Chapter 459: Chapter 460: The Six Hells

Chapter 460: The Six Hells

Charlotte was satisfied seeing how serious everyone looked.

He had to clearly explain the layout of Impel Down. One careless mistake, and someone might get killed.

And these were his people—his children. Losing even one would tear his heart apart.

---

"Level 1 – Crimson Hell."

"Here, the prisoners aren't too dangerous. They're small fry," Charlotte explained as he pointed at the diagram.

"Outside the cells is a forest-like terrain, but the 'trees' have blade-like leaves, and the 'grass' is made of needle-sharp blades that can pierce flesh. Prisoners are chased endlessly by guards and venomous spiders—forced to run through this death trap, bleeding and suffering every second."

Some of the younger crew members shrank back just hearing about it.

---

"Level 2 – Beast Hell."

"This level is full of violent creatures—chickensnakes, man-faced lions, venomous scorpions, and more.

Their boss? The Sphinx.

Prisoners here know they're just meat waiting to be eaten. They're too terrified to even be afraid."

---

"Level 3 – Starvation Hell."

"This one holds criminals with bounties over 50 million.

But thanks to the heat rising from Level 4 below, it's boiling hot.

No food, no water. Just endless hunger and thirst. Most prisoners are half-dead."

---

"Level 4 – Blazing Hell."

"This is where the Chief Warden's office is—it'll be the real battlefield for us.

There's also the kitchen and food stores. The whole place feels like a giant boiling cauldron, with blood pools and fire pits.

You can drop down from Level 3 through the vents, but land wrong, and you'll get more than just burns.

Prisoners are 'purified' here before they even enter."

---

"Level 5 – Freezing Hell."

"This one's for pirates with bounties over 100 million.

The temperature is even lower than a deep freezer. Prisoners get severe frostbite and freeze to death.

There's also a forest here full of demon wolves—even more savage than the beasts in Level 2.

Also worth noting: no Den Den Mushi are installed on this level due to the extreme cold."

Charlotte shrugged. "Not that I care about that. We're invading the prison. You think I'm afraid of surveillance?"

He already had countermeasures in place.

---

"Level 6 – Eternal Hell."

"This one's a secret—most of the world doesn't even know it exists.

Outsiders think Impel Down only has five levels. But Level 6… is the real nightmare."

Charlotte's tone grew colder.

"This is where the monsters erased from history are kept.

People too dangerous to be allowed to live—death row inmates, life sentences, and criminals whose names are wiped from newspapers and records.

This is our target. Both Golden Lion Shiki and Red Earl Patrick Redfield are here.

If we want to rescue them, we'll have to break through everything above."

He tapped the sixth level heavily.

The room was silent.

Everyone stared at the blackboard with grave expressions.

This was their first time truly understanding Impel Down—not as some abstract prison, but a terrifying fortress.

"I swear, if the Marines ever catch me, I'd rather die than go to that place," muttered Robert.

"For real. I'd rather get executed than thrown in there," Deidara agreed.

Charlotte rolled his eyes.

Thwack! He lightly knocked both on the head with his pointer stick.

"One more thing—most of Impel Down is built with Sea Prism Stone. So, those of you with Devil Fruits—don't get caught slipping."

"Yes, sir!"

Everyone shouted in unison.

The core members were all Devil Fruit users. Only a few low-level crew—and Charlotte himself—were exceptions.

"Good. Everyone return to your rooms and prepare. Get your heads right."

They'd been underwater for over two weeks now.

Soon, they would arrive at Impel Down.

Charlotte knew the final battle was close.

They only surfaced at night to avoid detection.

---

Meanwhile, inside Impel Down...

A man in a black military uniform, with small black wings on his back, walked briskly down a corridor.

"Please… give me water… I'm dying of thirst…"

Voices echoed from all around—desperate prisoners reaching out from their cells.

But the man—Magellan, the Deputy Chief Warden—ignored them all.

"Deputy Chief!"

Guards saluted as he passed.

"Hmph," Magellan grunted, resisting an… urgent pressure.

"What's with the Deputy Chief?" asked a new guard.

"You don't know?" said an older warden, smug. "He's a Paramecia-type user of the Venom-Venom Fruit. Even his breath is poisonous.

Every time he eats, his food gets laced with poison—so potent that even he can't digest it properly. That's why he spends ten hours a day with diarrhea.

He only gets 8 hours of sleep, 4 hours to work, and the rest… on the toilet."

The old guard grinned like it was a joke.

The new guy looked completely stunned.

"Ten hours… of diarrhea every day?"

Flussssh!

The toilet flushed.

Magellan emerged, finally looking relieved.

"Where's Shiryu?" he asked the patrolling guard.

"Sir! The Chief Warden is… on Level 6."

Magellan frowned.

He already knew what Shiryu was doing down there.

Killing prisoners again, probably.

That irritated him.

These criminals were supposed to be kept alive, even if only for their trial at Enies Lobby. Shiryu had no right to kill them as he pleased.
