Chapter 468: Chapter 468: Destroy the World—All Forces Gather

The World: ???

Go ahead and fight, but why do you all keep trying to destroy me?!

Of course, most threats to destroy the world usually meant wiping out humanity at most.

And even then, humanity was so stubbornly resilient that complete destruction was nearly impossible. After all, humans had one of the strongest survival instincts in the entire biosphere.

But still—

"I know you're just trying to provoke me, Neo."

Wrapped in layers of space barriers and Haki, the once furious Im suddenly calmed down, spreading her arms.

"But I've waited eight hundred years for this day. Honestly, being immortal is pretty boring. I've spent my time reminiscing in the 'Flower Between Worlds' just to pass the time... I should thank you, Neo. You gave me something to wait for. So—"

"Right now! I'll give you exactly what you wanted!!"

As Im floated into the air, her cold gaze swept over Neo and Luffy below. As for the Marines, pirates, and kingdom forces around them? She didn't even consider them worth looking at.

"Neo, do you remember when you told me how to *destroy* a world?"

In an instant, Neo's face darkened.

"I should've never run my mouth with all those crazy ideas back then..."

"Too late!"

Im reached out, and at that moment, everyone watching felt as if they were looking at a legendary empress—a ruler who had once dominated the entire world!

Strength, strategy, intelligence, willpower—Im had it all. With her schemes and alliances, she built the World Government that ruled the seas, making the entire world bow before her.

The undisputed god of the Celestial Dragons, who had reigned for eight hundred years.

Countless heroes had fallen before her.

And when a god is enraged, millions will die in an instant, their blood turning rivers red.

But—

Seconds passed.

Nothing happened.

The battlefield was silent as the strongest fighters stood ready, glancing at each other in confusion.

Where was the attack? The explosion? The lightning? The tsunami?

There wasn't even a sound.

"Eh? What just...?"

Luffy, puzzled, suddenly bent down and picked up a rock, tossing it in his hand.

"Weird..."

Meanwhile, Zoro, who was locked in a standoff with Fujitora, felt a sudden shift in the gravity around him.

It wasn't Fujitora making a move—his power was being disrupted by something.

"I really screwed myself over!!!"

Neo cursed.

The nonsense he had bragged about eight hundred years ago—Im had actually made it real!

Fantastic. Just fantastic. Not.

"What the hell is—?"

Flap!

A white pigeon landed on Nami's shoulder. She had felt something was off but couldn't explain why.

The pigeon: 'Roman No. 1.'

"To put it simply, the magnetic field of the entire world is being altered. The result? Objects are losing their normal weight.

Right now, the effect is only at a fraction of a percent...

But if it passes a critical point, the planet's magnetic field will become unstable, leading to worldwide natural disasters.

This move...

This move is called 'Geomagnetic Reversal!'"

Neo glared at Im.

He had expected her to pull off something like tectonic plate disruption—a powerful but still manageable attack.

But this?

A full-scale geomagnetic reversal?!

They say Devil Fruits aren't scary.

But a Devil Fruit user with knowledge? That's terrifying.

A normal planet's natural geomagnetic reversal takes thousands of years. It happens so slowly that living creatures don't even notice it.

But if the magnetic field of an entire planet was suddenly changed in a short period of time...

"Don't think a fraction of a percent sounds small. The Moon's gravitational pull on Earth is only about one-thirty-thousandth of Earth's gravity—yet it still affects the tides.

Even in this world, the principle is the same."

The pigeon quickly explained to the Straw Hat Crew, who hadn't yet grasped how serious the situation was.

"Even a small change like this can already mess with ocean tides, currents, and airflows on a global scale."

"So if the world's weight is reduced by one ten-thousandth, hurricanes, tsunamis, and earthquakes will be unavoidable."

"If it drops by one thousandth, countless species will go extinct, and civilization itself will collapse."

"And if it reaches just one hundredth—even for a moment—it'll be a disaster that completely destroys the planet."

"And before that happens..."

"The appetizer is here."

The pigeon lifted its wing and pointed upward.

Everyone instinctively looked to the sky.

The Charlotte family, the other battlefield powerhouses, and even the Marine elites all followed suit.

Then—

A deep, rolling thunder rumbled, growing heavier and louder.

Above them, the storm clouds that Nami had gathered in battle were pressing lower and lower—

Like a giant, suffocating curtain descending toward the earth.

Then—

When the distortion reached its limit—

Rip.

Tear.

The sky itself seemed to break apart.

Through the chaos of swirling, churning clouds—

A massive meteor, burning in blinding red flames, tore through the heavens.

Crushing everything in its path, it plummeted toward the battlefield.

"Holy crap, Fujitora—what are you doing?!"

The meteor was falling—heading straight for Marine's location!

"It's not me, but—"

As Fujitora spoke, he drew his cane sword and slashed at the sky.

"Gravity Blade: Slant Strike!"

The moment his blade cut through the air, the massive, fiery meteor suddenly veered off course, crashing into the ocean instead.

BOOM!!!

