Only I Walk Alone

Chapter 93 - Countless Experiments

A new virtual universe was born, no larger than a soccer ball. As time passed, this universe kept expanding, driven by the initial burst of Creative Force applied by Wu Ge. However, as the universe expanded, the impact of that Creative Force gradually diminished until it disappeared altogether, along with the nascent universe, leaving the void dark, silent, and vast once again.

The entire experiment lasted less than five seconds, leaving the observing scientists in shock.

Xiao Chao informed Wu Ge, “The entire process has been recorded. Within those five seconds, the small universe gave birth to over three hundred and fifty-seven civilizations, all of which perished.”

Wu Ge, puzzled, asked, “How could so many civilizations arise within just five seconds?”

Xiao Chao explained, “To us, only five seconds passed, but for the small universe, trillions or even hundreds of trillions of years had elapsed.”

Perspective matters, and Wu Ge hadn’t expected that he would create a universe that would disappear so casually.

However, this universe was purely imaginary, brought into existence by Wu Ge’s imagination. Its birth was an accident, and its destruction, inevitable.

Following the destruction of this micro-universe, scientists gathered data on the four fundamental forces, but the experiment was far from over.

For the second experiment, Wu Ge was to double the intensity of the fifth force, the Creative Force, from the first experiment.

After waiting about ten seconds, Wu Ge commenced the second experiment, creating a universe twice the size of a soccer ball, which also ceased to exist after ten seconds.

After obtaining a new set of data from this second attempt, it was clear more experiments were needed due to the presence of unknown variables in Wu Ge’s creative process. A total of five experiments were planned, with the intensity of the Creative Force doubled each time. This was necessary to discern the relationship between the fifth force and the other four fundamental forces.

This wasn’t a simple matter of solving a five-variable equation but deciphering a complex cosmic code, requiring considerable time for analysis and verification.

After completing the fifth experiment, Wu Ge initiated a sixth, identical to the first, not for new data but to minimize experimental error through repetition. This process was to be repeated ten times, with all collected data averaged, medianed, and variance-analyzed to reduce error.

With inevitable errors in experimental data, repetition was crucial for accuracy.

After fifty experiments, they took a brief rest before starting another round, this time planning a minimum of five thousand experiments to achieve precise data.

Given that the Unified Field Theory represented a fundamental truth of the universe, they proceeded with utmost care.

Wu Ge tirelessly conducted the experiments, repeating the process over and over until completing five thousand trials.

With the completion of these five thousand experiments, Azhen’s approach to the Unified Field Theory took its first step. Yet, this was just the beginning. Next, they needed to organize the gathered data and start deriving the unified field equation for the five fundamental forces.

This task is no easy feat. In mathematics exams, we are given sufficient data and a defined range for the formulas, but the unified field equation is boundless!

However, for the scientists who are on the brink of a breakthrough, no matter how difficult the task, they are determined to solve it.

Numerous scientists dedicated themselves to this intense task, and many mathematicians were invited to assist in the calculations at the research institute.

The Earth civilization was only a step away from mastering the Unified Field Theory. Discovering this equation would elevate their civilization to a stellar level!

While all scientists and mathematicians focused on solving this complex problem, Wu Ge ordered Xiao Chao to construct a massive Unified Field Theory research base on Venus. This facility was meant for practical applications of the Unified Field Theory. Once the equation was derived, they planned to conduct a real-world creation experiment at this Venus base.

Everyone awaited this day, and Azhen prepared to receive the highest honor, the Nebula Award. If her method proved successful in deriving the unified field equation, she would become a hero of Earth’s civilization, her name eternally recorded in history books.

From an unknown folk scientist, Azhen catapulted to the pinnacle of the scientific community by merely proposing a possibility that no one else had thought of.

In reality, inspiration, creativity, and sudden brilliant ideas are often more valuable than anything else.

This holds true in the scientific community, the business world, and even in the cultural sphere.

With just one idea, Azhen successfully entered the upper echelons of society, cleverly keeping herself out of the equation derivation and experimental processes. She understood her strengths and didn’t attempt to monopolize the entire endeavor.

She knew that credit should not be hoarded by one person alone. Coming from humble beginnings, she valued this principle deeply. After proposing the fifth force, she remained low-profile, living a life of leisure even as she joined the ranks of top scientists.

Azhen understood that if her proposed method failed to yield the Unified Field Theory, everything she currently enjoyed could vanish. Thus, she fully embraced her current lifestyle.

As time passed, and after about six months of calculations, a plausible equation was derived.

To verify its accuracy, scientists immediately embarked on a journey to Venus, where they would conduct experiments. If they succeeded in manipulating the other three fundamental forces using electromagnetic force, the equation would be considered nearly correct, if not entirely accurate.

To ensure safety, Wu Ge personally attended the experiment. The rest of the Earth civilization quietly prayed, echoing the excitement felt centuries ago during the launch of the first rocket. They awaited this moment with immense anticipation.

The advancement of civilization and the prosperity of their race are the desires of all civilized beings. They all yearned to see their civilization grow strong and overcome unimaginable challenges.

Everyone thought to themselves: It must succeed!
