"How about coming with me to Konoha?" Jiraiya offered.

"Konoha, huh? I need to ask for my clan's opinion before deciding to migrate there," said Raiken.

"Alright. If you decide to come, let me know. My training will end in three days, then I'll be leaving this place and heading back to Konoha," Jiraiya replied.

Chapter 7: Choice

Raiken gathered his thoughts. His sister, Uzumaki Kushina, had been sent to Konoha as the next candidate for the Nine-Tails' Jinchuuriki. Ordinary shinobi couldn't contain the nine tails Kyuubi even Uzumaki Mito, who was highly skilled in sealing techniques, had struggled to seal the beast within her own body.

That was why Konoha had requested a member of the Uzumaki clan to become the next Jinchuuriki.

Few hour ago, Raiken simply wanted to find a way to escape the island and reach the safest place for his people which is Konoha. Rather than scattering and living in unknown villages, risking persecution by other shinobi, it seemed better to stay together in Konoha.

Besides, the fall of Uzushiogakure had been largely due to Uchiha Madara. At this point in time, Madara had awakened the Rinnegan. But his aging body was no longer viable, so he needed someone to use the Rinnegan and supply chakra to the empty shell of the Ten Tails.

In original timeline, Nagato was his victim. After they leave Uzushiogakure they are living in unknown villages and what happen after that is tragic. His parents were killed infront of him and finally Nagato manage to awaken the Rinnengan that had been in dormant.

The Uzumaki clan was the ideal target, thanks to their enormous chakra reserves and unique kekkei genkai.

However, after arriving at Mount Myoboku, Raiken no longer saw Konoha as a safe option. Something about the village was far too suspicious, the island just beside land of Fire but Konoha didn't notice anything.

There were many theories circulating about how Uzushiogakure had fallen so easily. A popular one claimed that Konoha had betrayed them. Whether the betrayal came from Hiruzen and Danzo or Danzo alone was still a matter of debate. In any case, going to Konoha no longer seemed like a good idea. It would be safer to stay here and train in Sage Mode with the toads.

Breed here for 20 years, train everyday and when the population reached 10,000 seek a revenge.

It was a good idea but then the livestream system activated.

Someone who knew the plotline of the Naruto world must have wanted to see him defy the plotline and create a butterfly effect and make the story more interesting.

So he decided to test it. He activated the online livestream.

"Hi, my name is Uzumaki Raiken, and I'm currently on the run. We just escaped from Uzushiogakure," Raiken said.

Weighing the pros and cons, Raiken made his decision.

He would head to Konoha.

That way, he could attract more viewers and more stars.

When Raiken returned, he saw several people had already started cooking. Fortunately, he had told them earlier to seal the food supplies otherwise, they'd be stuck searching for worms around here.

If he remembered correctly, this place did have food, but it was mostly meant for toads mainly earth worms. Not exactly the kind of cuisine his people would appreciate, especially after escaping a war-torn village. Even in the past Raiken had never eat worms.

Suddenly, Gamaryohi returned, bringing along another toad who looked older but much smaller in size. Beside him stood a human with spiky white hair.

"Yo," Raiken greeted casually, while brushing some dust off his pants.

"Gamaryohi-sama, how did it go with your elders? Did they permit us to stay here?" Raiken asked, stepping forward.

"Well, yes," Gamaryohi replied with a small nod. "But someone wants to meet you." He gestured toward the old toad and the white-haired man.

"Hi, I'm Uzukage," Raiken introduced himself politely. "May I know who you are?"

The old toad gave a small nodded and introduced himself. "My name is Gamasenji. You can call me Grandpa or Pa if you prefer. And this boy here is Jiraiya. He's a villager from Konoha."

"Im not simply villager, Pa" said Jiraiya. "I am a Shinobi"

Raiken's eyes widened slightly. He had a feeling the boy was Jiraiya, but seeing him in person was different. The 2D version and 3D version real-life appearance didn't quite match.

Even though Raiken had seen Jiraiya countless times in the anime, the real version looked a little different. The only reason he recognized him was because of the distinct spiky white hair.

Jiraiya stepped forward, his expression serious but curious.

"Are you from Uzushiogakure?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm from Uzushiogakure," Raiken replied, voice firm but calm.

"Is it true that your village has been wiped out?" Jiraiya asked again.

Raiken's expression tensed for a moment, but he quickly calmed himself. The memories were still fresh, screams, fire, blood. But he couldn't afford to break down here.

"We asked for reinforcements, but it was too late. So we escaped using a reverse summoning technique," Raiken explained. "What about you, Jiraiya? What are you doing here?"

"I'm training in Sage Mode," Jiraiya said. "But then Gamaryohi told me your village was attacked. I'm glad your clan managed to escape."
