Paper Paper Fruit In One Piece

Chapter 469: Chapter 469: King of Angels – The Final Battle Begins

Holy Land Mary Geoise.

"Damn it! Stop right there, Imu!!"

"Heh, Joy Boy. I've already figured out the weakness of your power-up move. You're no threat to me anymore—"

Luffy's Gear Fifth was ridiculously strong. Right now, any top fighter in the world would have a hard time against him for ten seconds. Even the strongest warlords and admirals could get completely overwhelmed if they weren't careful!

But against Imu, who had been lurking for 800 years, it still wasn't enough.

Imu darted through the sky at incredible speed, even slipping between dimensions. Luffy couldn't keep up in Gear Fourth, and while Gear Fifth gave him the strength, the massive energy drain left him open to counterattacks. As for Gear Second and Gear Third? Those weren't even worth mentioning.

"Roman! Take me up there!"

...The only response Luffy got was a series of deafening explosions!

Every time Neo stepped forward, flames and ice exploded beneath his feet, propelling him forward at terrifying speed. At the same time, he used the Door-Door Fruit to blink across space, chasing Imu down.

The two of them flickered through the sky, constantly repositioning with advanced Observation Haki predicting each other's moves. Their figures in white suits and dresses danced across the sky—

But this wasn't a graceful waltz. It was a deadly battle filled with fire, ice, space-ripping slashes, and haki-infused collisions, leaving Luffy both anxious and frustrated.

"Ahhh!! If only Roman were here—!"

Luffy had maxed out his attack and defense, reaching the absolute limit of this world.

But what was the point if he couldn't land a hit?

Imu and Neo fought like high-speed aerial mages, mixing mobility with devastating long-range attacks.

Unlike past bosses the Straw Hat Crew had faced, they weren't the kind to suddenly forget they were magic users and charge in for a fistfight. Even Logia users had done that before, getting caught up in Luffy's brawling style...

BOOM!!

A series of deep tremors made everyone on the battlefield pause for a moment. The shaking wasn't particularly strong, but it had a unique, drawn-out rhythm, as if the entire world was trembling. The strange magnetic field in the air made people restless.

No doubt about it—

"It's started."

The Earth's magnetic poles were now shifting at one in ten thousand.

High above, Imu continued dodging and maneuvering, in no rush to settle the fight with Neo or Luffy. She had time to wait.

But the others didn't.

"So, Neo," Imu said, watching the world crumble. "What will you do now?"

The land shook, the sea beneath the Red Line churned violently, and flaming meteors rained from the sky, painting a scene straight out of the apocalypse.

"Tch, like I care if the whole world dies!"

While Neo might have been able to say something that bold, Roman didn't see it that way.

Neo's real strength came from combining different abilities with hand-to-hand combat, whereas Roman specialized in paper constructs. If Neo tried to "merge" with Luffy, he'd only get in the way.

So at the very least, they had to force out—

The Heavenly King!

"Hmph, another bunch of reckless fools?"

Blocking the elevator platform, the Supreme Commander "Kong" stood like an immovable wall, facing off against the unruly crowd.

At the same time, he noticed another large group of powerful presences approaching fast.

Just as he was about to unleash his "Military Fist: Invincible Battleship" the moment they appeared—

The next second, his eyes widened in shock at the unbelievable sight before him!

"Damn it—"

!? "Those are… Luffy's Grand Fleet…?"

As the Whitebeard Pirates soared to the same level as the platform, what they saw was the battered and bruised Straw Hat Grand Fleet.

And among them—

An old man, swinging his fists as he fought against a gang of delinquents.

"Commander Kong?!"

"Oh, crap—"

"Uh… What do we do now?"

Before the Whitebeard Pirates' commanders could even get a clear look at the old man, the nearby group of second-generation Marines let out wails of despair—

And called out his name.

The Supreme Commander of the World Government's army—

"Steel Bone" Kong!

"No way, this old guy is still this energetic?"

The commanders were completely stunned.

Kong was a whole generation older than Whitebeard, yet two years ago, Whitebeard had been hooked up to IV drips just to stay alive.

Meanwhile, Kong was still here, full of energy, beating people down like it was nothing.

Marine logistics were on another level.

"What are you little punks doing here? Trying to start a rebellion?!"

As Kong turned to face them, the second-generation Marines were crushed under the sheer pressure of his presence, status, age, and strength.

Forget fighting—they couldn't even speak.

Fortunately—

"Leave this to me."

Transforming from his massive serpent form into a human, Bolkin took one look at the tightly blocked elevator platform—

And stepped forward to face "Steel Bone" Kong.

???

"Wait, this guy…"

Ace instinctively reached out to stop him, but Isuka tugged at his sleeve.

"Let Bolkin handle it."

"Huh?" Ace blinked.

Bolkin was a Marine officer with decent strength, and his Devil Fruit was a rare Mythical Zoan.

But still—

"Yeah, yeah~~"

"Just leave it to Big Bro Bolkin! We should sneak out… and hurry to the scene to rescue people!"

The second-generation Marines of Unit 211 were already slipping along the walls toward the plaza.

The Whitebeard Pirates, still puzzled, decided to follow.

