Coby was starting to think maybe Kuma hadn't listened to his suggestion after all. But as he walked past one of the last cells, he stopped cold. Inside was a small figure, bound in heavy iron, his entire body covered except for a single eye, which stared out at Coby with hope and desperation.

"Luffy!" Coby shouted, rushing forward.

Luffy was so bound he couldn't even answer. His eyes lit up with relief as Coby rushed over and undid all his shackles. The second he was free, Luffy jumped up and hugged Coby tightly.

"Coby! I'm so glad to see you!" Luffy said, his voice cracking with emotion.

Coby hugged him back, a small grin tugging at his lips. "I'm glad to see you too, Luffy." He glanced at Ivankov, who had been watching the reunion with a raised eyebrow. "Tell your people to send a lot of meat, fast."

Ivankov nodded and left the room to handle it.

Coby looked at Luffy, quickly scanning him for injuries. "How did you end up like this?"

Luffy growled, clearly frustrated. "That bear man sent me here. One minute I'm fighting on Sabaody, and the next thing I know, I'm locked up in this cell!"

Indeed, it was Coby who suggested to Kuma that Luffy be sent to Marineford. His hope had been that Luffy would be placed next to Ace, giving the brothers some time together. He never expected they would lock him up like this. But he couldn't say that out loud.

Luffy stared at Coby, confused. "What are you doing here?" he asked, scratching his head.

Coby blinked, surprised. "You seriously don't know?"

Luffy shook his head, clearly lost. "No idea."

Coby let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Ace is about to be executed by the Marines. It's all over the news. They're planning to kill him at Marineford, and Whitebeard's going to show up for a huge battle." He paused, glancing at Luffy. "I figured you would do everything to save him, so I rushed here to help."

Luffy's eyes widened in shock, the realization finally hitting him. "What?!" His voice cracked as he grabbed Coby by the shoulders. "Ace is going to be executed?!"

Coby nodded grimly. "Yeah. They already moved him to Marineford. That's why we need to get out of here as fast as possible."

Luffy looked down, his fists clenched tight. "We've gotta save him. We can't let them kill Ace!"

Coby nodded. "We will. But first, let's get you some food. Then, we'll break out of here and head straight for Marineford."

Luffy grinned, his grip on Coby's shoulders tight with gratitude. "Thank you, Coby."

Without missing a beat, Coby hammered his fist into Luffy's chest, knocking him back a step. "What the hell are you thanking me for?" Coby asked, shaking his head.

Luffy rubbed his nose, laughing. "Yeah, sorry!"

Before anything else could be said, Ivankov's people arrived, bringing a mountain of food and a pile of clothes from the prisoners in the sixth floor. They even managed to find Luffy's Straw Hat, which was sitting on top of the heap. Luffy's eyes lit up as he grabbed his hat and placed it on his head, grinning widely.

"Meat! Finally!" Luffy shouted before diving into the food, tearing through it like a wild animal. In minutes, he cleared the entire spread, licking his fingers clean. Coby watched, shaking his head, but a small smirk tugged at his lips.

"Alright, ready?" Coby asked, already knowing the answer.

Luffy stood, a fierce grin on his face. "Let's go save Ace!"

During Coby's 'rest,' most of the riot had been extinguished, but the damage was done. The guards were injured and scattered, with only Magellan still standing strong, his presence dominating the prison. Coby, Luffy, Ivankov, Jinbe, Crocodile, and the rest of the Newkama made their way up, passing by cells filled with prisoners too scared to come out.

Coby, undeterred by the fear, continued freeing people as they moved. Some prisoners were poisoned, barely able to stand, while others refused to leave their cells, trembling at the thought of Magellan's wrath. But Coby didn't care. His priority was chaos, and the more people they freed, the better their chances of escaping.

"Hey, Coby," Luffy called from behind, his voice filled with frustration. "Why aren't these guys coming out?"

"They're afraid," Coby replied, tossing another wax key into a cell. The prisoners inside glanced at each other nervously but stayed put. "Magellan's poison got to most of them, and the rest don't want to deal with him again."

Luffy frowned, clenching his fists. "We don't have time for this! We have to keep moving!"

Ivankov stepped up beside Luffy, his voice carrying a playful edge despite the tension. "Luffy-boy is right. We need to get going before more guards show up. Let those who want to stay, stay."

Jinbe nodded in agreement, glancing back toward the lower levels. "Magellan will be coming for us soon. We need to reach the exit before he catches up."

Coby grinned, moving ahead without slowing down. "Then let's go."

The group pressed on, climbing higher through the levels. At some point, Mr. 1 joined them. As they approached the top floors, the chaos began to die down. Most of the prisoners they passed were either unconscious from the poison or had already been subdued by the remaining guards. The air was thick with the scent of blood and burning debris.

Strangely, they didn't encounter Magellan on their way out. Coby then remembered something: Blackbeard had also come to the prison to break out some prisoners. "Magellan must be dealing with them right now," he muttered, keeping his pace as they neared the exit.

When they reached the front door, Jinbe wasted no time. With a grunt, he grabbed the massive door, his muscles bulging as he easily ripped it from its hinges. The others watched as Jinbe flung the giant metal slab straight into the ocean. It splashed down, floating on the water like a makeshift raft.

"Let's use that as a ride to one of the ships," Jinbe said, already moving toward the edge of the platform.

As the rest hopped on the makeshift raft while Jinbei dove underwater to carry it, Coby stood at the edge, glancing back at Impel Down. The prison loomed behind them, smoke rising from the chaos they caused. He couldn't help but chuckle. He spooted some familiar faces while running down the day before. Buggy and others had been let loose in the frenzy, but Buggy hadn't been able to rally the same crowd of prisoners around him as in original series. He wasn't their savior this time—just another bastard who got lucky. Magellan had subdued them while Coby was "resting."

Coby shook his head, wondering if Buggy would still manage to spin this into making himself a big shot. The clown had a knack for surviving in ridiculous ways.

"Let's go!" Luffy shouted from the raft, waving his arms. He was already bouncing in place, eager to move on.

Raft moved in record speed as Coby stood next to Luffy. Jinbei propelled them forward with a powerful stroke from beneath, gliding smoothly across the water.

"Well, that was a mess," Coby muttered, settling down on the raft. "But we made it out."

Luffy grinned, stretching his arms behind his head. "Yeah, but now we gotta get to Marineford fast. Ace is waiting!"

Jinbe quickly got them near a Marine ship, and they wasted no time clearing it of the guards. Luffy, Coby, and the others cut through the Marines on board, tossing them overboard as they took control of the vessel.

Once they secured the ship, Coby moved to another nearby Marine ship. He hoisted the sails and adjusted the course, a smirk on his face as he hopped back to their ship.

"What are you doing, Coby?" Luffy asked, raising an eyebrow.

Coby grinned, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "I'm testing fate."
