Chapter 5: System Activate
---Escape---
"It's done," said Hiroki, breathing heavily. "I did it!"
"Can we use it now?" asked Raiken, his voice tense with anticipation.
"Yes. Toad-sama, please touch the end of this scroll and try to reverse summon everyone to Mount Myōboku," Hiroki explained while unrolling the long parchment filled with intricate sealing patterns.
"Alright," replied Gamaryohi with a solemn nod. He pressed his palm against the edge of the scroll, channeling his chakra.
In an instant, a puff of smoke erupted, engulfing everyone. Within seconds, the entire group vanished from Uzushiogakure, leaving behind nothing but silence.
For a moment, time itself seemed to stand still. Even Hiroki, who had meticulously planned the seal, was speechless as reality settled in.
Then, a voice broke through the silence.
"We... we're saved."
"Yeah... we're finally safe."
"I can't sense their chakra anymore."
Tears began to flow freely. Some people clung to their spouses in disbelief, others embraced their children tightly. Yet many stood alone, mourning quietly grieving the husbands, wives, and comrades who had stayed behind to defend Uzushiogakure with their lives.
Raiken, overwhelmed, could no longer stand. He collapsed to his knees on the soft grass, the weight of it all pressing down on him.
"Thank you," he whispered to Gamaryohi, who stood beside him like a silent guardian.
"Don't mention it," Gamaryohi replied with a soft smile. "Now I'll need to inform the old man that we've got guests."
Kenshiro, Hiroki, and Arata approached Raiken. When they were first assigned to follow him by the former Uzukage, they had been skeptical. Raiken was younger, less experienced and yet the former leader had placed his faith in him.
But today, Raiken proved that faith was not misplaced. He had led them to safety. He had shown courage, ingenuity, and the will to fight. From this moment on, the three shinobi vowed to follow Raiken with no more doubts in their hearts.
Hiroki extended a hand. Raiken looked up and grasped it. With one firm pull, he was brought to his feet.
"Thank you," Raiken said, smiling weakly. Then, turning toward the crowd, he raised his voice.
"Everyone, we've made it out. We're safe, for now. We'll stay here in Mount Myōboku for a few days to recover, and then... we'll choose a new home, together."
A loud cheer erupted from the survivors of Uzushiogakure. Relief, hope, and unity echoed across the mountain.
---Konoha Reinforcement---
By the time Konoha's reinforcements arrived, the battle was long over. The attackers had already retreated, leaving behind only scorched earth and the broken bodies of fallen Uzumaki shinobi.
The village lay in ruins. The once-proud stronghold of Uzushiogakure had been reduced to ashes.
Not a single soul remained to recount what had happened.
The somber report was delivered back to Konoha. Within hours, the news spread across the Land of Fire—Uzushiogakure had fallen.
---Reaction---
The first to be struck with disbelief was none other than Madara Uchiha.
The plan he had crafted over decades shaped by patience, deception and manipulation, had collapsed in a single day.
"Toad Summoning" muttered Madara. He had never had a pet summoning, no he had one which is the Nine Tails who had been forcefully bound using his Mangekyou Sharingan.
So he didn't know about reverse summoning, this attack could be successful if he knows about reverse summoning.
He hadn't anticipated the possibility of reverse summoning.
"Where are they now?" he demanded.
"Our White Zetsu network can't trace them," replied White Zetsu. "It seems they've escaped to another dimension."
Madara clenched his fists.
"Damn it. All that planning... wasted."
He had intended to implant his Rinnegan into a suitable host. He had chosen an Uzumaki ninja because of their immense vitality and massive chakra reserves. But now, the only viable candidates, the Uzumaki had slipped from his grasp.
The Uchiha were also compatible with the Rinnegan, but the Rinne Rebirth technique required an enormous amount of chakra. Uchiha, in general, had less chakra compared to the Uzumaki, which meant they might not have enough energy to perform the jutsu successfully.
Rinne Rebirth was a technique Madara had discovered after awakening the Rinnegan. Through his research, he learned that when a shinobi dies, their soul doesn't immediately vanish. Instead, their body remains in an astral form trapped in another dimension. This form would persist until their chakra completely dissipated, only then would true death occur.
Every living being possesses both a soul and a body, but a shinobi's body is unique, it is composed of chakra. Even if their physical form is destroyed, the remaining chakra can act as a temporary vessel, allowing them to live and thought they had died.
The only known way to bring someone back from this state is by using the Rinnegan to forcibly pull their astral form back into this dimension.
Madara had once tried to use Rinne Rebirth on his younger brother, Izuna, but by the time he attempted it, Izuna astral form had already faded and he already dead in that dimension. That was why he hadn't simply revived dead Uchiha clansmen to aid in his plans.
They had been dead too long and Their chakra had vanished and they are no longer in astral dimension.
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, the shinobi coalition that had attacked Uzushiogakure sat in uneasy silence. Despite breaking through the village defenses and slaughtering many Uzumaki, they could not smile.
Their losses had been staggering. Even Kage-level warriors had been struck down by the fierce and desperate defenders.
In this timeline, the Uzumaki fought with everything they had. Unlike in the original story, where they had been scattered and picked off and killed, this time they stood united.
Almost one-third of the invading army had been wiped out.
To make matters worse, their war trophies—supplies, scrolls, and the coveted sealing jutsu—had all vanished. The Uzumaki had taken everything important with them before their escape.
The bitterness of failure lingered on their heart.
The Third Raikage flew into a rage.
Ōnoki of the Hidden Stone nearly suffered a heart attack from the shock.
Even the Mizukage, who had been so confident in this alliance of convenience, was left seething at the outcome.
But no one was more furious than Danzō Shimura.
His carefully calculated scheme had unraveled. He now knew that the Uzumaki clan had not only survived—but had escaped completely with their sealing scroll.
They were out there somewhere and they would return.
But then he calmed down, he had power here to demand of their scroll or could recruit them to the root.
---System Activate---
Raiken who just breathed with relief suddenly shocked when he heard the noise like DJI drone when it was just started.