Even the battered Straw Hat Grand Fleet hesitated only briefly before quietly sneaking away.

Because—

"Sorry, old man!"

Bolkin really did manage to hold back the Supreme Commander of the World Government's army.

Though his choice of words…

"You bastard! I'm gonna beat the crap out of you!"

"...Let's move too."

Watching the two of them brawl—or rather, stage a "family dispute" on the sidelines—

The delinquent commander silently led his men toward the center plaza of Mary Geoise.

"What the hell is Kong doing?"

Since the Marines were blatantly slacking off, the Five Elders had no choice but to roll up their sleeves and "teach these troublemakers a lesson" themselves.

And to be fair, their strength was worthy of their status—

All five of them had reached the threshold of Admiral-level power!

They were actually pushing back the Straw Hat Crew and the Charlotte Family's allied forces.

But then—

"Luffy-senpai~~ We're here to help!!"

"What a terrifying battlefield… It's full of powerful fighters—I'm getting fired up!!"

As the bruised and battered Straw Hat Grand Fleet joined the battle—along with the Whitebeard Pirates and the Bùliángrén—the sheer number of fighters quickly pushed back the Five Elders, the Holy Land guards, and CP0. After all, under normal circumstances, Marine forces were usually present, so Mary Geoise never needed that many guards. Otherwise, Fisher Tiger wouldn't have been able to break in and rescue thousands of slaves by setting the place on fire.

"Lord Imu!"

Hearing the Five Elders calling for help from below, Imu glanced down at them with a look of disgust. Then said coldly, "Is this all part of your plan too, Neo—?"

Well, since you want this, I'll give it to you. Imu reached out and grabbed something in the air, and a thick book suddenly appeared in her hand, making Neo's eyes narrow. It was here:

"Come forth, my angel army!"

*Whoosh—*

Suddenly, as the book opened, a blinding light filled the sky above Imu. Two dazzling beams of light—one vertical, one horizontal—cut across the heavens, forming a giant glowing cross burned into the sky. In this doomsday-like scene, it looked both majestic and holy.

"Tch, how dramatic. Even if it was my idea in the first place..."

Neo scoffed, clearly annoyed. And from the massive glowing cross in the sky, blazing lights like shooting stars tore through the sky and fell one by one. Inside each beam was a warrior angel covered in golden armor, holding swords, staffs, and other weapons as they descended in a swirl.

"Holy, holy, holy!"

"Lord of Hosts, Celestial Dragon God, your glory fills the earth! You stand above all kings and are worthy of fear!"

The angels quickly formed tight, disciplined combat squads. With wings spread wide, they circled around and protected Vice Admiral Imu in the middle. Thousands upon thousands filled the sky. But what really stood out:

"Whoa, all of them have Haki like The White Knight?"

Hearing Luffy's surprised voice, Neo rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, this is the air force I once designed. And the book in Imu's hand is the ancient weapon known as 'Heaven King.'"

King of Angels!

"I actually named it 'The Book of Gods'..."

But Imu totally rejected that name and even took away the naming rights.

Neo mumbled the last part and shook his head. No point arguing about that now. What matters is: "Leave the rest to me."

He dropped the arrogant, over-the-top attitude and turned into Roman's usual serious—well, almost deadpan—expression.

"Roman?!"

"It's me."

The reason they switched personalities now is simple: Neo is better at close combat and buffing himself, while Roman is the expert at creating things with superpowers. Plus, Neo could never coordinate well with Luffy. So the upcoming fight—

"Heeheehee~ Hurry, get me up there! Let's smash Imu!"

"Yes, yes."

But before that:

"Eternal Ground!"

Roman clapped both hands on the ground, and suddenly a swarm of The White Knights rose from the rubble-strewn battlefield. Even though they didn't match the angel army in the sky in numbers or power, Roman never expected to take on the 'Heaven King' alone anyway.

"Nami! I'm leaving my army to you—"

Whoosh!

Before Nami could even respond, Roman's body dissolved into countless sheets of white paper, wrapping around Luffy. Then—

*Flash!*

Two pure white wings suddenly spread wide! As Luffy and Roman merged into the "Angel Rubber Knight" and shot into the sky, Imu pointed downward.

"Aside from my servants, every single one of them is an enemy. Angel Army—eliminate them all!"

Pirates, royals, Marines—none were spared.

"So this is the Celestial King…"

"Thousands, no, millions of puppet warriors with insane bounties… wiping out the world would be effortless for them, huh?"

As the Angel Army swooped down, the warriors below couldn't help but be awed.

Was this the true power of the Celestial King?

With an unstoppable charge, the angels plunged into battle. Sacred hymns echoed across the battlefield, blending into a sea of golden light. Meteors rained down, the earth quaked, and the oceans roared—Mary Geoise was drowning in divine radiance.

But beneath that holy and majestic scene lay nothing but brutal slaughter and endless death!

Every second, hundreds of pirates, royal guards, and even Marine officers were cut down by the angels! Blood painted the ground red. At the same time, some of the angels were shattered by powerful warriors, their bodies breaking into countless pieces of white paper and dissolving into the air.

The true final battle had begun!