A towering tsunami erupted, spreading in all directions. The nearby town with its bubble elevators was at risk, and even the new Marine headquarters, kilometers away, might not escape the impact—

"Ice Age!"

A flash of white light swept across the sea, instantly freezing the monstrous wave into a towering glacier. Even the meteor itself was encased in ice.

Standing on a pirate ship, Aokiji let out a cold breath.

"Man, don't just throw stuff around like that."

"Kuzan, are we really going…?"

A few former captains from Blackbeard's crew glanced up at the storm-covered peak of the Red Line, where the meteor had just been "tossed" down from.

This battlefield, filled with disasters beyond human control… Was this really a place people could step foot in?

Because of a certain fearless 'Big News' reporter broadcasting live, the whole world knew what was happening in the Holy Land:

A world-class battlefield!

Compared to this, the Summit War two years ago was nothing.

"Well, if you don't want to…"

The pirates looked relieved—until Aokiji suddenly changed his tone.

"Then I'll just deal with you right here. You know what happens to 'useless' pirates, don't you?"

There weren't many old pirates, for two reasons.

One, constant battles, sea monsters, and extreme weather meant most didn't live long enough to grow old.

Two, the ones who did often got 'taken care of.'

If someone was feeling merciful, they might abandon them on a deserted island.

If not… they'd make them 'walk the plank.'

"Ahem! For world peace! For the happiness of the people!—In the name of justice! Charge!!"

Faced with a choice between almost certain death and instant death by freezing, the pirates' decision was easy.

Shouting a mix of messy slogans, they leaped from their ships and charged across the ice.

The other forces quickly reacted as well.

"We're going too."

In the chaotic town below the Red Line, watching the battle unfold on the live screen, the bandaged vice-commander tore off the wrapping on his left hand.

"The Road to Shu is harder than climbing the sky!"

One by one, glowing words floated from his skin, sticking onto the sheer cliffs of the Red Line.

The rogue warriors leaped up, stepping on the words as if they were solid ground, racing toward Mary Geoise.

The onlookers were left speechless.

"We're heading out too."

Emerging from a ship from Wano, Ace put away his Den Den Mushi.

Behind him, the commanders of the Whitebeard Pirates followed.

But that method of climbing…

Even Marco couldn't carry all these muscle-bound men!

Ace's eyes landed on the rising platform, where pirates were already being knocked off—

"Ace!!"

Thud!

A Marine officer suddenly threw herself into Ace's arms.

Nearby, Diamond Jozu, who had just raised his fist, awkwardly turned it into a head scratch instead.

"Sob sob sob~~ Ace!"

"I thought you were dead! Why… why didn't you tell me?!"

The 'Iceberg Nail' of Marine Unit 211 was crying her heart out, leaving the burly men of the Whitebeard Pirates exchanging glances.

Uh… this is awkward.

Ace scratched his head, looking just as uncomfortable.

Then, Bolkin ran over, interrupting Isuka's sobbing.

"I know this isn't the best time, but—"

"The boss is in serious trouble!"

By 'boss,' Bolkin meant Roman.

And as soon as he spoke, a group of heavily armed Marine officers rushed in—

They were all second-generation Marines under Roman's command.

"Pirates?"

"Marines?"

"Wait, they're not enemies!"

Ace and Bolkin shouted in unison, glancing at each other.

Bolkin nodded first.

"You handle your people—I'll explain to mine."

"These Marines are Roman's subordinates. They came here to help their boss, so for now, they're on our side..."

"These pirates are the boss's friends. They came here to rescue Straw Hat Luffy. They're not our enemies..."

After Ace and Bolkin explained the situation, both sides reluctantly reached an understanding. But—

"Damn it! Isuka is the goddess of our Unit 211! And now she's with you, a pirate... sob, sob~~"

"Unbelievable! Just because you're one of the Four Emperors, you think you're so great? Sure, you're a little stronger and a little cooler than me, but still..."

"Stop embarrassing yourselves!"

Bolkin's thunderous voice came from below as the captains of the Whitebeard Pirates and the officers of Marine Unit 211 stood atop a massive creature.

It was a giant serpent-dragon with wings growing from its ribs—

A Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit user: Snake-Snake Fruit, Soaring Serpent Form.

"The battlefield above is in chaos, and you're here arguing? That so-called 'God of the Celestial Dragons' is completely insane! No matter what, I'm standing with the boss! Any personal grudges can wait until this is over!"

The enormous serpent, as large as a battleship, turned its head to Ace. Bolkin flicked his tongue, which was as thick as a ship's mast.

"Ace! If you dare betray Isuka's feelings, Marine Unit 211 will never let you off! Even if you're one of the Four Emperors, I can still make your life miserable!"

"Don't worry."

Ace, holding Isuka's hand, nodded.

"If anyone wants to hurt Isuka, they'll have to step over my dead body first!"

Ever since coming back from the dead, Ace's outlook had completely changed. A man can't live just for so-called freedom and adventure—family and responsibility were what Whitebeard had always wanted him to understand.

Lovers, friends, brothers... I'll protect them all!

PS: Yamato sees herself as a man, so she only considers Ace a close brother. The official pairing is Ace and Isuka~~
