Chapter 18: 《One Piece: Magma of Absolute》Chapter 18: The Observation Haki That Listens to All Things

Clang!

Sizzle!

Blades clashed, lightning raged unchecked!

The Five Elder Star wielding the demonic blade, locked in fierce combat with Rocks, suddenly sensed something amiss.

"Damn it!"

A sharp cry of alarm burst from his lips. For an instant, ruthlessness flashed in his eyes—he abruptly pulled back, letting Rocks' slash send him flying.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Before anyone could question him, a surge of Conqueror's Haki exploded, blasting away the swirling dust. Blood trickled from his mouth as he clutched his chest and rose from the rubble. Turning to Kong and Garp, he barked, "Keep Rocks busy!"

Then, to the burly Five Elder Star, he snapped, "Get to the temple's underground, now!"

With a stomp, his figure vanished, darting toward the ruined palace. The burly Five Elder Star caught on instantly, his face darkening as he charged after him.

Deep beneath the palace, in the underground sanctuary, Roger stood beside the super warship.

The floor was littered with the bodies of countless CP agents, all lifeless and still.

His right hand rested gently on the warship's hull, as if caressing a beloved child.

He could feel the ship's joy—pure, innocent, like a child reunited with a parent. Roger's lips curved in a faint smile, but the happiness would not come.

"The bloodline of D, huh…"

With his Observation Haki that listened to all things, he sensed the warship's elation, a child's glee at finding its guardian.

Roger fell silent. For a fleeting moment, a wave of tenderness washed over him—but he forced it down.

This ship couldn't be taken now, and he couldn't let it fall into Rocks' hands either.

If left here, the Celestial Dragons would eventually crack its secrets.

He closed his eyes, letting his Haki flow outward—listening to the voices of all things. In that instant, he learned the warship's history… and its single, fatal weakness.

As his Observation Haki enveloped the vessel, the ship seemed to understand. The joy faded, replaced by a deep, sorrowful wail—like a child weeping in the dark.

"I'm sorry, little one."

Roger opened his eyes, face blank. He drew his blade, Ace, one of the Supreme Grade swords, and wrapped it in Conqueror's Haki. His voice was low, almost mournful.

He raised his arm.

"Stop!"

A furious roar echoed as the sword-wielding Five Elder Star appeared, a torrent of Conqueror's Haki surging toward Roger. A massive slash tore through the air.

Roger didn't flinch. He ignored the oncoming attack, standing motionless, expression unreadable.

He swung his blade.

"Divine Departure."

The words were flat, emotionless.

Ace sliced through the warship's armored hull, cleaving deep into its core. Instantly, the Conqueror's Haki coiled around the blade erupted inside the ship.

Black-violet lightning, alive with intent, raced through the vessel—striking at its most vulnerable point.

The next moment, the force of the Five Elder Star's slash sent Roger flying, slamming him into the underground wall and leaving a massive, sword-shaped crater.

"Damn it!" the Five Elder Star snarled, fury blazing. It was too late.

The burly Five Elder Star arrived, face twisted with rage as he saw the super warship begin to tremble.

As Five Elder Stars, they knew exactly what this ship was.

In truth, whether the warship could be deciphered didn't matter—Lord Imu held a trump card powerful enough to cleanse the world. This ship was just another weapon of mass destruction in their eyes.

Whether it could be unlocked was irrelevant. Otherwise, they wouldn't have ordered its destruction along with the island if necessary.

What truly enraged them was being played by Roger.

They stood at the pinnacle of the world, ruling over all—yet they'd been tricked by him! Even if they didn't care about this thing, even if they smashed it and tossed it away, that didn't mean he had the right to touch it.

Roger had seized the moment when everyone was distracted by the battle. He'd slipped into their "room" and broken their "toy." That was what truly infuriated the two Five Elder Stars.

Such an uncontrollable man…

Murderous intent poured from them, pressing down on Roger like a tidal wave.

Roger didn't care in the slightest. He flexed his body, prying himself free from the crater and dropping to the ground.

"Gentlemen, maybe we should take this outside? This place is about to come down."

Landing lightly, Roger flashed a broad grin, his hearty voice echoing as if nothing at all had happened.

He spoke with easy nonchalance, utterly unfazed.

And just as he said, the warship's tremors grew more violent, a wild energy surging within its hull.

Scowling, the two Five Elder Stars forced down their killing intent—for now. Being buried a hundred meters underground would be a real hassle. Besides, taking down Rocks was still the top priority.

That "special ability user" who'd joined Rocks was actually a World Government plant—deliberately released. The plan was just one step from completion.

"Hmph. We're leaving," the sword-wielding Five Elder Star spat after a tense standoff.

Face like thunder, he turned and stormed off, the burly one right behind him.

Roger laughed heartily, striding toward the passageway. At the threshold, he paused, then continued—only to stop again after a few steps.

He turned, gazing back at the warship. The smile faded. In a rare, gentle voice, he whispered, "I'm sorry."

Then he turned away, smile returning, as if nothing had happened at all.

RUMBLE!

The warship's energy grew wilder by the second. The underground hall began to collapse…
