Chapter 17: 《One Piece: Magma of Absolute》Chapter 17: The Vanishing Roger
When Sakazuki reached the shore, the Buster Call fleet had already docked along the coastline.
Hundreds of Marine soldiers poured from the ships, gathering the wounded from the Four Blues branches, bandaging and treating injuries amidst the chaos.
Clutching his chest, Sakazuki strode over. His uniform was torn and soaked in blood, flesh mangled, crimson dripping from both hands.
Vice Admiral Ward Morris, busy directing the rescue, turned just in time to see Sakazuki's battered state. His eyes widened.
"Medic! Over here, now!"
"Quick, check Sakazuki!"
"How'd you get so banged up?"
"No… cough... cough..." Sakazuki started to wave them off, but a sudden fit of coughing forced him to lie down on the stretcher the medics rushed over with, his brow furrowed in annoyance.
"Ran into Charlotte Linlin while chasing down a pirate," he explained, voice hoarse as the medics tended to his wounds. "Didn't have time to finish the job. She managed to snatch the pirate away."
Once his wounds were bandaged, Sakazuki brushed aside the medic trying to hold him down and got to his feet, stretching stiff muscles.
"So that's why," Morris said, realization dawning. "No wonder."
"What's up?" Sakazuki asked, frowning.
"No wonder Charlotte Linlin went berserk on the fleet. She put a lot of our guys in the hospital."
"Uh… cough, cough…"
"Hahahaha! Never thought I'd see you make that face, Sakazuki!" Morris teased, grinning. The rare moment of embarrassment on the usually unflappable admiral was too good to pass up.
Sakazuki coughed again, clearly uncomfortable—after all, he'd played a part in this disaster. But Morris just laughed, delighted by the unexpected glimpse of humanity.

At the heart of God Valley, the battlefield raged on.
CLANG!
SIZZLE!
Two swords, both wreathed in crackling Conqueror's Haki, clashed. The sound of metal striking metal rang out, yet the blades themselves never actually touched. Instead, at their intersection, a small orb of black-violet energy flickered and sparked.
With every sizzle, arcs of black-purple lightning erupted outward, rampaging across the battlefield. Everything the lightning touched was obliterated—reduced to drifting ash.
Suddenly, a figure appeared at Rocks' left flank. His right fist, sheathed in a nearly tangible armor of Armament Haki, drew back and slammed forward.
"HAH!!!" Rocks roared, fury boiling over.
A surge of power exploded from within him, hurling Roger—locked in a desperate struggle—clear across the ruins.
BOOM—!
Roger crashed through shattered walls and broken stone, vanishing from sight.
Without missing a beat, Rocks' left hand, wrapped in Conqueror's Haki, smashed into Garp's legendary iron fist.
The clash rang out, metal on metal, followed by a sound like shattering glass.
CRACK!
From the point of impact, countless fissures spiderwebbed outward, as if the very fabric of space was splintering.
For an instant, the two titans held their ground—then, with a deafening explosion, the world itself seemed to burst apart, sending both men flying backward.
Behind Rocks, the sword-wielding Five Elder Star appeared, his demonic blade shrouded in swirling black and red energy. He swung, aiming to cut down Rocks mid-flight.
But Rocks twisted in midair, channeling Conqueror's Haki into his blade, and met the attack head-on.
CLANG!
SIZZLE!
The two auras collided, unleashing a blinding white flash. Endless black-violet lightning exploded outward, annihilating everything in its path. Using the force of the blast, Rocks rocketed even higher into the sky.
A moment later, the hulking Five Elder Star appeared, bursting through the white light and leaping after Rocks. His right arm, wrapped in Conqueror's Haki, drew back to its limit before he unleashed a devastating punch.
Rocks barely managed to raise his blade in defense.
He was sent hurtling toward the earth like a meteor—where, down below, Kong was waiting.
With a mighty roar, Kong threw a punch, compressing the air into a solid, conical shockwave that blasted upward.
RUMBLE!
The sound was thunder itself, tearing through the sky.
Every Marine stationed on the coast instinctively turned to look, as if struck by a bolt from the blue.
The clashing Conqueror's Haki shredded the storm clouds overhead. Lightning danced and thunder crashed as the titanic battle raged on.
At a distance, Sengoku, Rayleigh, and the other legends maintained their positions, Observation Haki pushed to the limit as they kept a constant watch on Rocks.
But the man who had been sent flying—Roger—had yet to reappear.
And in the chaos, his absence went unnoticed...
