop for a moment. "FUCK YOU AND YOUR DAMN REVENGE!!!!"

Godwyn seemed to hear an exhausted sigh, slightly guilty and tinged with a silent anger. He knew that Hades had heard Thalia's words, but he didn't show anger towards the girl.

Godwyn smiled, appreciating Thalia's courage in daring to mention the Lord of the Underworld's name. Many gods didn't even dare to pronounce the King of the Dead's name. Even if it was for a moment of stress, having the courage to do something like that was for few.

Looking at the sky, Godwyn noticed that the fight between Hades and Zeus got even worse, the clouds looked like two gigantic eyes. This scene was different from the books, because Hades and Zeus didn't face each other personally, but because of his existence, things became even more chaotic.

"Will there be a civil war?" Godwyn murmured to himself. He didn't think Athena could calm Hades. As for asking the arrogant king of the gods to calm down? Have you ever seen a divine king bow his head and apologize?

Zeus preferred to go to war than to take a step back and apologize to his older brother, so the civil war between Heaven and the Underworld was a very worrying reality for the Greek deities. Even if the gods despised Hades, they had to admit something, the King of the Dead was terribly powerful.

"Have you calmed down?" Godwyn asked, looking at the silent Thalia.

Thalia nodded and sighed, her eyes couldn't be calmer at this moment. "If Hades wants to take me to the Underworld, I'll show him I'm not a fucking pawn that can be killed so easily."

Godwyn's lips curled into a smile, Thalia's courage was growing, but that was good, especially with the war that was about to happen.

"Don't worry, we'll survive. Like you, I'm not so easy to kill." Godwyn said with a smile, instead of being worried about the approaching battle, he was quite excited.

'My plans can start early…' Godwyn thought, his false death had to be realistic enough for the Norse Gods to believe it.

Although it was a cruel plan for his friends, he promised himself that he would apologize to everyone. He would even give his friends a divine position.

-

Two extremely tall men stared at each other with silent fury. The air between them seemed so rarefied and heavy that it would kill a mortal in seconds.

Zeus was very tall, imposing, and very muscular, with shoulder-length black hair and a well-trimmed gray and black beard. He has bright electric blue eyes with a serious and proud, but very beautiful face.

On the other hand, Hades was a very tall, imposing, and muscular god, with albino white skin (due to the little time he spent under sunlight), intense black eyes that "glow like frozen pitch," genius or madman's eyes, with a mesmerizing and evil charisma, shoulder-length black hair, with bangs usually covering most of his forehead.

The King of the Dead had an aura that made you believe you could do anything by his side. As for Zeus, he had a powerful, regal, and royal aura. One a silent king while the other was an arrogant king.

"Hades, do you really want to start a war?" Zeus asked with an arrogant, cold, and furious tone. The King of Olympus's temper was as explosive as lightning itself.

If someone heard Zeus, they would think he was the victim, as it seemed he was being forced to retaliate.

"War?" Hades seemed to hear something funny, he looked at his younger brother and said with a sarcastic tone. "Do you have the courage to start this war?"

"Do you think Poseidon will side with me or with you?" Hades asked again. There was deep sarcasm in his voice.

"But I will answer your question, brother." Hades said, without waiting for Zeus's answer.

"Let the war begin, you arrogant, hypocritical, paranoid, and mentally ill bastard." Hades's voice echoed throughout the sky and earth. All divine beings in the Greek Pantheon heard the Lord of the Underworld's words.

Along with the voice of the God of the Dead, cracks opened in the earth as the dead rose, letting out roars. Hades didn't need subordinate gods, he had all the dead as his army.

Hades was furious, blind, and angry. He just wanted to vent all the injustices he suffered over tens of thousands of years.

"HADES!!!" Hades's words made Zeus completely furious. The Master Bolt in his hand exploded in a dazzling glow. A gigantic blue and white lightning bolt collided with Hades in an instant.
