Chapter 27: 《One Piece: Magma of Absolute》Chapter 27: Overwhelmed Pirates

Aboard the warship, once all the pirates had fled ashore, the adjutant shot a questioning glance at Sakazuki.

Sakazuki gave a slight nod. The adjutant swung his arm and barked his orders.

"All hands!"

"Cease fire!"

"Prepare for close combat!"

"Yes, sir!!"

The Marines replied in perfect unison—standard practice under Sakazuki's command. Once the pirates' escape route was sealed, it was always settled with cold steel.

This wasn't just about training; it was about forging true soldiers. Hothouse flowers never survive the storm.

"Ready!"

"Get—!"

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Behind a massive boulder, the pirate captain gripped his blade in his right hand and raised his left, just about to swing it down and order his men to open fire—hoping to seize the initiative.

But the Marines, as if reading his mind, lined up at the rail. Rifles leveled, they unleashed a hail of suppressive fire, cutting him off before he could act.

Gunshots cracked through the air, pinning the pirates behind cover. None dared lift their heads.

"Damn it!!"

"Grab your weapons! When the Marines hit the shore—kill every last one of them!"

"Hack them to pieces!!"

The pirate captain, his plans thwarted, roared in frustration.

Moments later, as the warship docked, the gunfire ceased.

One by one, Marines vaulted over the rail, swords gleaming as they charged the beach.

The pirate captain peeked from behind the boulder. Seeing the Marines leaping down with drawn blades, he screamed,

"The Marines are coming!"

"Attack! Take them down!"

Brandishing a massive sword nearly as tall as himself, he led the charge.

His crew bellowed, voices hoarse with fear and desperation:

"Kill the Marines!"

"Follow the captain!"

"Charge!"

The pirates surged forward in a wild, ragged rush.

But on the Marines' side, there was only silence. Every soldier moved with grim determination, faces expressionless.

Blades met in a brutal clash. The Marines cut through the pirates with chilling efficiency, showing no mercy.

Shlick!

The sound of steel piercing flesh rang out again and again.

Sparks flew as swords collided, the metallic din echoing across the blood-soaked sand.

In mere moments, nearly half the pirates lay dead or dying.

Clang!

A pirate captain's wild swing slammed into a Marine's blade, forcing the soldier back. He glanced around—half his crew already gone, the sand running red.

"Useless cowards!"

"Fight like your lives depend on it!"

"The Marines aren't going to let us live!"

"Kill them all!!"

The pirates' crumbling morale flared up, madness flickering in their eyes.

"He's right—the Marines won't spare us!"

"Kill!"

"Stick with the boss!"

"Charge!"

Watching the pirates descend into desperate frenzy, a Marine officer cut down another foe and raised his sword high.

"Pick up the pace!"

"End this—now!"

The Marines, silent until now, suddenly shouted as one:

"Yes, sir!!"

Their voices thundered with unstoppable morale.

Under that iron discipline, pirates fell one after another—slain or maimed, left writhing on the sand.

The shouts and screams faded, replaced by pitiful wails and desperate pleas.

"Help! I don't want to die!"

"I'm sorry! Please, Marine sir, spare me!"

"Waaah! My child's still so young! Please, have mercy!"

"I'll never do it again! Please!"

The beach was awash with blood and tears as countless pirates broke down, sobbing and begging for their lives.

"I haven't even become a great pirate yet!"

"How can I die here?!"

"Get out of my way!"

Watching his men fall and hearing their cries, terror finally overwhelmed the pirate captain. He roared to keep his courage alive, driving back another Marine with a wild swing.

Suddenly, he spotted something—hope flickered in his eyes. He broke away, sprinting toward the side of the beach.

"Quick… quick!!"

"Bring them here!!"

"AHAHAHAHA!!"

His voice quivered with excitement.

He raced toward a figure dragging four terrified children across the sand.

Thud!

He kicked aside a paralyzed crewmate, snarling,

"Out of my way!"

Snatching the children, he hoisted them up, gripping one tightly. His massive blade hovered at the child's shoulder, his eyes wild and unhinged.

"AHAHAHAHA!!"

"Everyone—stop right there!!"
