One Piece: Revenge of the Slaves

Chapter 103: OPRS: Chapter 103

Everyone was excited when Alistair mentioned a revolutionary army in the East Blue with the same goals, and even stronger fighting capabilities. Alistair had built this force, but everyone had witnessed its youth—it was still a tender sprout, easily broken by a little wind and rain. But now, Garp's son was their comrade; in the distant East Blue, they had a powerful ally. This was incredibly encouraging.

Ace was especially elated, filled with an inexplicable joy. But Alistair's words brought him back to reality.

"Sabo isn't just a staff member; he's the Revolutionary Army's second-in-command, incredibly strong, probably on par with Sandersonia? I don't know the specifics; I only know his Observation and Armament Haki are excellent."

"The result of a fight with him? You'd probably get beaten up."

Alistair's words filled Ace with urgency; as the older brother, he'd never considered losing to a brother who'd been "dead" for over a decade. He recalled their duels ten years ago—he'd mostly won (a lie). But if Sabo had trained hard for ten years, and Ace hadn't improved, he might get soundly defeated. Where was a brother's dignity?!

Ace immediately started training harder. He didn't seek out Dalton or Hancock, but Alistair: "Help me! Alistair! You must know how to quickly improve my strength!"

Ace clasped his hands, almost begging Alistair for guidance. This wasn't because Dalton was stronger; she could still defeat Enel and another Logia user. But Alistair could offer more help. The technique of becoming a fire-human, becoming massless, and propelling himself with flaming feet was Alistair's idea.

Lifting a 70-80kg person requires significant force; while Alistair's world had personal flight devices like Iron Man's, capable of crossing small straits, everyone knows the thrust of a turbofan engine. It's better to become elemental, leaving only the feet for propulsion. The speed is astonishing; the speed and acceleration match Enel's lightning form. Given similar reaction times, the lower-mass Ace has an advantage.

Enel stayed with Alistair, fulfilling his "captive" duties, observing Alistair's methods. Alistair's methods were new and impressive. This wasn't significant for ordinary people, but it was fascinating for intelligent individuals. Ordinary people didn't understand population booms. But Alistair anticipated this. They'd never seen such theories. Their continued interest in Alistair was natural.

Enel watched Ace plead with Alistair, his gaze sharp. He remembered Ace's novel movement techniques; Alistair had taught them?

"To win, train your physical techniques. I only know Sabo is strong, but not his Devil Fruit; develop your physical techniques and Logia abilities."

"Armament and Observation Haki take time, but you can use your flames to accelerate."

"If your acceleration is insufficient, use flames; speed is power; with sufficient speed and Armament Haki, your speed and attack power will be terrifying."

"If you still lose, give up."

Ace was overjoyed; Alistair hadn't disappointed him. Watching Ace disappear, propelled by flames, Alistair smiled; Ace was going to level up using forest animals. This Fire Fist Ace would be fundamentally different.

"What about lightning?" Enel, observing, finally spoke.

"Lightning?" Alistair turned, surprised. "You can figure that out yourself."

Enel had excellent control over his abilities; he had almost no opponents—except for Luffy's rubber body; otherwise, the heat would have turned Luffy to ash. Non-conductivity doesn't mean non-heat conductivity.

Enel's strength was immense; his defeat was due to plot, information disparity, and the three-year time gap. Alistair didn't treat Enel as a captive; he treated him equally. Enel, seeing Ace and Hancock, understood.

Enel paused. "I want your opinion." He acted like a tsundere, outwardly dismissive but interested in Alistair's opinion.

"I think you're limited by the word 'lightning.'"

Alistair smiled, offering his answer directly. His answer was vague, making Enel frown.
